Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's Upcoming K-Drama "Lovers" Confirms its Premiere Date!

The upcoming historical K-drama Lovers will officially premiere in August!

On June 27th, media outlet OSEN revealed that Lovers starring Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin will have its first broadcast on August 4th. It will air on MBC's Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot. 

Lovers will depict the happenings in the Joseon era during the Qing invasion, known in Korean as Byeongja Horan. It will showcase the love story of a woman who believed that he can win over all the men in the world and then finally found a man he fell in love with, and a man who doesn't love anything until he found the woman. 

The upcoming historical series will be the next project of director  Kim Sung Yong (The Veil) and writer Hwang Jin Young (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People and The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang).

Aside from Namkoong MIn and Ahn Eun Jin, the K-drama will also be led by Lee Hak Joo, and Lee Da In. 

According to reports, Lovers will be battling against SBS' upcoming K-drama The First Responders Season 2 which will also be released in August.  

Namkoong Min will play the role of Lee Jang Hyun. He is a man who doesn't give sincerity in all the things he does. After knowing a woman, his life will turn around, and will face an unexpected fate. 

Ahn Eun Jin will portray the role of Yoo Gil Chae. She came from a good family and grew up as a beautiful woman. She becomes mature after falling in love with a man. Before suffering from a war, she thought that every man in the world will like her.

Lee Hak Joo will bring life to the role of Nam Yeon Jun. He is a Confucian scholar who is currently a student at Sungkyunkwan University. 

Lastly, Lee Da In was cast the role of Kyung Eun Hae. She is the closest friend of Yoo Gil Chae and she is also the soulmate of Nam Yeon Jun.
