Patricia Tanchanok Good? I find her too immature for a nang'ek o this kind. Why don't they ever cast her into something lighter, more fitting her age and acting skill? I don't particularly wish to watch her with Alek. And looking at the drama's progress, it looks like we won't get rid off the crime themes. Ugh... I'm afraid I'm not interested...
Note: First nang'ek/pra'ek meeting is like a parody. Alek looks like he's seeing a ghost (should I withdraw my statement that he CAN act?:D) she looks like a nerdy kid, then she of course has to trip over the carpet to end up in his arms, looking so embarrassing, like they're doing sit-com. Then there's Deaw Suriyon in a "glamorous" suit, also calling himself mr. Reeves... I mean... Seriously. Do a comedy. Then the viewers would laugh about the same amount, but to your credit!

Guiones mediocres

i dont find it a good drama
The plot is really bad , ever since he changed a fell in love with the FL, the entire drama went downfall, i thought he was quite swag at first, but later he just became an idiot and such a simp, the acting is so far very good tho. The music is very suitable as they are very pleasant and kinda matches all the scenes, but the plot is just really bad. If you are a fan of a drama with a handsome ML and more of a male chase female drama, this might suite you but just keep in mind that sometimes it is really cringy and sometimes annoying but this is purely my personal opinion.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Love, Revenge and Redemption
This show revolves around Kang Ha and his journey into a school called Jooshin, which only the super-rich kids can afford. His goal in attending the school is to get revenge but along the way, he starts sympathizing with the rich kids who caused his sibling to die and forgets his original plan. The only thing I truly liked was the beautiful relationship between the female lead (Jae Yi) and the second male lead (Ri An). They are like each other's life and destruction at the same time. They love each other a lot, which I appreciated because, in most high school dramas like this involving super-rich kids, there are usually many cheating scandals and other dramas. However in this show, this couple focused only on loving and protecting each other. Jae Yi hides a big secret from Ri An, which eventually causes damage to her friends and she was insufferable throughout the whole series with her actions. I actually don't need a season two of this because I feel like the ending is satisfying in some way. When it comes to the plot, just like everyone said, it was so messy. It was all over the place in the middle but the ending kind of wrapped up nicely. The acting was fine but I liked Hera's character (2nd FL) more because she was such a 3D character. She honestly carried the show with her acting and the uniqueness of her character. I love how they portrayed her love for her dad ( which is rare for a rich mean girl). I would give this a 7.5 out of 10, but this show honestly has room for more improvement.

Shin Hye Sun looked gorgeous as Ju Eun Ho but Ju Hye Ri is the 180 opposite, she talks annoyingly, and acts like a total child/airhead
also from what i watched, her behavior towards 2ml was harassment, to kiss him when he doesn't even know her, or maybe she imagined it. i didn't stay long enough
i read the past trauma about the sister, and how 2ml is her sisters crush? but two eps in and no one really had any character layout, they barely showed the mls, or any reasoning for their behaviors, so i got bored and dropped
Shin Hye Sun always shows a "two personality" type of characters, and i do hate it when the focal character becomes the unnaturally young/naive type

It was meh for me. I would add this to my list of what I casually dropped.
I would add this to my list of what I casually dropped. Why ?***
Months before the series air, I was already excited and thrilled to watch from both the summary and the concept/trailers but when the episodes started being released, I didn't start watching it right away until there was enough episodes released to binge-watch instead of waiting to watch once a week.
So on this day, there are 9 episodes out of the 12 annoounced that are already out so I decided to watch it.
The first minutes were "interesting" (let's say the 5 first minutes) then they started to get into the plot what should be good right ? Well no, because first, the group of friends that from what I understood were supposed to know each other for some time now ( two years or plus) were just so awkward to each other, even side-eyeing some so I was like wtf. Then the acting and the way it was filmed felt really cheap. I'm sorry if I'm being ruthless but that's how I felt.
I would've loved to have the nerves to go further in this first episode and more generally, in the series but they didn't managed to got me hooked. I don't think I would even give it another chance later...
Just for those who want to know, I watched 17 minutes into the series.

It contains of epic graphics abd emotional ride
Excited ti see Xiao Zhan on screen again. The drama is beyond my expectation. The costumes, settings and the visuals are eyes pleasing. It make it easier to be completely drown in the drama. The emotional changes are relied perfectly by the characters. So excited for the next episodes. The story line is smooth and characters are on spot. So lucky to run into this group of actors and actresses. It is a story that revolves on the value of family, self trust, comradeship, truth and friendship. Every growth of the characters is impactful make me anticipates for more. The CG does look obvious but still eyes pleasing. It become a charm instead of a harm. It gives the drama more beautiful presentation.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Unpopular Opinion. Not for me.
I don't know if I’ve just watched far too many dramas, having been watching C/J/K-Dramas for half my life, that my taste have somewhat become fastidious in what I watch.Nothing new. How is it convincing that you find someone you're supposedly been longing for to meet again after so many years and not tell that person that you two have known each other in the past? And it's not like that "past” is anything to be ashamed off or should be a big deal to say, they were literally kids then FFS. I don't know about y'all, but isn't it normal that when a person meets someone the tendency is to find something in common between the two of you? May it be like, "Oh, you're X's XX's XXX's XXXx's neighbor. " or something of the sort. Even if it's just an effort at conversation. And for someone who is a doctor and a lawyer, these two have something lacking in their brains that make them illogical. Unrealistic is inevitable in dramas (because, hey, it isn’t a drama for anything) but can we not tolerate stupidity in scripts so these screenwriters.
Checked the drama info to lookup who wrote the drama to see if his/her other dramas are any good. What the eff. It has two screenwriters even. Two. Two heads that could have written a very good storyline that would substantiate and corroborate the synopsis/plot summary, but no. Further research came up with info that the drama was a “novel” adaptation. Hm.. It figures. But then again, there are a lot of marvellous movies and dramas that were adapted from books. Just.. good books. Books written by proper authors, not mangas written by amateurs.
Again, this is an unpopular opinion judging from the other reviews here who gave mostly 10’s. This is not me just going against the grain for the heck of it. This is for the others out there that couldn’t stomach such a story and characters portrayed as dimwits. Like, how could two professionals, a doctor and a lawyer, be so idiotic and undiscerning? Ok, love makes people stupid but.. how could a lawyer be such a poor judge of character? She couldn’t even tell if Wen Shao Qing is a scumbag and is just bullying her or it’s her that he loves. Why fall in love with a scumbag then? This Cong Rong character is one messed up character. I love me a smart, independent, strong, calm and sensible FLs, I hate dramas that have airheads and pushover FLs. But there’s a fine line between being strong willed and being imprudent and just plain stubborn and thoughtless. The Wen Shao Qing character isn’t without fault either. He is fickle and petty. Is the truth so hard to say? Couldn’t a distinguished professional be a little straightforward and mature? Nothing new. Highly unrealistic. Full of misunderstandings. Adding a lot of kissing and lovey-dovey scenes does not make up for a drama with no substance.
Oh, Dramaland.. why are you so full of push-and-pull, hot-and-cold, misunderstandings, lies, secrets, dishonesty and annoying characters? I get that a drama needs those for the story, but some dramas just go overboard. Some screenwriters think their drama should be a smorgasbord of conflicts and plot twists.
I pity these actors who kinda have no choice but to play these characters. Such a waste of their talents. In the end they end up taking in all the flack from viewers just because they accepted a job. They’re actors, they need to work.
I would only recommend this show to you if you're extremely bored, not picky, have nothing else to do or wanna vent and cuss at someone else (meaning: the annoying characters and scenes)
***Why do I find Daddi Tang more "manly" in Way back into Love than here? He looks different somehow here.

What a waste of hopes, time and efforts watching it
When two years ago the first trailer has been released, I had great expectation of the title. And then, passed weeks, months, seasons, years, and nothing but the first trailer. Which was excellent work, by the way.
For some time I had assumption that it was all. Well, so far, so good. There are many shorts that have hints for expansion, but remain there.
And then started to appear new trailers, and with each new one my hopes were sinking, like US warships in Pearl Harbor.
Finally, I have seen first episode. And I fully regret it. If only I have restrained myself onto first trailer.
After watching it, I cannot decide what was the cause. I guess that similar result would be if production has spent almost entire budget on renting exorbitantly expensive spaces for shooting and expensive cars to parade with, so the rest was more than discouraging for everyone involved: scriptwriters, directors, actors, ...
If there were scarecrow strawmen, at least I would know that I am expected to animate them mentally. But directors have employed living beings, unfortunately. It floods with wrong entry timings, script inconsistencies, poor cutting, poor acting most of the time, .... name it. Result looks as if everybody was doing forced labor in Nazi camps. Just because it has BL notion, it does not deserve this.
I have dropped watching it further.

20 minutes into the first episode is enough to conclude that this is a shitty drama
What a shitty show filled with sexist and misogynistic beliefs, there's a reason why it has 2.1 on Douban. The first scene introduced us to the 4 main leads who are all in their 30s dressing up as high school students being punished by their teacher that seriously looks younger than them. The teacher's dialogue was absolute bullshit, oh what you can't graduate if you don't get straight As? Then punishing the ML to run 10 laps in the rain? You would have been FIRED by now, who does that???
Here comes the first set of cringe, the rest of the guys joined in with the ML and they were making the stupidest faces being high out of their minds with BGM playing over them. Then comes the 2nd set of cringe with their dialogues especially the ending where they were like "We're gonna consummate together YEAAA".
NOBODY TALKS LIKE THIS
Then comes the 3rd set of cringe when they were leaving a helicopter wearing suits and sunglasses with BGM and different camera angles and shots to show just how charming all of them are. They were attending a wedding where they weren't even the groom. Who tf does that and how is that showing y'all are ordinary everyday people??? You don't see us folks entering a wedding with a freaking helicopter that probably cost a couple thousands.
Then the 4th set of cringe with the horrible dialogues during the after party. My favourite being Huang You Ming's line where he was having this conversation with a girl.
Him : Where are you from?
Her : I'm from Mexico, do you like to eat spicy food?
Him : Of course, what about you?
Her : I also really like spicy food
Him : No wonder your body is so spicy
Dude what the fuck
Then 5th set of cringe with disgustingness adding to it. It finally introduced us to the FL where she was entering her hotel room and the way her door did not get closed is literally the dumbest shit I've seen. Then ML walks in sleeping next to her, again with romantic BGM. Is it to show that this is somehow sweet and romantic? Then, they both wake up, analysed each other to then scream. Then when they were arguing and shit, they fell and KISSED WTF. I would be terrified if I was the FL, to have a literal stranger sleeping next to you. CALL THE POLICE, at least she did call security.
And how the ML was like "Oh you're a scammer" because the FL wanted compensation. Like dude, you were clearly in the wrong and being creepy, the FL was rightfully upset.
Then the 6th set of cringe. Again, showing just how charming and good looking they are, with BGM playing as they were walking in a straight line at the airport. ML could somehow eat his cup noodles in like an uber and he freaking spilled in in the car. If this was real life, he would have gotten screamed at but the taxi driver even comforted him about it. ????
And I saw other scenes where the FL fell and ML caught her BY HER BRA STRAPS. Could you not have put your arm on her back?? Why do you have to reach down and catch her bra strap?? And them with the whole Zheng Shuang as his first love thing is just funny.
Conclusion : don't watch this drama, it is not worth you time

It seemed interesting at first but....
I couldn't really finish watching the 3rd episode. The first two episodes were really interesting when I was watching them but the next day I started feeling weird because of it. I've watched darker stuff so it was definitely not because I couldn't handle it or anything. The reason remains a mystery.
Another factor that led me to drop this was that I expected the story to be different. I was expecting a consistent, horror+thriller+supernatural show. I had no idea that each episode had a different story and that they were not interconnected in any way; not that it's a bad thing. I once read a webtoon that had a similer theme in which different ghosts shared their stories and I absolutely loved it. But this one didn't really excite me...
Nevertheless, the actress who played Nanno has done an amazing job (if you ignore her loud laugh that is. It sounded too unnatural to me). And she was also one of the reasons I started watching this.
But well, at the end, it wasn't my cup of tea. I might change my mind to continue this some other time but not anytime soon.
PS: didn't really pay much attention to the music so gave it half rating~

Breathtakingly Lovely!
For some of us..when a new series comes online..the first thing we do is read the reviews, even when it is too early to know for sure, so this review is for those early birds like me. But here is my promise....I will be back throughout the series to update both the rating and the review. Pinky swear. ❤️So what makes this series a potential stand out? Well, for one thing...the two leads. We knew for a while that it was coming..and as I kept reading about it..I was drawn to the ML's body language as he talked and noticed the words he used to describe his relationship with the FL. He kept signaling their compatibility...and how easy they were together. In a teaser for the series..he said “My chemistry with Kim Hye Yoon was so good that it’s indescribable.” He went on to say, “I have complete faith in Kim Hye Yoon, who has a lot of romantic comedy experience. Thanks to her, I was able to act comfortably during filming. I think this will translate well on screen too. Especially in scenes where Sun Jae is emotionally moved by Sol, my heart genuinely fluttered as well.”
As I told my friend..this usually portends some very good things for a drama. The first two episodes are a case in point. They are gonna sizzle because in my view..they just naturally appeal to one another.
What I Love:
The Emotional Connection:
Chemistry among leads is almost an indescribable quality, but while we can't always define it ..we know when it is there and we def know when it is missing, lol. These two leads are connecting on all cylinders and that makes the allurement between them easily discernible. In every scene from the first episode ..both leads pulled at our hearts. As several of us said on the boards this morning..so many scenes had an emotional tug..that tears were never far away. It wasn't depressing ..but rather it moved us and because the emotions were so legit, we felt immediately plugged into the drama.
Kim Hye Yoon:
She is fantastic at emotive acting so this series is def in her wheelhouse. She portrays a woman who suffers a life altering event that all but ended her, until one strangers voice changed her life's trajectory. She is grateful and remains stunningly cheerful despite the many obstacles she faces. Her courage appeals to those of us who have been there...with struggles that required a herculean effort to overcome. Her heart is so softened in sympathy...that when she sees he is a fellow sufferer, her desire to comfort him and give him back the peace he has lost is overwhelming. So watching her work sweet magic on his wounded heart is gonna be so lovely.
Byeon (Byun) Woo Seok :
This guy it goes without saying is dreamy...but there is so much more to him than that. He deserves this role not because he is a star but because he is truly talented. Like KHY he emotes so well that we feel his response without words. I love that about him, his face is so expressive.. When he held the umbrella (mostly over her) getting very rained on and simply stared at her for long moments....his concern and empathy were etched on his face. We felt his emotions as we watched him allow her to hug him for long moments in what was an embarrassing encounter. Most ppl would've pushed her away..but because he felt her distress..he reacted slowly. So he is effortlessly using body language..and a magnetic style of acting which should prove a fascinating watch.
Clues and Connections:
Fun clues that connect the past to the present. Watch for them...you will love them.
Umbrellas, black, blue, yellow. Weather, Eclipses, Rain, Snow.
White candies. Rented Video. Running. A pair of Watches.
Special Moments:
There are so many of these...it is hard to pick a favorite. One in particular that I loved was towards the end of the second episode...while walking directly in front of him, she says " he refused my friend request and he is getting farther away from me all the time...he doesn't seem to want to get close to me" and all the while, he is smiling and zipping backpack up from 2 inches away. So ...many adorable and memorable scenes. I have a feeling there will be many more.
I will stop there as it is early yet (I know) but so far..this is a total recommend. Stop whatever you are doing and run to watch Lovely Runner. I am lovin' it! I dare you to try one episode..you will be hooked!
@4 Update: Outside of a few cut aways in key moments where they didn't later continue where they left off and a few comedic scenes that were extraneous..this series has delivered.
Time travel romances are nothing new...but watching this one is a bit tantalizing as the writers are good at not letting us see around the next bend. They def know how to build anticipation. The sizzle I had hoped for is there, in fact, for a young love story...it is pretty adult in substance. They look as though they were made for each other and the feels are all there.
There is only one problem at this point and that is waiting for Monday and Tuesday. If you enjoy binging a series..this one might be a good choice as you could keep all the details fresh in your mind. For now, none of us can wait...take a look at all the angsty board.
This is fun...join us.
Happy Watching!

I liked the acting of of WWX and some other characters.
It was incomprehensible to me how a brilliant free spirit like WWX suddenly joined the immature brother's, in my opinion, simplistic and illogical narrative that he was ultimately responsible for pretty much everything that went wrong. When a story/character becomes too unbelievable that you can no longer identify with it, it becomes boring.

Ray Lui
Ray Lui is in it but not named on cast list. He was the original main character in the first Flying fox of snowy mountain. It’s worth mention that he’s in this drama series. I’m not sure what character he is playing with last name Ma. This series makes me want to rewatch the 1985 Flying fox of snowy mountain. I used to love the theme song in that one. I’m watching this drama because of Lin Shen. He is so hot!! Can’t wait to see Peter Ho show up. Hopeful it’ll be a good story.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Dated with poor storytelling
The third time's the charm they say, however, no matter how hard I tried I still couldn't get beyond ep 12 of 51. For one, the story is beyond farcical. Secondly, the titular character, who should have been at most in her early 20s, was played by 34-year-old Ha Ji Won whose face looked even older than her real age. I'm sorry but IMO she was absolutely the worst-looking Korean actress I've seen in a historical drama. Not only did I keep getting distracted by her thinning hair but also by her boxy body shape. The main male actors, Ji Chang Wook and Joo Jin Mo, were 25 and 38 yrs old IRL respectively but they looked much older because the styling department gave them the worst possible hair and wardrobe styling.
Then the scriptwriters decided that one-dimensional characters and plot were good enough; depth and nuance be damned.
I kept wondering why I would care about any of our three main leads. One was a cowardly puppet Emperor, the other was a deposed King who I couldn't sympathize with and of course, there's Empress Ki who they both "loved". All very unlikeable characters. I didn't care and once the first cardinal rule of character building is lost, what else is there?
Lastly, this came out in 2013 which means it was filmed between 2011 and 2012 and perhaps the novelty of having such a palace drama made it popular then because recent historical dramas have better storytelling, tighter plots, better casting, and clearer more dynamic cinematography.
