Jo Jin Woong talks about possibly returning to "Signal Season 2"
Shin Sae Kyeong will reportedly return to the romantic comedy genre after four years.
On July 10, media outlet Star News released an exclusive report revealing that Shin Sae Kyeong is in talks to lead the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama I Am A Human From Today (working title). Shin Sae Kyeong's side hasn't responded to the casting news.
This upcoming K-drama might be her follow-up project after the 2024 historical K-drama Captivating the King. This will also possibly be her first romantic comedy K-drama after four years. She last starred in this genre in 2020 with the series Run On. She worked alongside ZE: A's Yim Si Wan, Choi Soo Young, Kang Tae Oh, Park Young Gyu, and Cha Hwa Yun in the series.
This K-drama is also the first offered project to Shin Sae Kyeong since she moved agencies. Her exclusive contract recently ended with EDAM Entertainment. It was revealed that the actress is now under The Present Co, the agency founded by actor Ahn Hyo Seop and his longtime manager.
Shin Sae Kyeong is known for starring in the K-dramas Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, The Bride of Habaek, Six Flying Dragons, The Girl Who Sees Scents, Queen Seon Deok, and more.
I Am A Human From Today is a romantic comedy K-drama focusing on a Gumiho named Eun Ho. She has unchanging youth and beauty and is a happy-go-lucky person who enjoys the fun things in the human world as if it were a game. Unlike the traditional Gumiho, Eun Ho stays away from good deeds and men in fear that she will become human. After meeting a star soccer player, her life as a gumiho will change.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Kim Jung Kwon (Maestra: Strings of Truth and Love to Hate You) and writers Jo Ah Young and Park Chan Young who created the web series Best Chicken. The K-drama will be produced by Binge Works.
Shin Sae Kyeong got the offer to portray the role of Eun Ho, the hobby-rich MZ Gumiho. She does not age and also does not want to take responsibility for anything. She only enjoys her life in the human world. She is satisfied with her existence in the human world and does not aim to become truly human but because of the appearance of a star soccer player, her life will change.
There is no official confirmation yet on the broadcast date and channel for the upcoming K-drama.
