'Squid Game Season 2' Won Ji An will reportedly lead a new rom-com K-drama with Park Seo Joon
Actress Kang Han Na may be one of the main leads of the upcoming tvN K-drama The Tyrant's Chef.
On January 2, media outlets reported that Kang Han Na will be one of the actors who will attend the script reading of the upcoming K-drama confirming that the actress will be part of the cast. However, the script reading and film test of The Tyrant's Chef scheduled today were canceled due to the mourning period of the Jeju Air plane crash.
Meanwhile, Kang Han Na's agency KeyEast Entertainment responded to the casting reports of the actress. They shared, "We are currently in the final stages of discussion for Kang Han Na's role in The Tyrant's Chef. Nothing is confirmed yet."
This will possibly be Kang Han Na's second upcoming K-drama for 2025. The actress is also expected to lead the Netflix original K-drama Cashero with Lee Jun Ho, Kim Hye Joon, Kim Byung Chul, Kim Hyang Gi, and Lee Chae Min.
Last year, Kang Han Na led the romantic comedy K-drama Frankly Speaking with Go Kyung Pyo and Joo Jong Hyuk. She also starred in the movie About Family.
The Tyrant's Chef will revolve around a chef who time-travels to the past while she is at the peak of her career. She meets the worst King, who is a great gourmet. The story will be depicted from Park Kook Jae's web novel of the same name.
Im Yoon Ah and Park Sung Hoon will lead the upcoming K-drama. There are no details yet on the character offered to Kang Han Na in the upcoming series.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Jang Tae Yoo who is known for his works Knight Flower, Lovers of the Red Sky, Hyena, My Love from the Star, 101st Proposal, and more.
The Tyrant's Chef will reportedly air on tvN in 2025.
