Bae Jong Ok is joining Byun Yo Han in "Black Out"
K-pop idols are set to dominate the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy (working title).
On July 3, media outlets reported that ASTRO's Yoon San Ha, Oh My Girl's Arin, and Chuu will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama titled My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy.
Both Arin and Chuu's respective agencies WM Entertainment and ATRP Entertainment responded to the reports. According to them, the K-drama was proposed to their artists and they are currently reviewing it.
Yoon San Ha's agency hasn't responded to the casting reports. If the ASTRO member decides to join the series, this will be his second upcoming K-drama. He will also join the cast of the upcoming series Melo House led by Ji Jin Hee, Kim Jee Soo, Son Na Eun, and SHINee's Choi Min Ho.
He has starred in several K-dramas such as Crazy Love, Your Playlist, Soul Plate, and more.
This upcoming K-drama will also possibly be the second upcoming K-drama project of Arin. The Oh My Girl member is also expected to join the upcoming series S Line with Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Da Hee, Lee Kwang Hee, Lee Han Ju, and Lee Eun Saem. Arin was last seen in the hit tvN K-drama Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow. Aside from K-dramas, Arin will also star in the new film Mad Dance Office.
Meanwhile, this upcoming series will possibly be the grand comeback of Chuu to acting. The former LOONA member was last seen in 2019 in K-dramas. She last starred in the web series Dating Class with Jang Gyu Ri, Oh Se Young, Park Seo Ham, Kim Min Chul, and Kim Dong Kyu.
My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Yoon Jae who has a girlfriend that mysteriously transforms into a man. The K-drama will base its story on a webtoon of the same name by Matstar.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of the director Yoo Kwan Mo and writer Lee Hae Na. According to reports, the K-drama will be produced by Studio N, Blossom ENC, and Playgroundz.
There are no reports yet on the roles that were offered to Yoon San Ha, Arin, and Chuu.
There is also no confirmation yet on the broadcast channel as well as the airing date for My Girlfriend Is a Tough Guy.
