Following the  “What Not to Wear in Dramaland: Male Edition” the series continues with some tips for Kdrama actresses.

Honestly, it's not easy to say which are the fashion crimes most frequently committed by female characters, since according to your tastes, you’d say from time to time that they’re simply wearing a horrible T-shirt/dress/jacket etc. Also, we have to acknowledge that girls often go through a more or less declared makeover in the course of the drama, and their fashion sense may improve. So it was quite difficult to make a Good Taste guide tailored to them, I really have to thank my sister doubLE for her help.
Here are some universally valid rules to avoid styles that no one will ever want to copy.

-Female Edition-

1. Respect the Dress Code

First of all do not follow Gae In’s example in Personal Taste and leave your tracksuits just to sleep in. She always dresses up in a slipshod way, with the baggy and comfortable kind of clothes that you’re supposed to wear only when you’re at home by yourself. So whether she had to go to a job interview or for a date or just to the supermarket, you’d never guess by her outfit.

Seriously, wasn't she ashamed to go out rigged out that way? And was that the best she could do for her best friend’s wedding?

2. Hello Kitty Cosmetics and Improvised Plastic Surgery

Makeup can be a good helper for a woman, but it may likewise become a harmful opponent. It often happens to those who don’t make a habit of putting on makeup to have someone do it for them, but, if you rely on someone with no experience, like a younger sister, the results can be terrifying, as they are for Go Eun-Chan in Coffee Prince.

On the other hand, if your breast size does not satisfy you, do not do what Oh Ha Ni does in Playful Kiss: instead of putting socks under your shirt and make them fall after some rope jumping, just buy padded bra!
They’re both trying to make a good impression on their crush, but… well, try again. Next time you'll be more fortunate!

3. Your Grandmother's Skirts

Long skirts can be worn to go to the beach or as your prom dress, but please do not wear them as your casual outfit if you’re a teenager or a twenty-something.

If you have some doubts just look at Kyu Won in Heartstrings: her skirts will remind you of a little girl who’s wearing her grandmother’s pieces of clothing in order to pretend to be an adult woman.
Now I’m sure you’ll never want to wear any long skirts.

4. Too Many Layers

“Onion dressing” is a smart and practical thing when you go on hiking trips. In other cases, however, is best avoided. But unfortunately, that’s the way girls are dressed in Dramaland when they’re not wealthy. We could name it the “beggar style”.

Take for example Mae Ri in Mary Stayed Out All Night: she probably used to open her wardrobe and, in indecision, put on all the clothes she found, matching, layer upon layer, different styles, colors and patterns. There’s no other explanation to justify that look of hers, unless we assume she was color blind.

5. Don't Judge Clothes By Their Price

The price of an object, unfortunately, is not always directly proportional to its quality, let alone its beauty! You can perfectly see it with poor Geum Jian Di in Boys Before Flowers. Despite economic problems, she dresses better with her “beggar style” (and, well, she’s not exactly a fashion icon) than when her wealthy friends buy or lend her something. What about the dress that Gu Jiun Pyo gives her to go to the island? And the prom dress Min Seo Hyun gives to her? I’m sure the F4’s faces when they saw her meant, “Oh my! She robbed the Barbie wardrobe!”
