Which "God" that writer pointed in this drama?
First, the plot looked promising in the beginning but this one became a mess after further episodes. This drama hinted obvious christianity elements, like bible sentences, church, and also cross symbols. If she wants to use christianity as the base religion, then the writer needs to make it right. The way writer described "God" in this story is a wrong one. Since when God needs an angel to escort animal into heaven? They are not human and they dont have spirit. Since when God used fallen angel (black angel) to eliminate another angels? Also, since when, the fallen angel remained as a immortal human like Ji Kang Woo? Fallen angel is a devil. Also, Christian God is a God that full of love. Our relationship with Him is like father and children. He always has unconditional love that nobody can ever offered the same love. So, why the drama described Him as a mean and jealous god? We lived in new testament era when Jesus Christ already did the redemption for every sins that people commited. As long as we believe in Him, we will be saved. Its an act of unconditional love for mankind. If the writer wanna create such her own fantasy god then no need to use bible verse and christian symbols. The worst case, this drama can leads people to be confused and make the misunderstanding.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
I already watched Chippy Sirin (not the best looker, but there should also be Mona Amolrada in this) in one previous lakorn. The lakorn was so bad that I dropped it (I described my reasons in my review, it sounds unbelievable but it's true, I swear:) The girl seems cursed as I am dropping even the 2nd work I watched her in. But this is really a WEIRD piece of a lakorn, and I dare say only watchable for a few.
First epi is boring till Mac Wiranakarn shows up. His face looks better (finally he shaved) than in 'Chaobao Klua Fon' but what's with the hair? They forgot to cut it? There's always something. Also... he is some kind of psycho rapist? Now I understand the psycho hairstyle. It kinda is a waste to put this handsome guy in such role but then this nang'ek really has no other option than Puen Khanin. His character is kind, but has been "raised by the wolwes", LOL.
Second epi Puen Khanin begins to interact with the nang'ek. It's way different kind of fun than with the psycho Mac:) Obviously, first the nang'ek believes he's a psycho too, but she's to discover he's been living like a jungle kid. I still don't know where Mona Amolrada is. Mac Wiranakarn's character stays on, without being put into mental asylum, due some stupid plot.
Puen Khanin keeps shining on. He didn't dissappoint as the main cast (so far I've only seen him in one previous lakorn with Margie Rasri, where he was sharing the spotlight with Grate Warintorn). He's very likeable and cute. I wondered whether he wore a wig or actually grew long hair for this role:) His character is downright nice, he doesn't have a dark side. Even the main girl, who got treated by her family as a servant (typical cinderella) is meaner than him. If I met someone so downright innocent, I wouldn't be able to treat him like she did at times.
I wondered why isn't she more protective of him, as one could suspect he'll probably never be so happy again out there in real world like he was on his little island. Sadly, his 'Princess' (as he devotedly calls her) starts being manipulative towards him the second she finds out he's actually a lost rich heir. Never once she stops to think whether the "uncle" that raised him might be right about him being more safe there, at his island hideout.
Episode 4, there's finally Mona Amolrada. She is another girl who meets Puen Khanin's character. Will she treat him better? Apparently yes, as she ends up being called 'Angel' by him. But 'Princess' is quickly there to claim him back (she even lies that she is his wife) and collects him at the nearest police station where he ends up due "eccentric behavior".
Then they arrive in capital city. Sadly everyone treats Tiwa as a "retard" in there, as he behaves like a kid. On the island, he knew about many things. Except a few weird traits caused by fairy-tales told him by his "uncle", it was clear he had intelligence. He made quick independent decisions too, when strange people came on the island. In the city, he knows about nothing. At first it is funny. But... he does what ANYONE tells him to. Actually his only stopping mechanism seems to be when he remembers his 'Princess' instructions. 'Angel' then brings him to a doctor who's supposed to assess his intelligence. Then 'Angel' tries to help him her way, but 'Princess' interferes, and... acts like a crook, actually. Perhaps the scriptwriter really did not intend her a good character? But aren't the two supposed to be nang'ek & pra'ek?
After episode 5, it all starts to drag. It starts getting weird when 'Princess' brings Tiwa to the house to live with her friend (some annoying guy with low acting skills called Ou Smithi). The psycho rapist appears there, too. I still cannot accept him as regular character, let alone the "love rival", as he clearly belongs to a loony bin (I understand they didn't want to just cast Mac Wiranakarn aside, but then they should not have cast him in such role) and he nearly killed nang'ek. She's trying to use him somehow for her half-cooked greedy plans and he's trying not to rape/kill her. I felt bad for Tiwa yet again, when she treated the psycho better than him (she like, FORGOT what he did to her, or what?). The story got really all stupid and strange. There doesn't seem to be a single person without a mental problem or insane agenda... And that's tiring.
Episode 7, a random side-character decides to cut Tiwa's long hair. He actually looked cute with it, but I suppose the haircut made him look more civilized. It was so cute how he tried to impress his nang'ek:)) But it was probably done too soon: he still hasn't updated his behavior. Nevertheless, Tiwa's receiving "love advice" felt really weird. It was no longer clear whether he had "child mentality" or what mentality... What can be understood from the opening/closing credits collage, is that it shall all continue with both the guys (Mac Wiranakarn's and Puen Khanin's characters) aka "psycho & psycho" duo competing for the cynical nang'ek all the way (there are some shots of her in wedding dress). I like, REALLY don't wish to watch that. If you find all the lakorns the same and wish to watch something "different", then this is for you. But a bit TOO different for me, maybe?

Story
Love Rowoon. He's incredibly good looking and a great actor.Just watched him inDestined with you.He speaks with his eyes
and his expressions depict his mood and sentiments. Its a shame that the young in SKorea feel pressured to undergo plastic surgery to achieve perfect visuals just to be accepted as it stood out in this series. The cast were excellent and the storyline although it was like many korean dramas it was Rowoon who brought me here.
Haven't fully watched it yet but I'm enjoying it.

plucking flower petals off do you love me or love me not
this is such a disappointment for me. i was rooting for the story. i was rooting for female lead. throw all common sense and logic out of the window because this drama will drive you to drink.i almost drank, but god is this a very very slow romantic burn. i want to punch them all in the faces. how can a genius be so dumb and like just the side characters ONE IN PARTICULAR keeps causing all the issues and you're like waiting for her to die already. she is still alive and not miserable
I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FIRST TWELVE EPISODES!!! The beginning is the closest I've seen to the General's Wife drama with such a cute comedy storyline with some seriousness thrown in. It's fine the ML is ugly. His ugly hair is fine. The FL is so precocious and cute and her family is adorable. Her cute lil feminist speeches. I was so down for everything. Their dynamic is like Geum Jan Di and Jun Pyo. I was so invested and excited.
AND THEN IT JUST GOES TO NOTHING. the sideplots are just come crashing together and there are like plucking flower petals off do you love me or love me not. Initially it works and it's nice. But then it just get's semi-violent at times and all logic just wth is going on.
I'm so angry I wasted time watching this. Upto 14th episodes the romance is pretty minimal. Just watch the one kiss scene on youtube. You'll get your fix. I'M SO MAD. THIS WAS SO GENUINELY INTERESTING AND EXCITING AND I WAS HOPING FOR A HIDDEN GEM. I WAS ROOTING FOR HER. AND THEN I THREW HER OFF A CLIFF AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID.

All in all it's not that bad!
I'm writing this during ep 7 and so far I really like it. I'll be honest I really don't like the character of Han Dal Shik but I'm pretty sure that is not just me about that... It's just... Awful in every aspect. But, other than that I find this show really funny but also deep in some aspects and I actually love the acting especially for the protagonists. So. So far so good I think!I'm really sympathizing with saetbyul character, I really really feel her, she's like the strongest girl ever I love her. And HIM, what a naive ingenuous good man he is, i really feel like he's the one who needs to be protected from a rough world that loves to take advantage of him poor boy. I hope he'll wake up soon and be repayed for his goodness and I hope Saetbyul will be able to have a good life later in the show

The acting at some point was a bit lousy? For me Rui hanazawa's character did not get much justice, the chemistry didn't work well for me. The rest of the cast for me did an okay job not much to applaud but not as bizarre either. Although you can clearly see that there's quiet some money spent on the shooting. Cinematography was nice.
HOWEVER i like the fact that this adaption did not follow up to heavy bullying and potential rape scenes. If your'e more into soft slice of life romantic comedies then the drama is for you.

Fighting Back
November 25th, 2024:What you need to understand before you watch this is that it is basically a Korean Epic. Like a Chinese Historical Epic but Korean and has to do with crime and justice.
• If you want to get past the sorrow and crazy from the beginning go to episode 8. Those first 8 episodes have been hard for me.
• There are many flashbacks of important things because of the length of the series, it was broadcast on tv, and the year it came out so keep that in mind while watching.

Not All Females are Morons. This Character was AWFUL!
Even though this was only 15 episodes long, I had to drop it after only 3. The FL character was absolutely cringe-worthy. This was an embarrassment to female characters and especially those in a lead role, and I felt this made it even more egregious. Women can be silly and flighty as a part of the persona they are playing, but this one was just ridiculous. I couldn't tell whether that is the way the character is written, or if this actress just cannot act. In fact, I was so put off by her performance I couldn't even watch any of the other actors to see if they could redeem this story.Writers and Directors need to step up and be more responsible, respectful, and aware. This stereotype is not a good look for women. Viewers are looking for characters they can identify with, like, and be interested in. Stories of development and growth in a character are welcome - but this one is a really poor example of the portrayal of a female (especially a lead role).
I need to go back and look at who the writer & director are, review other works by them, and possibly never watch anything they produce again.

Fantastic duo, fantastic show ever
wonder why there isn't any comments for this incredible show. As a fan of Korean 80,90,00,10s songs. This show is such a fun, and touching music shows ever.Just finished watch ep 4-6 in a row.As for the ep3&4 maybe because i'm not a fan of exo, so it just bland for me. Although other singers are so good, but exo just drop the quality. It will the best if without idols.
The ep 5 & 6 is the best of the best.
The singers, the fantastic duos, the songs and the collaboration.
These episodes really made me cried a lot. It is so touching, funny, and tell a lot of story. Its gonna be one of my fav eps.
If you know a lot of korean old songs, you are gonna loved it for sure.

No Chemistry
The series isn't necessarily bad (based on the four episodes seen) and the actors are actually pretty good. But it's just lacking chemistry in all sorts of ways and it's hard to pinpoint why. The first episode is nothing like the second episode forward as it takes a leap from somber to an infusion of comedy. I was pretty excited that it had a relatively similar feel to the Fiery Priest in the beginning but it was short-lived. The ML/FL characters were made to be too extreme in personalities from the start and then shifted out of character very quickly and continually, which made what would have given them their individual charm a blur instead. The supporting actors were even more extreme with their personalities/quirks and it took too much realism out of what is actually quite a decent plot.As some minor examples, the ML is supposed to be a badass high up on the chain in the Italian mafia. Yet when he arrive in Korea, he's easily drugged by a drink offered by a cab driver and then mugged? I mean, even normal tourists with any common sense would have known to not get into a random black car at the airport when the driver is being overly pushy about using their services. As for the FL, while the actress did the best she could with what she was dealt, the character was spicy but didn't make much sense. They should have highlighted more on the reasoning behind why she was working against her father before she suddenly decided to have a change of heart. The tiny explanation of their relationship right before a major event really didn't do much. Then there are the tenants living/working at the building who are supposed to be regular folk but their characters leans more towards a circus-asylum feel. The ML's interaction with them is equally awkward.
Should reiterate that the series isn't necessarily bad but unfortunately dropping the series because I've already seen how well it can be done with the Fiery Priest.

Last Minute Romance

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it had me feeling all kinds of emotions, from laughter to sadness and all in between.
It's easy to watch, the characters are quite organic and there is chemistry between Lee Seo Won and Han Seungyeon.
I also liked how even played by Lee Seo Won, both Dong Joon and Sul Woo are portrayed to be two different people and it's done well to me.
Seungyeon's character was cute and peppy despite her terminal illness, which was probably the weak part for me, though I felt in the same breath, it made her more realistic, and taking her diagnosis in her stride.
Although it was cringy at points, I expected this and thus really had a good time getting into this story.
I would definitely rewatch again.
8/10.
