Kim Sun Ah will possibly be the next main character of Channel A's new revenge K-drama.
Channel A is planning to create a new K-drama with a mystery revenge genre. This will be their next series after the hit 2021 drama "Show Window: The Queen's House" which received the highest rating of 10.3%.
On November 11th, media outlet OSEN shared that Channel A is gearing up to create a new series that will be released in the first half of next year. The original plan was to produce the second season of "Show Window: The Queen's House." Instead, the broadcast channel has decided to create a new K-drama titled "Queen of the Mask" (working title).
It was also included in the reports, that the broadcast channel offered the leading role to top actress Kim Sun Ah.
Due to "Show Window: The Queen's House's" popularity, there were requests for a second season. Channel A was in talks to create the second installment but after discussions, it got reportedly canceled.
A representative of the broadcast channel shared, "The upcoming new mystery revenge K-drama will be similar to 'Show Window: The Queen's House' but this will not be the second season of it. The new series is planned to premiere in the first half of next year."
"Queen of the Mask" is currently in the process of organization and casting. The upcoming K-drama will reportedly air in the first half of 2023.
Kim Sun Ah's side hasn't responded to the casting reports. The top actress is currently busy with her ongoing K-drama "The Empire." She is working alongside Ahn Jae Wook, Lee Mi Sook, Song Young Chang, Shin Goo, and Oh Hyun Kyung.
If the actress decided to star in Channel A's "Queen of the Mask" this will be her first project for 2023.
Kim Sun Ah is known for being the main lead of the K-dramas "Children of Nobody," "Should We Kiss First?," "Woman of Dignity," "I Do, I Do," "Scent of a Woman," "City Hall," "My Lovely Sam Soon," and more.
