slow burn but worth the time
I'm really into thrillers and suspense, so this was obviously on my watchlist. At first, it seemed like another scary drama with a cliché story, so I thought I was wasting my time. However, once you get to Episode 2, you'll slowly realize it's worth your time. As someone who works in the medical field, I empathized with many of the characters, and the screenwriter did a good job of portraying the likelihood of what happens to patients in a coma. There were just some confusing and questionable scenes but overall, it was a refreshing plot.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

ThamePo best series
Definitely one of the best series I’ve watched. The cast and cinematography the plot, everything was perfect. To think this was William’s debut series and Est first time in a lead role, the chemistry and acting was out of the world. Literally a no skip series, every minute of it is crucial. Nut, Hong, Tui and Lego, did exceptionally well as well, they really brought their characters to life. Well done to the full cast, I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds. You got me squeezing my pillow and kicking my feet every Friday night! 😍Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Simply show of the year
The story, the acting, the production, the cinematography, lykn, williamest's chemistry, everything about this show is a perfect 10/10 and i really hope that despite the lack of promotion from GMMTV this show will be able to be successful and seen by many because, trust me, it really is worth the watch.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Starlit? More like gaslit.
The show started quite promising. It is a Chinese-Korean talent search basically with quite a big pool of talented trainees (and some not-so talented ones thrown in the mix) from various countries. The issues started early in the first episode which only worsened in the second nor did it get better in the episodes that followed. There are great moments like epic performances or when coaches would interact and provide guidance/help. However there was not enough to redeem the show. Unlike most survival shows that aired before 2024 the Starlight Boys voting process requires you to essentially buy in order to vote. There are tiers of how many times you can "light up" your favorites and this is based on your active subscriptions. There are other options all of which requiring a purchase. Thus you can say fans bought spots for every single one of the debuting members of Polarix. In terms of talent, if this is not the only survival show you have seen through, there is quite a disparity in skills among the members which in my opinion should be one of the initial concerns for their management. This can be the team's primary challenge yet one cannot discount the fan's displeasure for the resulting lineup that could be the straw that will break the camel's back. Hopefully their management will take these hardships and turn them into a positive driving force for Polarix.
I don't know and cannot fathom who Starlight Boys was created for. The show was derailed and its premise lost quickly. I love music and K-pop. I survival shows for the teaching moments, funny interactions, and trainee camaraderie. I respect hard work and ambition. But I found myself dropping this show. However, to be fair and in order to write this review, I watched every single episode, highlight, etc.
Starlight Boys was a SHOW. It really was down to its core. It threw around beautiful words like Polaris and Guider but its significance and meaning was lost as early as the first episode. As I write this, the world has kindly rated the show a 6.6.

An okay-ish highschool drama
I watched it 'cause I love Moon Ga Young but I think she suits more mature/villainous type of roles like in the Tempted, I find her character cringey here. Seo Joon is my fave one as he's shown the most emotion in the series. Cha Eun Woo's character is similar to his role in Gangnam Beauty, I think he needs to choose dramas that would hone his acting skills. I hate how they turned her friend into a villain for a boy, she's one of my fave characters too. It's not good, not bad overall so I'm giving it a 7.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

So far my best series watched
It's a really heartwarming and wholesome series. The actors really portrayed the characters well. The storyline was flowing without any bugs and also made sense. The casting were really good too! Having the determination to find a real boy group LYKN to join the series is something to praise for. Good job William, Est, LYKN and the other crew members! Can't wait for the next 9 episodes to be aired.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Our Youth: A Symphony of Love and Transformation
Every now and then, a series comes along that doesn’t just entertain but leaves an indelible mark on your heart. This series is one of those rare gems. From its heartfelt storytelling to its impeccable adaptation, it’s a triumph in every sense—a radiant 10/10.The narrative is beautifully crafted, weaving themes of love, growth, and self-discovery into a tapestry that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable. The characters are wonderfully complex, and their relationships—messy, tender, and profound—are brought to life with such authenticity that they leap off the screen and settle into your soul.
What sets this series apart is its warmth. There’s an emotional honesty here that’s hard to come by, a kind of raw yet tender intimacy that wraps around you like a soft blanket on a cold day. It’s not just the romance that shines, but the entire emotional spectrum—from joy to heartbreak, from longing to fulfillment. The series understands that life and love are never simple, and it embraces the imperfections with open arms.
The acting is simply outstanding. Each performance feels effortless, yet brimming with nuance. The chemistry between the leads is electric, their stolen glances and fleeting touches saying more than words ever could. This is acting at its finest, where even silence speaks volumes.
While other countries often hold back due to cultural conservatism, this adaptation feels fearless. Japan's ability to stay true to the source material without diluting its depth is a testament to their storytelling prowess. It’s a rare gift to see a series so unapologetically embrace the beauty of love in all its forms, breaking barriers while staying rooted in authenticity.
For those who have experienced Love in the Big City, this series will strike a similar chord. It has that same magical essence, that same ability to leave you breathless despite its occasional imperfections. But where Love in the Big City warmed hearts, this one ignites them, sending butterflies racing through your stomach as it takes you on a journey you won’t soon forget.
This isn’t just another BL drama; it’s a celebration of love, life, and the courage it takes to be vulnerable. It has firmly placed itself in my top 5 of all time, and honestly? It deserves to be in yours, too. An unforgettable masterpiece that will linger long after the credits roll.

DO NOT WATCH THIS YOU ARE WASTING YOUR BRAIN SPACE
ok so I have lot of complains with this drama i am not going to list all of Wussies but ill list the thing that pissed me of the most. Why the f did the FL change like seriously at the start she was so headstrong she even thrw her heel at "world famous star" where the hell did she go??? Like seriously as the drama progressed the more we saw characters just walk all over the FL it just made me so damn irritated like the company used her as a dog, than she goes to film for the reality tv doesnt get treated with any respect, she is litreally edited out to be the villian in the realith tv, and then that JJ bitch also had a secne where he walked all over the ML and the FL. And my main problem why didnt the FL do shit why did she just sit there taking all this shit its not realistic in any way.Like seriously dramas like these make me so irritated the create a bunch of very irritating scenarios and address all of them at the end and fill a bunch of romance in the between like bruh i litreally cant enjoy the romance when i know that the FL is boderline homeless, has no job, is hated by her nation and the ML is dog dragged by the CEO of his idol company. So yeah i would say i mainly had problems with the story it made me very very irritated and just made me mkre angry instead of making me feel fluffy and calm. So yeah definitely do not reccommed watching this trash.

Feel good, light-hearted watch
I'm giving it an 8.5 rating overall simply because I felt happy watching this drama. I initially watched this 'cause I loved Hye Yoon's duality from Sky Castle and Extraordinary You. I've already watched tons of time travel themed series and I still loved this one. I'm not really into romcoms (I prefer thriller, mystery, crime, etc.) but I watch them after heavy dramas to balance my emotion. Some shows are meant to be enjoyed and not overanalyzed, it's just a fantasy after all so there will be plot holes.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
The best healing rom-com and K-drama in the last 10 years. Highly recommend.
This is the most worth watching and rewatching drama among the K-drama romantic comedies about healing and relationships in the last decade, reflecting real-life issues such as unemployment, jobs, dreams, ambitions, adult love, child love, and love for those who do not know how to express it. Love from a variety of perspectives, including life perspectives, and how the characters pursue their ideals by facing and growing up with each day and stumble.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

A Wild Ride From Start To Finish
I thoroughly enjoyed this K-drama, from the cliffhangers that kept me utterly absorbed to the natural chemistry between the leads and the comical moments that added a lighthearted touch. While it's not perfect – there are some plot holes – I still highly recommend it for its addictive storytelling and relentless pace that'll keep you guessing till the very end.I went in with zero expectations, giving it a try after seeing someone mention it (spoiler free) on TikTok. It was surprising because episode one hooked me instantly. Like many great K-dramas, it started with a bang, ensuring viewers were glued to their screens. As a fan of fast-paced storylines, I loved how this series kept me entertained and engaged from start to finish.
The ending was extremely satisfying for me, but I do acknowledge some flaws. For instance, the Argan arc lacked explanation, leaving some viewers confused. To be fair, even I was unsure where the story was headed at times, but the expertly crafted buildup to Hee Joo and Saeon's reunion had me completely invested. And that kiss? Absolutely perfect. In that moment, all my previous questions and concerns melted away. Both characters surrendering to their feelings was incredibly satisfying, and I was thoroughly satisfied.
The intimate scene between the leads? Totally iconic. I mean, they're a married couple, so it felt super authentic and real. It was like, the culmination of all their pent-up emotions and desires finally coming to a head. And, tbh, it was a major payoff after all the anticipation built up throughout the series.
The way the scene was shot was like yummy perfection. It was passionate, but still sweet and tender. Not too extra, but just enough to make it feel real. And those slow-motion effects? The soft, romantic vibes? Everything about it just felt so right. It was, like, the ultimate slow burn payoff, which I just ate up.
I decided to just enjoy the show instead of overanalyzing it. And honestly, that's what matters most - it was a wild ride from start to finish! (pun intended 😉)
To all the critics out there writing think pieces and judging the show harshly, relax. From the start, it's clear what kind of drama this is - a Wattpad novel adaptation, duh! It's gonna be over-the-top, cheesy, and packed with clichés. Who cares?! If you're into it, great. If not, move on. Nobody forced you to watch.
The happy ending was totally deserved, and it wrapped up the story beautifully. Each character got the closure they needed, and it was super satisfying. So, let's just enjoy the drama and not overthink it, okay?
The major takeaways from this drama were:
1. Communication is KEY. Don't hold back, and always keep it real from the jump. Honesty is everything in any relationship.
2. Loving someone means accepting their flaws. Nobody's perfect, and that's what makes relationships real.
3. Forgiveness is EVERYTHING. Life's messy, people are imperfect, and we're all gonna make mistakes.
1. Knowing when to fight for love is crucial. Sometimes, it's worth putting in the work.
A/N:
I'm low-key laughing at the haters spreading lies and trash-talking the show instead of just enjoying it. They got my original review deleted, lol what a waste of time. Next time, they should just join a circus or something - it'd be a better use of their energy.
To all the trolls out there, let me say: Screw you. You just don't get it. Some of y'all were waiting for the perfect moment to spew hate, and when the show got too popular, you jumped at the chance. Newsflash: not everyone's gonna like the same thing, and that's ok. But what's NOT ok is review-bombing, mass downvoting, and getting people's reviews deleted. Get a life 🤡
Honestly, the 'woke' warriors are sucking the joy out of everything, including our favorite dramas. But you know what? I'm over it. I'm gonna sit back, kick my feet up, and rewatch this drama guilt-free.
It's a solid 10/10 from me, but if I could, I'd give it a 10000/10. That's how much I loved it. No apologies, no justifications. Just me, my snacks, and this delicious drama.
Let's be real: Activism ≠ A Review
It's exhausting to see people using review sections as a soapbox for their performative activism. You know, those who are more concerned with appearing 'woke' than actually contributing meaningful discussions. They're more focused on signaling their virtue than providing constructive feedback.
It's like, if you're genuinely passionate about a cause, put in the actual work. Volunteer, donate, educate yourself, and have respectful conversations. Don't just hijack online spaces to stroke your own ego and pretend to be an ally....
Performative activism isn't just annoying; it's also alienating and damaging. It creates a culture where people feel pressured to pretend to care, rather than genuinely engaging with issues. And it's especially frustrating when it happens in spaces meant for discussion and community-building, like review sections. Instead it's just WW3 all the time. Be so serious and look at yourselves.
Can we please just focus on the drama and the characters, rather than competing in some kind of 'who's the most woke' Olympics?

Star crossed lovers reunite years later, but the younger versions steal the show
A drama about second chance romance will always get me, and this was a cute watch. 18 years after they broke up, Yoon Ji Won and Seok Ji Won, born on the same day and to rival families, are reunited when the ML is the new chairman of the school that the FL works at. While they both pretend to hate each other, the love they had in the past is right at the surface. The drama doesn't just show us brief flashbacks of the ML and FL, we get to spend half of some episodes with them. Usually this would be a negative, but the HS versions of our ML and FL are absolute show stealers. They have ELECTRIC chemistry, and I was so captivated by their acting and story. It's truly remarkable how well they played these roles, and they were the highlight of the show for me. If I were to rate the flashback section of the show, it may just be a 10/10. These two need to be cast in another drama together, they are that good.
The supporting cast is likable and make the story even better, they play a great role. The antagonist, the FL's friend, doesn't get what she deserves in the end. I also think that the FL had TOO much tragedy in her life. She had a fight with the ML and then didn't see him again, and her friend prevents the ML from contacting her, her parents die in a car crash, her "uncle" was responsible and didn't save them, she loses her job because she stuck up for someone who was sexually assaulted, and now she's a PE teacher, when she was the top student in the school. I feel like they just did everything to make her life miserable, when they didn't need to do all that to her.
The students in the school had their own story line too, and I loved the romance between the top student and the bottom student. Very reminiscent of our ML and FL, I wish they had a show too. This writer does a great high school romance!
The older version of the ML and FL are good, especially the ML, but they really don't have the chemistry the younger versions do, which is a shame. They style the FL really terrible in the beginning, which wasn't necessary. The story lost some steam in the last 2 episodes, which made completing it a bit of a chore.
Overall this is a cute, short drama that's not super remarkable, but enjoyable nonetheless. It's really worth watching just to see the younger versions of the ML and FL, they really stole my heart and enhanced this drama.
Rating: 7.7, rounding it up to 8/10 for the younger ML and FL (cast them in another drama!)
