Great Women Characters

I understand this drama might not be everyone’s cup of coffee.

I watched it first because of Lee Sang Yeob, and second because I do boxing too and I love it.
But then I fell in love with Kim So Hye, this is the first time I watch her.
She nails her character. She can be cute and adorable, lost and vulnerable, but she can be strong and determined too.
Actually I like all the women characters here. They’re brave, resilient, and they’re also kind. Not one of them is toxic.
Even the rivals are pushing and motivating each other to give their best.
And that’s one important take away message from this drama. To not run away from your pain and hardship, instead do your best to find the answer to yourself.

My second favorite is Han Ah Reum. But Jung Soo Yeon and Jo Ah Ra are also cool.
I also like Coach Ho Joong.

Kim Jin Woo as Han Jae Min was the weakest link in this drama. I couldn’t read his expression at all.

I don’t really care about the villain and his betting industry.

Also I agree with another reviewer, how could Lee Kwon Suk’s father redeemed himself so easily. He was as good as k’lled his wife and traumatized his daughter.

The final match is interesting. It’s not anti climactic at all. In my opinion the result is perfect, it’s what they both needed to get. Who loves the ring the most will be the winner.
The boxing scenes are quite good and convincing. I admire the determined look on their faces.

The romance maybe unnecessary.
But I’m trying to understand it from Kwon Suk’s POV.
She needs someone she can rely on. She needs a father/brother figure. She has so much love to give and so much energy to care for someone else.

And I like the way Lee Sang Yeob was being very careful not to show his feeling toward her and tried to be professional while also protecting her.

But, as much as I love Sang Yeob, I feel he’s overdosing his puppy eyes expressions here. Those are perfect for Love Affairs in The Afternoon, but it annoyed me in this drama. He should toughen up a little bit.

All in all it’s an easy, leisurely watch.
Watch it if you love Lee Sang Yeob, or boxing, or watch it for the ‘women support women’ cliche.

it's so warming

It was a total Rollercoaster like the starting got me giggling and kicking air - the innocemt romance and their playfullness made my heart flutter too
and then after timeskip i was like pissed at mc and their poor communication it'd have been great if they got together back quickly
- but then it got bit emotional and I had a good cry. The ml was such a good character I smiled whenever his face was up and cried with him.
i really liked his acting.
the ending was so warm I really love how shin communicates so well. the ending was satisfying I really loved the couple.
truly the masterpiece I'm sad that it's underrated.
I'd surely rewatch it again though I'm sure Noone will read this but eh the ml ,I forgot the name , the shin guy - he's my type I want him so bad imma cry after looking him up on Google and discovering the drastic age gap.

plausible story full of emotions

__*Ano Ko no Kodomo (2024)**__ - 8.5/10 jdrama

This could be used as teaching material for teens.
It portrays the challenges, risks, and solutions surrounding intimate relationships at a young age.

It’s quite a short drama, and the first few episodes are presented in a unique style where the situation is shown from one character’s perspective, and in another episode, from another character’s viewpoint.

It’s a jdrama, meaning aesthetically, it’s quite a pleasing one. Thanks to its short length, it doesn’t get boring either.

__*plot*__ - Childhood sweethearts find themselves facing unexpected consequences after their relationship takes a serious turn—they are now expecting a child. It’s up to them, their friends, family, and teachers to navigate the challenges and responsibilities that follow.

A série é uma versão moderna de uma das lendas de amor mais populares na China que remonta a milhares de anos. Na cultura chinesa, o sétimo dia do sétimo mês do calendário lunar é conhecido como Qixi ou Festival do Duplo Sete, muitas vezes comparado ao Dia dos Namorados ocidental. O Qixi celebra o encontro anual de Zhinü (a Donzela Tecelã) e Niulang (o Pastor de Gado). Ambos se amam profundamente, mas a mãe da tecelã não quer que eles fiquem juntos. Então ela usa uma presilha para desenhar uma linha no céu e transformá-lo em um rio, separando os amantes para sempre. Mas o pai dela sente muita pena deles. Ele quer que eles se reencontrem, então ele fez os pássaros pega-rabuda voarem em linha e construírem uma ponte sobre o rio. Então desde o início eu já sabia que o nosso casal não teria o felizes para sempre tradicional. Acredito que por já conhecer a lenda, eu já sabia o que esperar. Além disso, os próprios personagens enfatizam a história da lenda nos primeiros episódios. Não achei a maneira não linear de contar a história confusa, mas concordo que alguns personagens não são essenciais para a história.

A série tem uma cinematografia impressionante e atuações sólidas, a química entre o casal principal é maravilhosa. As florestas exuberantes e as belas paisagens da Tailândia são de tirar o fôlego. As cenas de lutas foram bem coreografadas. E a música tema de abertura da série é eletrizante.

The second season amazed me!

As an artist and a writer, the second season is also mind-blowing and smart. Everything is so amazing especially how they use different form of arts and how it contributes to the execution of the cases. For this season they highlighted a lot of topics including the Artificial intelligence, Social and Psychology, Science and of course Art. I am so happy that in this season, the arts are expressing more emotions through colors and the cast executed very well. I love how the character developments seen here. Also, the details of each episode is very unique and again smart. You'll gain knowledge from this series and it taught us alot professionally. Hoping for 3rd season since it's gaining attention to weibo being top 1 trends for the past few days and still the cliffhanger :) Kudos to all the creators, cast and staffs of Under the Skin Series! 再见 !

Cute and Short Drama to watch when you just want to turn of your mind.

As there isn't a synopsis provided, I'll add it here before I get to my review:

The drama also know as The Richest Man Fell In Love With Me is about Su Ke Ke ((a delivery girl who lost her mother), who helps the richest man's grandfather, Grandpa Fu, by chance, and then is arranged to have a blind date with his grandson, the richest man, Fu Nancheng. In order to pay off her mother's medical debt, she accepts a dowry of 200,000 RMB to become Fu Nancheng's wife. Fu Nancheng is wary of Su Ke Ke and hides his true identity because the marriage is arranged by his grandfather. As they live together, their feelings for each other deepen, but Fu's wealthy background repeatedly becomes a source of misunderstanding, such as Fu's mother's visit, the group's banquet and the return of his childhood friend to his home country, which triggers a series of interesting misunderstandings and challenges.

Now onto the review. This is my first time doing it so excuse me if its not the best or most coordinated review.

This is a pretty good short drama, it is only about 2.5 hrs long in total, so you could consider it to be a movie and watch it in one go, or if you're tight on time, you could watch the episodes which are up to 2 minutes long whenever you have time.

As with a lot of these types of short dramas, especially the ones that are filmed vertically, the plot is quite simple. Poor girls marries a rich man due to circumstances but isn't aware her husband is rich. You get a mix of scenes, the quiet, cute and wholesome scenes of the two leads getting to know each other, and then the cliched bullying scenes where FL, Su Keke gets bullied by her co-workers and family for being poor and an orphan.

I very much loved the FL in this drama, it my first time seeing Xu Meng Yuan but I'll be checking out her other works. Meng Yuan did a great job as Su Keke. She's able to portray someone who is kindhearted, optimistic and while she's does get bullied she knows when to back down and when to fight back, she isn't completely a damsel in distress. I especially like her acting when she finds out Mr. Fu's true identity, you could tell how distraught she was, the way she was gasping for breaths while talking and crying made it feel realistic imo. The ML wasn't bad, there wasn't anything bad about his acting but nothing that really stood out to me. The moments between the two leads were super cute and wholesome.

The ML's grandpa and mother were also really great side characters. Both loving Su Keke and I loved how the FL's In-law weren't the cliched bully types but actually loved her. The mother in law was also really funny whenever she appeared!

The only bad thing about the drama are the "evil"/bully characters. Their characters and the acting was kinda overexaggerated, which is kinda cliche for this type of thing but I found it kinda annoying. It kind of dragged on in my opinion although when they got what they deserved it was quite satisfying.

Regarding the music, I don't particularly remember the music so I've given it a 5/10 as the midpoint value.

A Midlife Romcom That Feels Middle School

When you see the names "CJ ENM" and "Studio Dragon" flash across the screen in the opening credits, you know you’re in for a visual and technical treat. True to form, Love Your Enemy delivers on production quality, with polished cinematography and meticulous attention to detail. The music, too, is a standout, boasting contributions from some of the biggest names in the industry, making the OST a highlight of the drama.

The series starts strong, peppered with laugh-out-loud moments that genuinely catch you off guard. The humor, especially in the early episodes, keeps the tone light and engaging. However, as the narrative unfolds, it becomes clear that Love Your Enemy is, at its core, a textbook romcom.

Unfortunately, the drama leans heavily on tired tropes. The depiction of characters—despite being in their 40s—sometimes feels juvenile, bordering on cringeworthy. The frequent reliance on the "adults acting like middle schoolers" cliché detracts from the emotional depth that one might expect from a series with mature protagonists.

Midway through, I found myself hoping for a pivot—a moment where the story would rise above its predictable beats and offer something refreshing or profound. Sadly, that moment never came. While it’s not a bad drama by any means, it fails to leave a lasting impression, playing it safe within the confines of its genre.

Love Your Enemy is an easy watch for those seeking light entertainment with high production values and catchy music. But for viewers craving depth or a fresh take on romance, it might feel like a missed opportunity.

Comedy, Action and Humanity

Not the usual kdrama.
This series delivers exactly what it promises- comedy, action, and humanity. All the characters are so well created, props to both the writer and the actors. Loved ALL the good guys and I was crying with them through their struggles and hardships and cheering for them when they started standing up. Action was crazy, comedy was brilliant and there wasn't a single scene that was slow.
The story itself is very serious, they are dealing with a mass murderer who kills people whenever he feels like it and the good guys are at a great disadvantage from the beginning. But the comedy and positive energy of the Gudams balanced it out so well that I didn't think how dark it was until after the season ended.
Cinematography and directing was on another level, the drone shot of the action sequence in episode 1 and the action scenes in a single take blew my mind away. The music was fire. Now that all the episodes aired, I keep re-watching the season and it gets better every time. All the plot twists and reveals were obvious from the start, it's pretty genius.
It is a must watch if you are a fan of 90's Hong Kong comedy action movies.
This is the most fun series I have watched in a while, and I'll be waiting to watch season 3 of my favorite family even if it takes another 5 years.

Tem espaço para melhorias, mas é muito bom!

Roteiro: um roteiro leve, com poucas falhas e um um romance com desenvolvimento decente do casal principal. Os personagens protagonistas são bem profundos, para quem viu atentamente a história, ela não tem nada de simples.
De início, a saída de Ji Won Young de seu emprego mostra um censo de caráter interessante, não sei se é algo cultural na Coréia do Sul, mas me chamou atenção. Ele não foi demitido, mas acreditava que por seu superior ter sido pego roubando, ele deveria sair também, mesmo sem ter culpa. O desenvolvimento desse personagem é bom, mas não aconteceu nada fora do esperado. Ele saiu para uns dias de folga, encontrou Tae Joon e se aproximou dele, se apaixonou e infelizmente não teve tempo de contar a verdade por trás de sua aparição naquela pequena cidade. Isso me trouxe outra interrogação, sobre o caráter do chefe... Ele se despediu de Ji Won dizendo que ele tirasse férias, mas quando Ji Won ligou falando sobre quem ele encontrou, ele mudou o discurso, falando que se Tae Joon conseguisse trazê-lo teria seu emprego de novo (???).
Ainda sobre isso, creio que a falta de comunicação comum nas séries BL foi uma chatice, mas precisou acontecer para que a série chegasse ao final esperado. Ji Won poderia ter explicado tudo para seu amado, e tentado se redimir, mas precisou que o chefe viesse lá da baixa da égua pra contar tudo entes e quebrar a confiança de quem já não confiava em ninguém.

Sobre Yoon Tae Joon, que personagem profundo! Ele tem o rosto totalmente frio, mas seus olhos gritam seus reais sentimentos, o ator é realmente muito bom. Ele se sentiu ferido no final, pois tinha problemas em confiar e se sentiu traído, mas mesmo assim, continuou fazendo o que achava que seria bom para seu amado.
Ainda sobre ele, me ficaram duas dúvidas. A primeira é sobre a valorização do artesanato dele, como assim ele ser tão famoso pelas suas obras? Pergunto com sinceridade genuína, pois essa valorização não é algo que eu sinta no meu país.
Segundo, se ele era assim tão famoso, como conseguiu se manter escondido? Ok, ele se mudou para uma pequena cidade, mas nessa cidade ninguém nunca ouviu falar dele? Nenhum cliente nunca o reconheceu? Como pode isso, já que ele era muito famoso por sua arte? Essa parte não fez sentido. Ele no final se permitir fazer algo que ele.nao queria por achar que isso traria benefícios para seu amado foi lindo! E que bom que o final é feliz!

A série não tem vilões maquiavélicos, não tem cenas N/C, nem tampouco grandes plot twists, mas é linda! O romance na dose certa, a conquista, o jogo da paquera, os sentimentos sendo descobertos aos poucos deixando eles nervosos. São abordados temas relevantes como confiança, comunicação entre os casais, senso de justiça, caráter.
A ost da série é impecável, bem como a atuação e os detalhes técnicos. OBS: para um bom observador, existiram alguns erros de continuidade, mas que não comprometem as cenas.

Os beijos poderiam ser melhores? Sim! O casal secundário merecia um desenvolvimento ou um spin-off? Com certeza!

Enfim, eu amei! Voltarei a assistir com toda certeza, recomendo a todos.
