A e a ost é linda :)

So underrated
I've already watched this drama in 2021 and I've re-watch this today. The feeling of watching this drama amidst the pandemic is different from today cuz it's like it reflected on what's happening before and during the pandemic lockdown but still love it a lot. It's one of my fav kdrama. Until now this drama is so underrated, I hope watchers can feel what I feel when my first time watching it cuz it deserves praise and support. The chemistry of main characters are so good, I am still hoping for them to be together for real. hahaha.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
In the Forest With No One

Snoozefest in the Forest, drinks on me!
I want to start this review in a positive note, so here are the things I liked about "The Frog":1. Acting
2. Soundtrack
3. Imagery
Unfortunately not even the hard work of these mentioned parts was enough to save this trainwreck. In the end I caught myself wishing the crazy lady story didn't exist at all because at least the secondary story with the failed hotel business and the serial killer had some potential, especially with Park Chanyeol's surprising great performance. Would it be a revolutionary concept with a groundbreaking storyline? Probably not, but at least it would've made more sense and would be much less boring. Unlike the other reviewers, I didn't find the show confusing or graphic at all: it's pretty easy to follow, just badly written. It seems like the writers didn't spend any time on the characters of the main story at all they simply said "act unhinged" to Go Minsi and she gave them the performance of her life.
If they cared more about the characters' backstories and motivations I feel like it wouldn't be as bad as it was. As it is right now, it's just violence for the sake of violence and that can never be art.
ON A LIGHTER NOTE: god, i love the daughter and the detective

Not my cup of tea but still a great art piece.
If you have become familiar with my reviews on MDL you will know I'm not a fan of violence in general and therefore it's a given "Somebody" wouldn't be exactly a favourite of mine. Nonetheless, I don't hate it at all: the acting is magnificent and the storyline comes full circle in the end.I think the ambience deserves it's credit as well because for many many times I felt terrified of a reality that wasn't even mine. If you are a fan of this genre and more slow paced pieces of media, you will probably enjoy this title as well.

A perfect blend of drama, betrayal, love, and revenge!
“Blossom” is one of those dramas that pulls you into a rabbit hole where every turn brings a new twist, and it was a great ride from start to finish. What I loved:
1. Complex characters: Let’s talk about Song Mo and Dou Zhao. Song Mo is such a layered character, battling with betrayal, family drama, and a thirst for justice. He had such a quiet strength and vulnerability at the same time. Dou Zhao was intelligent, fierce, and unapologetically herself. I loved how she used her wit to navigate a patriarchal society and stand up to her family’s relentless scheming. The combination of these two was absolute fire.
2. The romance: Song Mo and Dou Zhao’s chemistry was everything, sometimes tender and sometimes intense. That kiss before Song Mo left for the battlefield was swoon-worthy. 🤭
3. Intriguing plot: It dives deep into themes of loyalty, familial obligations, and revenge. The “time-travel” twist was a clever touch.
4. Villains you love to hate: Watching Song Yi Chun’s and Ying Xue’s schemes blow up in their faces was so satisfying.
5. Visuals and storytelling: The sets, costumes, and atmosphere were stunning and brought the historical world alive.
What I didn't love:
1. Wei Ting Yu: I’m torn here. While his love for Dou Ming was genuine, his indecision and cowardice were exhausting. I hated him yet still felt pity for him after Dou Ming died.
2. Repetitive Interruptions: Why was everyone always barging into Song Mo and Dou Zhao’s moments? 😤
The balance between romance, action, and drama was well handled.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

An exception
I have never liked following a Filipino series since they follow a western kind format—you know when there is a lot of episodes like a 100+ or even more than that if the show picks up. They also have this annoying thing where some scenes or episodes are just fillers and I don’t like it. It does not suit the whole plot of the series or even the aesthetic—it is like it was just added to prolong the story. And I know for a fact that they sometimes film an episode/scene on the same day that it will be aired. It feels very rushed. This one though had me hooked. I loved the romance between the leads and the problems that they faced were nerve-racking.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

This is my all time favourite bl. why? let me explain. (my opition)
the story was so good with humor but with also serious page. the acting is 10 out of 10. THE ACTORS. HEAR ME OUT ... Yin and war played their role so good that i couldnt tell if it was acting or real (not even kidding) i saw around 45 asian dramas and 80% of them were either boring, actors that couldnt play (not trying to hate) or they were so weird i couldnt stand them. In this bl.. i was waiting for it every. single. monday. and i dont regret it. I love this bl so much and also the actors, this drama is one of 4 bl dramas that made me cry. i recommend watching it :DConsiderați utilă această recenzie?

Loved the entire show
I didn’t know this was part 1and 2 lol. But after they were engaged a lot happened and it had me on the edge of my seat every time they encounter a problem either between them or external issues. His origin story really had me shook and the scene where he slaughtered every one of his uncles guards and his uncle as well was EPIC! Leo did great on that scene! I was in awe because of the emotions he had during that—or just the action-fan in me 😅 but nonetheless he did great on that! And i have always liked Rosy. She was also great in this so I highly recommend this drama.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Rich girl / country boy plot, well done with a great CL (Kem and Mook :)
Quite classic rich girl/country boy PLOT: The FL, rich heiress has just arrived from abroad as her mother tries to give her a "good chosen husband". To escape it, she fleeds to the countryside and meets the ML (graduated & educated, who wants to develop his farmer land). They will have to face the Villains who covet the lands, thoose who covet the FL's status and wealth, the love rivals, and particulary the opposition of the FL's mother.+++ Excellent CL with Kem/Mook, who have great chemistry
+++ Dynamic production (for a lakorn) alternating emotions and action
### The mother's character is excessive, toxic. The father is way too lenient. The Villains are too intelligent... The classic faults of lakorns with this plot!
=> Nice, especially for the Kem / Mook CL !!
**************************************************************

A great way to describe this season (and the previous one) is disappointment.
The last season did not have a conclusion at all so this season just started like in the middle of it. And because I saw the second season when it was released there have been some time since I saw it. So, when I started watching this season I did not feel invested at all because all the tension the second season finale had disappeared because of the time between watching it. It also did not help that I weren't invested in the previous season which carried over to this season. This season has the same problems as the previous one. There are too many characters that were introduced in the previous season and they don't really do anything with them. The newer characters lack so much depth.
Just like the previous season there were some character deaths but I did not really feel anything for them. Does not compare at all to the first season where I would actually feel for the characters.
At least Cha Hyeon Su had some more moments in this season than the previous one. But I was still disappointed, he also just felt really flat compared to the first season.
The pacing feels slow (but better than the previous season). I feel like the show has to many storylines that they want to follow but because of the quantity the all lack quality and any real depth. It makes me not feel that invested in any of them.
Something I couldn't help but notice was the unnecessary flashbacks. Like there would be flashback for a conversation that was literally showed two minutes ago. Like how dumb those the writers think the viewers are??
Another thing that kept bothering me was that I felt like the characters could so easily just enter and walk around the stadium after it was taken over. Like everyone could just roam freely? It didn't really feel like that much of a threat.
Just like the season the ending felt flat and was disappointing. It would have been difficult to make a decent ending to a show like this, but the ending was just really boring to be honest.
Just like the previous season I felt like this season also had fan service. In the way that the male characters are like so well put together. Like walking around with stylish clothes and perfect hair. It feels a bit silly to be honest, like this is supposed to be a apocalyptic world? Kinda ruins the setting.
I can't really complain about the production. It had the same level as the previous season.

Light, Love, and Shadows: The Unforgettable Journey of Definitely Not Today
Definitely Not Today is a refreshingly offbeat and captivating C-drama that defies conventional storytelling. From the very first episode, it exudes a cinematic charm reminiscent of Amélie. While it may not match the visual or directorial sophistication of that classic, it captures a similar whimsical yet poignant essence, creating an experience that feels more like watching a film than a traditional drama. The narrative starts light and quirky, with a playful energy underscored by a delightful soundtrack that perfectly complements its tone. But beneath its cheerful surface lies a deeply introspective story, tackling heavy and often uncomfortable themes. At its heart, the show is about a man grappling with despair and contemplating what one might call the "Osamu Dazai special." As the story unfolds, it takes a darker turn, delving into profound and unsettling territory while still maintaining a delicate balance with moments of levity.
One of the drama’s standout features is its approach to romance. Surprisingly, the chemistry between the leads feels more genuine and compelling than in many romance-focused dramas. Their connection is natural, understated, and deeply human, a testament to the stellar performances of the cast. The leads bring nuance and authenticity to their roles, making their journey together as impactful as the heavier themes the show explores.
What makes Definitely Not Today so gripping is its ability to pull you in completely. Initially intended as a casual watch during breaks, it became impossible to put down, compelling a binge-worthy experience. For cinephiles, the film references sprinkled throughout are an added treat, showcasing a love for cinema that resonates with viewers who appreciate the art form.
Despite its darker turns, the drama offers a satisfying and hopeful resolution, leaving viewers with a sense of closure and warmth. Definitely Not Today is a rare gem—a drama that dares to be unconventional, thought-provoking, and deeply moving, all while maintaining a unique charm. It’s a must-watch for anyone seeking something different, something that stays with you long after the credits roll.

Very disappointing compared to the first season
I feel like this season has a bit of different vibe compared to the first one. In the first season we had a select characters that we got to follow and know throughout the show. Now, many new were introduced that felt flat compared to previous characters.I also think Cha Hyun So got way too little screentime, especially for being the MAIN character. Like there were three whole hour long episode were we never saw him once and he wasn't even mentioned. I also would have liked the show to explore the lab institution more. I felt like the show kinda glossed over that part.
I feel like the OG crew from the first season just did not get that much screentime and were kinda just put to the side. Instead sooo many new characters were introduced that for the most part did not get any depth. We got to follow Lee Eun Yoo quite much, but I were kinda disappointed in her character development. She just kinda turned into this badass fighter type, which I think kinda took away her personality. She became a bit flat.
I think the military and the shelter thing is a interesting idea. I did like to see a broader perspective about the virus and just to see what people do in order to survive. But the whole thing just felt a bit flat. I did not get that invested in it compared to the previous season. The sense of dread and suspense was not the same. Still, there were a lot of suspenseful and actionfilled scenes I just did not feel that invested in them.
There were som major character deaths in this season, but they did just not hit that hard compared to the first season. In the first season you got to sit with the feelings and feel what the characters felt at that moment.
I also feel like they took away the monsters uniqueness a bit. There were still new and unique ones, but there were one scene were the military got chased by like 20-30 identical monsters and that just feels highly unlikely to happen. The monsters are some sort of manifestation of ones personal desire. I doubt 20-30 people had the exact same desire and became identical monsters. It's not a super big deal, but it does take away this real scary and threatening uniqueness the monsters have. The uniqueness of the monsters is something I really like, it makes them much more threatening because you never know what you will face.
I think the plot started to become a bit messy with this season. With many new characters and environments I feel like we never really got to sit with each thing for long. They are also progressing with the monster virus, but now it just feels really messy and difficult to follow. I were also not a super big fan on the monster baby thing. There weren't anything like that in the webtoon (to be fair this whole season is going off-script from the webtoon) and it felt a bit too much and messy in a way. They did not really do much with it. I feel like it could have been handled in a better way, we didn't even get to see much of Seo Yi Kyung and her child's relationship or how it progressed. It were just told by some few flashbacks.
The pacing were pretty good, especially during the first episodes, but then it kinda fell for a bit. The episodes that took place after the timelapse did not have that good of a pace. It felt a bit dragged out and during this time there were also so many new characters being introduced that I did not end up caring about so that might be a factor to why the pace felt slower.
This season has a noticeably higher budget. There were a lot more different settings and great environmental shots. The special effects are really good with great explosive and blood effects. The production did not lower in quality at all. The soundtrack is still really good, but not as good or iconic as the previous season.
Also, just a side note, this season felt a bit fan servicey. I felt like some of the scenes were there to be eye candy, there were quite a bit of nakedness, especially on men. I also felt like the season had some weird things that could be catered towards some kinks, like the whole monster pregnancy thing and being naked drenched in blood.
I might be bit harsh with my critic, but I really liked the first season and felt a bit disappointed with this season. This season were still good, but I did not get the same investment or feeling compared to the first season.

A great watch
Added to my list of favorite dramas. It had the Reply series vibe to it but more heavy rather than humor. The plot is also something I like—childhood friends growing up together and then loosing that bond with a love story on the side. The girl’s dad was a good man helping to raise two other boys as well and them becoming that unconventional family. 🫶🏻Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Great story but some things could've been better.
Firstly the the drama was a great binge. I think it is one of the best kdramas in recent. Ive lost all my interest in kdramas because of the repetitive story lines. But this one caught my attention.Over all the story was great. But they could've avoided the romance track. If there was no romance track at all the story could've been actually interesting and intense. Also i felt the ending was kind of open. Viewers like me might think there will be another season with such an ending.
Park Shin Hye's character was a badass character and i think somebody else might've been a better choice like Seo Yea Ji, IU, etc., Park Shin Hye was definitely not a right choice. Some viewers say that her acting has gotten better now but i think she is still the same. Finally the male leads character was really good and the actor was a perfect fit. But at times the character was paced down because of all the romance.
Overall it was a good series but they could've avoided certain things. It can be a good one time watch during the weekends.
