Boring as hell
I went in with low expectations and they even managed to disappoint me.The premise was really good, they had something really good as an idea but the execution was poor.
The Battles (if you can even call them that) were without real action, I could not even relate/cheer for one team. This was missing energy, and one expects a show like this to have teams put up a fight but they couldn't even fight.
I'm all for women positivity, equality but man.... give me "Something", keep me entertained, I want to CARE and I want to cheer and most of all be entertained... I wasn't.
At the end, it turned out to be too simplistic, illogical alliances and it's 5 hours of watching this show I can never get back.

Not for me
I am dropping this show after watching just 4 episodes because I gave this a go as my friend really likes the ml but tbh I just couldn’t get into the show! Shows with idols usually aren’t my favourite anyways, but my friend really likes this idol I decided to be as unbiased as possible when watching it. However for me the age gap is off putting to me and the actors lacked any real chemistry (which in my opinion has less to do with their obvious age gap and more the performance from both actors)! The music was ok, and the cinematography is really nice it’s just the acting and story that isn’t really to my taste, however I can see people who like the ml liking it for him.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Soooo young!
Another FL disguised as a male, those stories are among my favorites but this one is questionable in my eyes as the FL looks so young, she seriously looks like a 12 year old. The funny thing is as a female she looks a bit older...like 15 or 16 even. Not sure if she pulls off passing for a guy as she has very feminine features (she's really cute in a chubby cheeked way). The big issue is only 7 minutes?!? I've seen some dramas with 10, 12 and 15 minute episodes but 7 minutes...you just get into it and it's over! I will give it a go as it think it has potential and I really want to see if the FL is convincing as time goes by. She so far is nowhere near as convincing as the FL/ML in Coffee Prince, I had to remind myself she was in fact a female. So far I'm rating it as a 7 1/2.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

I want to watch this...why?
After 2 episodes with fast-forwarding, I don't get the hook to keep me watching. It feels more like a commentary on the serving the obsessiveness for kids to test well to get into college from the Cram School's perspective vs. students/parents--which of course Sky Castle and Penthouse series have made famous. And there have been several dramas lately featuring 'famous' afterschool teachers who find love--Crazy Love, Crash Course In Romance--so if you like the apparent 'slice of life in Korea' regarding the maniac focus on grades and college entrance with a romance thrown in, keep watching.I thought a far more compelling school based drama was 2019's Black Dog about the hurdles of an aspiring teacher to get a permanent job in the school system.

Now the cast is great, but right off to the start, we have Luo Yunxi’s character who loves to play video games and I have absolutely no idea what Cheng Xian’s character is doing. Like I would like a good background explanation, but this might just be me being very biased, since the beginning of the show didn’t interest me and seemed confusing and about businesses and corporations.

Dumb cliché tropey mess
This review is only for the first 4 episodes because I couldn't handle more. For the life of me I don't understand all of the positive reviews. This is a not a terribly old show being released in 2013, but it looks like it was made in the 90s. I felt like I was watching Xena the Warrior Princess because the show was filled with so many cliche tropes and looked outdated.
Moreover, the gender bender trope is utterly suspect. Two grown man are having a crush on a boy, who is actually a girl, but think that she is a boy, all the while trying to convince themselves they are not gay after having erotic dreams about the "boy". Then, they actively compete with each other in a jealous rage for the "boy". The whole "I'm not gay" thing would've been more convincing if they secretly knew that the "boy" was a girl. Please, lets burn the gender bender trope with fire.

And to think that some of these are the same people who were complaining about Ming in My Stand-In, who in the drama, never raped Joe.
How can you equate him tying up Joe with rape...
I can't believe people are supporting a drama in 2024 that romanticizes rape...

There IS an attractive guy in this, but of course, only as support. Nat Devahastin does not fear steamy scenes:) Unfortunatelly, Mr. Hotness is not there for the main romance line, only serves as antagonist. Oh, sigh.
There is also investigative line of a crime occuring in nang'ek's dad's cloth factory. And I did not care for it. Because I honestly did not care for the main couple portrayed by Push & Esther. But, had they at least put together Nat Devahastin & Gypsy Keerati as a hot second couple, then I would have kept watching, even if more or less ignoring the main couple, lol. But, both Nat Devahastin & Gypsy Keerati's characters were way more invested in being jealous/plot against the main two, than to have their own life. So I didn't find it worth watching.

Painful
I just cant get on with Taiwanese dramas. And this one encompasses all i hate about them.Bad acting that cannot touch the depth of emotion needed for the story line. A storyline that has such bad writing the actors didn't have a chance. No chemistry between the leads. And don't get me started about the hairstyles.
Everything is cringey and awkward. The characters aren't likeable nor convincing in their roles. Very disappointing that what could have been a strong female lead was needing to be saved all the time. The male lead was not just rude but uses the girls desperate situation against her and can't see he is being abusive yet gets mad when someone else is towards her. Not a true male lead.
Dropped it after 3 episodes.
I tried, but there are so many better dramas out there.

In Between (Sa Pagitan ng Kamusta at Paalam)

Intriguing.
In Between is a Pinoy BL miniseries with 5 episodes. As of writing I've seen 2 episodes. It was promising and intriguing. As a Filipino myself, I am very glad with the sprouting of BL industry. It's a high time to showcase the Philippine take on the said subgenre or anything of that sort. We've seen The Gameboys series and Hello Strangers as BL series with virtual setting and it's a breathe of fresh air to encounter this series--with new faces of course.
Let's start with storyline. So the story revolves around Tau and Otep who are ex-lovers and was reunited because of a birthday party with one of their barkada (friend). The storyline is focused on what's in between their first meeting and their good bye as a lovers (basically what the title is saying) but we can see the story revolves after their breakup and idk what will happen next.
The first sequence was cringey and off. The acting looks like shot in one take, maybe because they're neophytes in acting world? Idk. But that particular scene is the most important since it draws us to the whole point of the series, I'm just sad that wasn't executed well. However, as the scenes progresses, I find myself laughing and giggling their interaction with the whole gang.
Being a Pinoy, that's how barkadas act towards each other. However, it drags the whole storyline. Like this series have 5 episodes so some scenes were unnecessary.
What I like about this series is the title sequence. Idk, I'm impressed with the wittiness of their creative/editing team. It's a cute concept.
So the question I have right now, what happened between the hello and good bye? I'm dying to know.
