Decepcionante!

Something new
The plot of the story is refreshing. It’s something new. There are 2 sets of storyline to follow. The daughter and the family. While the daughter storyline is a bit cliche, the parents/family stroline is not. I enjoy the part of the story where they father relayed the story of how he got his money. While it might not be possible in real life, it sure is enjoyable to watch in the show. The mystery part of the drama was also enjoyable. The way they tried to include drama, romance and mystery in this whole drama is enjoyable.

Love song in winter can be considered a great modern cdrama that came out this year. It has a mix of both romance and mystery which tbh is nicely executed. The story in my opinion has good pacing. No character seemed irrevelant in the drama. You know when there are just random side couples. Let's discuss the character's of Love Song in Winter.Lu Yan is an anesthesiologist and Jiang Chengyi is a detective. They both reunite 8 years after their breakup. I found their relationship mature. They did have communication problems but still in later episodes they talked through it. They really went through too much. Lu Yan felt guilty for so many years for thinking she pushed her best friend to death while JC was hurt from their sudden breakup. Lu Yan is courageous for going through the death of her close friends 2 times, having to stay away from your loved one. You could say even if the circumstances were not peaceful, their relationship was; once they got together again.
Wen Peng was suspicious from the start. Many secrets about him was unexpected though. Him being beaten by his dad and thinking his mom abandoned him turned him to the worst. THE ABUSED BECOMES THE NEXT ABUSER. This quote came to my mind watching him. He could have taken a different path when he turned adult but him killing Deng Man, Ding Jing, trying to hurt close people around Lu Yan is not forgivable. He hated his mother even when she tried to reconcile but could never stand up to his father. Lu Yan showed up when he was about to end his life and he held onto her. He did not love Lu Yan he wanted someone to love him. He was a manipulator who destroyed too many lives.
Deng Man was very naive. Believing Wen Peng and shooting a video which basically solidified her suicide. She mistaked Zou Zhi Cheng's goodwill towards her to be intimate affection. ZC did not intend to do so at first but he did cheat on his paralysed wife with DM. He says he is a human being and he indulged himself just once but that does not justify his cheating. He stood by watching DM being bullied when he could have come forward and stopped it. He was the adult. He should not have such a relationship with a student. Deng Man did not reveal their relationship till the end but that lead to Lu Yan thinking she killed herself because of her. She may not have deserved her death but she was an accomplice in harrassing Lu Yan.
Ding Jing is another character who could not accept rejection. To get Jiang Chengyi she bullied DM into breaking them up. Again, she did not want DM to get killed but her maliciousness towards Lu Yan surfaced later. Her hiring pervert to take pictures of LY and saying that persong could do whatever he want with her. This made me hate her to the core. There was no excuse for this.
What I liked about this drama was that every criminal was punished in the end by law. And they did not push the climax till the last episode. There was proper closure. It may have been boring to many viewers however I liked the drama's setting.

Of Princes, Rogues, and the Perils of Loving Too Boldly
Upon immersing myself in Love Song for Illusion, I must confess that I was utterly bewitched—not merely by its story, which so artfully balances romance, fantasy, and intrigue, but by the singular talent of Park Jihoon. I am rarely one to wax lyrical about an actor, but Jihoon’s performance as both Crown Prince Sajo Hyun and his alter ego, Akhee, was nothing short of spellbinding. His ability to embody two starkly different characters, each with their own intricacies and motivations, is a feat that deserves the highest commendation. Akhee, in particular, stole my heart entirely, and I dare say it would take quite the endeavour to wrest it back from his grasp. There is a brilliance to Jihoon’s portrayal of Akhee—a rogue with a fierce, untamed heart, yet brimming with tenderness in moments that catch you off guard. His longing, his vulnerability, his moments of quiet pain—all conveyed with such finesse, it felt as though I were peering directly into his soul. It is a rare and wondrous thing when a character feels so alive, so achingly real, that one cannot help but root for him with every fibre of their being. Jihoon’s Akhee embodies that rare quality, and it is he who makes this drama a triumph for me.
And yet, for all the light Akhee and Hyun bring, there were clouds—chiefly, in the form of the female lead. While I am loath to be overly critical, her portrayal left me feeling somewhat detached. I dare say it was not a matter of disliking her character, but rather the way in which she lacked a certain... spark, shall we say. There were moments where her chemistry with Jihoon’s characters felt a touch forced, her expressions lacking the depth one might hope for in such a passionate tale. It is not that she did not try—indeed, her effort was evident—but when standing opposite Jihoon, whose performances blazed with such intensity, her shortcomings became all the more apparent.
Even so, the narrative itself is one to applaud. Adapted from the webtoon, the story weaves together elements of fantasy and romance with remarkable dexterity. The way it explores themes of love—its power to heal, its capacity to destroy, its ability to transcend the boundaries of time and place—is nothing short of poetic. The duality of Jihoon’s characters, juxtaposing Hyun’s regal restraint with Akhee’s raw, untethered emotions, lends the drama an added layer of complexity that keeps one riveted throughout.
The production value, too, deserves its due. The cinematography, with its rich, dreamlike quality, suits the fantastical tone of the story perfectly. Each scene feels carefully crafted to draw you deeper into its world, and the music—oh, the music! It underscores every moment so exquisitely, tugging at your heartstrings at just the right time.
And let us not forget Park Jihoon’s physical presence in the role. “Gorgeous” is a word oft overused, but in this case, it is entirely apt. Whether dressed in princely robes or Akhee’s more unadorned attire, Jihoon commands the screen with a magnetism that is impossible to ignore. He does not simply play these roles; he becomes them, and it is this transformation that elevates the drama to something extraordinary.
However, there is, perhaps, no cruelty greater than that of watching a spirit so full of life, so eager to seize each fleeting moment, be swept away as if his very existence were of no consequence. In the world that unfolds before us, Akhee stands as a figure most impossible to forget—his heart brimming with the rawness of youth, his desires unrefined but true. With courage that could rival the boldest, he presses on in a world that would sooner see him disappear, and yet his very strength is the very thing that condemns him.
It is no small tragedy to see one such as he, who, despite his faults, sought nothing more than to love and live, meet with such a fate. For though his heart was torn between devotion and despair, his spirit was anything but weak. He carried with him a fierce desire to embrace life, not simply endure it. In this, he was unmatched by those around him—his passion, his vivacity, unmatched by the reserved and composed, the ones who hid behind duty rather than chase the freedom of a heart unbound.
In the end, when all was said and done, Akhee became nothing more than a memory, a whisper of a life lived in the shadows of others’ fears. It is a cruel irony, is it not, that those who demand the most from life often find themselves with the least? The ones who risk, who love without reservation, are so often the ones left broken, while those who retreat into the safety of inaction remain unscathed. What a mournful thing to watch such a soul be diminished to nothingness, as if his very existence had been nothing more than a fleeting illusion, one too delicate for the harsh realities of the world to tolerate.

Gostei do rumo do personagem dele.

General review
This is the 1st time I'm doing a review, hopefully it's good enough for a brief review without spoilers!Overall, the cast was perfect as they had very good chemistry with each other & it was nice seeing most of the cast back here from season 1! The story was overall interesting with some predictable parts, but season 1 was still better in terms of storyline. The comedic parts were mostly natural, and the cast really did a good job at making the comedic scenes natural. Hoping for another season based on the ending in the last episode!

Death's Game: Where Style Outplays Substance
"Death's Game" is a visually stunning K-drama that draws viewers in with its high production value and creative cinematography. The introduction is refreshingly concise, setting the stage without unnecessary exposition. The use of inventive camera angles, particularly the POV shots, adds a unique and engaging dimension to the viewing experience. These technical elements, combined with a parade of impressive guest appearances, make the show a feast for the eyes. While the production shines, the writing and storytelling fall into more conventional territory. The narrative is serviceable—neither groundbreaking nor particularly deep. It has its share of plot holes and moments that defy logic, but these flaws don’t detract too much from the overall experience. If anything, the show’s charm lies in its ability to keep things entertaining despite its narrative shortcomings.
The first part of the series stands out as stronger in terms of writing, setting a solid foundation before the second half loses some of its momentum. Even so, the show never stops being enjoyable. "Death's Game" leans heavily on its aesthetic appeal and star-studded cameos to keep audiences hooked, and it succeeds in that regard.
In the end, "Death's Game" isn’t a masterpiece of storytelling, but it’s undeniably fun to watch. If you’re looking for an eye-candy drama with creative visuals and an engaging cast, this one is worth a try. Just don’t expect it to redefine the genre.

Expected nothing. Got everything and a 5 months ongoing addiction
Ok so where do I start? By my introduction to this amazing bl journey.I was bored and wanted to watch a romance show with real actors (since I only read straight romance or bl in manwha) and decided to give a try to the Thai industry since I heard they produced quite a lot. I searched for « the best ones » and KP kept getting mentionned with a few others but its title really intrigued me because it looked weird…what a surprise!
I really wasn’t expecting a lot from Kinnporsche, I only watched 1 Thai drama before and it was a thriller not a romance. I also heard people talking about how a lot of bl actors were homophobic in real life, how most kiss scenes were awkward because the actors were straight and couldn’t portray gay relationships, the low budget etc…KP was the opposite of all those single statement (if we exclude Build). The action scenes were so well done, the cast was so fresh and good, the story kept me in til the end, amazing chemestry between everyone, it was a wonderful experience.
**The story**
I know a lot of people hated it and it feels like most criticism toward KP are targeting the plot but I enjoyed it.
We have Porsche, a 23 years old bartender who needs money to provides his brother’s needs and sacrificed his whole life in a way for that. We also have Kinn, second son of a boss mafia and the heir, who does…mafia stuff for now. They meet and this is the start of a longer journey where Porsche become Kinn’s bodyguard. Porsche learns about the mafia world and about the guy he had no idea he could ever be interested in Kinn. Their feelings toward each other change through the time but they are in their work setting, both with insecurities who’s top them from communicating and lead to very bad situations, that they eventually overcome (also there’s this side couple KimChay). I’ll say ep 1 to 8 are about the build up of the relationship between Kinn and Porsche, where we get to understand their dynamics. They feel physical, sexual and emotional attraction toward each other and the story through so episodes makes us understand how this work between them: they fight, they make peace, they love each others, they get jealous, they lie etc…basically a whole preview to whether or not we’re going to handle those 2 (those who didn’t should have stopped by now tbh, why punishing yourself with 6 more episodes that will show you the exact same dynamic that has been established since the first eps?). Then episodes 9 to 14 are more about inner conflict in the mafia environment, with the minor family, with family dramas in general, and Im sick of people pretending mafia family drama isn’t realistic bc this is basically what they are in real life? With all the power conflicts and betrayals.
Although Im a huge KinnPorsche Stan, I might say that I enjoy the other 2 couples for representation aspects. I liked that those who liked mature nuanced storyline could settle with Kinnporsche like me, those who liked more fluffy love stories could have KimChay (also their break up was amazing, made me realize I barely see couples breaking up in fiction, but that’s just me) and those who liked more « BDSM »(i don’t but I understand that it’s fiction and people have different taste) could have VegasPete, also their emotional chemestry delivered so well I was lowkey rooting for them as well (ew).
Kinnporsche was a mix between action, comedy and romance and it totally worked for me, expecially since Im not going to be a hypocrit, I came for the romance and I was indeed served, couldn’t care less that we had too much romance and not enough action like some might say, it’s exactly why I came here.
Also almost forgot to mention but the sex scenes?? Never in my life did I think I would look at those scenes with such respect and enjoyment for the action and what it tells about the characters. Each were so wonderfully done and tell a story, those were not just regular scenes that were there to show that the plot was mature content, it genuinely belonged here and Im so here for stories like that! They were a part of the story so this brings the rate even higher.
**Acting/Casting**
Litteraly nothing to say expect that they were perfect?? I shouldn’t have started with KP only because the actors really gave life to their character, you see that they put themselves into them, which leads to saucy authentic characters. Apo is my fav example for this but like a lot of people, I loved his mannerism in the first episodes, like it felt like they asked him to act frustrated and he played it the way he would actually behave if he was, I don’t know if that makes sence, something about Porsche’s reactions, body language felt so unique to him personally, I loved that. Same thing for drunk Porsche, I again don’t know how to explain it but there was something about the way he played his drunk character that felt so unique to him only, not just like we asked him to play an average « drunk person » but those are just my observations. This apply to other characters as well but I really noticed it a lot with Apo.
The characters chemistry, whether it was romantic or plactonic felt so real, Porsche and Porsche? amazing. Arm and Pol? Wonderful. Porsche and Pete? Again beautiful chemistry and let’s not talk about the romantic ones, the weakest part for me was KimChay but based on the Bl I watched after KP, I’ll say even them were quite good. This chemistry is even better to appreciate when you see BTS or just actors real life and understand that they had a good relationship outside or the filming process, they look like actual friends and gave such a light vibe with makes the show even more enjoyable to me. Everyone was casted on point and since my only Asian drama with « young adults » were mostly from Korea, I liked the diversity of each actor, like they were all pretty, not in the way Asian medias would promote attractiveness but they were still so visually pleasing (Im not saying that they are ugly but they are very different from what first come to my Western mind when I think of Asian celebrities).
So casting is a 10/10, the only bad part of it was Build but Im not putting down the others bc of him.
**Music**
Not matter the medias, I usually don’t care about music in movies/series/animes. Most of time I feel like they fit with the scene and I don’t really care about them, I only notice them when they are either really bad or really good. This happened with KP. EP 4 choice of music may have sound problematic to many but I loved that piano version of Free Fall, it was so amazing and still on my work playlist til this day. More generally, all the musics were so cool and fun, the goofy mafia vibe one, the more intense ones I enjoyed them all, and the OST were wonderful as well. Jeff Satur on top he really delivered.
10/10 for memorable and beautiful music
KP is totally rewatchable, expecially since for me I was divide it in arcs, if I want to see a angsty relationship I’ll go watch certain episodes, if I want action I got watch others, If I want cute moment then I watch ep X etc…Since no other Bl I watched match this kind of variability, KPn remain the only one I can rewatch If I want those specific moments
Since I also get that it wasn’t perfect, I will do a pro/cons list but the cons are from opinions I heard actually not from me since I had no issue with KP at all:
**Pro**
- Amazing acting
- Cool and refreshing atmosphere, Im someone who likes shows based on vibes and I really enjoyed KP one, it was very lively with assumed problematic stuff from every characters.
- The morally grey aspect, I never went on KP expecting a moral lesson, they do things I would never do or forgive in real life but here they do, they don’t have therapists, only them and their feelings and I don’t see why we want them to behave like premium humans who makes no mistake.
Also I like how technically even the least problematic one out of all the character technically is problematic? Why would you work in mafia in the first place? If you are poor there are other jobs that don’t require you to sacrify your morals. even Porsche could have left I think, that’s what Kinn asks him in the hospital but he still stayed (I know that since Kuhn wanted him to stay it probably wouldn’t have happened but still, he had the illusion of a choice and still chose to stay for love). Chay may be the only clean one the others are all sus Im just saying.
- Cinematography, I don’t watch enough movies but action shows or movies like The Batman or The 100 or GOT always keep my attention, I just love beautiful shots even though I know nothing about cinema
- The relationships chemistry again
- PORSCHE, a lot of my fav characters have the same vibe as him but what I like about them ENFJ characters is that they always manage to look unique from each other in fiction even while having the same kind of characters, so Porsche is another iconic one.
**Cons**
- I forgot about al my morals during this show as even if i found an action terrible, I understood that they live in a world where no one is going to tell them so and I want to invest myself in a show so I don’t need it to try to talk to the audience directly to tell me « yeah it’s bad », if it’s bad it’s mostly because the characters feel it is in fiction cases before « because I think it is bad » but I get that SA is a trigger topic and sensitive subject. I never experienced it and Im absolutely disgusted by it and I can understand why people couldn’t enjoy KP for that (usually I wouldn’t have enjoyed a show for that myself but KP magic ig?).
- Lack of character’s depth. Honestly I don’t care, I really got all the informations I needed about each and some of the complains seems to add nothing to the story (ex why Ken betrayed major family? I think the actor made a cute fanfic during one of his video explaining why but it’s so obvious that it could be for money or whatever? As I was saying earlier betrayal is a common thing in mafia world). Maybe some people need to be able to justify each character’s action by each storyline the show gave us but I liked the freedom, you know a few things about a character and then he behaves like he wants and surprise you, nothing wrong with that but I get it
- The plot, I think the issue most people have is that it wasn’t linear, I actually had fun when they were revealing all the drama and was like « omg » (biggest one for me was when Porsche learned that the reason he came to the mafia in the first place was linked with Kinn’s actions I was so choked) but I get that having a stronger storyline to follow from ep 1 to ep 14 would have been more entertaining to some. And maybe the family drama wasn’t so enjoyable, I didn’t necessary like it but I didn’t hate it, I just followed the show.
- The author and actors polemic, has nothing to do with the show but kinda sad how BOC had all the drama right after their success, but thanks for their service again.
This show was objectively not perfect but for me it was perfectly un perfect. Tbh it’s flaws made it even more enjoyable I don’t know how to explain, someone might point a mistake or something the show forgot and I will just think about the Game of Throne producers line « he kind of forgot ». It was such an funny show to watch and I don’t think a lot left me with this feeling.

Ignore the comments of Haters and see this drama!
For everyone considering if they should watch this drama, please go for it! The first ten episodes are solid episodes and are totally worth your time. It's a pity the writers gave us a weak ass last episode but you see the first ten episodes? chef's kiss. It's also a pity that politics has messed up the ratings of this drama which was originally 8.9/10. But I assure you that the drama is worth every minute of your time! Ignore the bad comments from haters. They're just frustrated humans from unhappy homes who are jealous of the drama's success.

Terrible Writing and the Worst Subtitles I Think I've Ever Seen
**This is just my opinion. I truly appreciate the hard work and dedication that went into the making of this drama. Thank you.**I feel bad writing this. I really do. I know that a lot of people worked very hard on this drama. For that and to them, I sincerely apologize. Having said that, the writing is really bad and the subtitles are the worst I've seen out of the 160 plus dramas that I've watched. I made it through episode 13 and stopped. I didn't want to waste any more of my time on it.
Despite that, I did like both of the lead actors and the characters they were playing. They did the best that they could with what they had to work with. I'm not saying that the characters were good. I just liked certain qualities about them. The fight scenes looked silly, with characters flying like spinning tops. The romantic scenes were just as bad. Oh and the biting. What on Earth was that? Not the sexy kind. It was just so weird. I was watching just to find out what the deal was but decided I just didn't care enough. I'm sure it has something to do with the initial scene and contaminated blood but still.
I only noticed one song but it sounded pretty. I couldn't say about the rest of the ost.
