Top 5 Stupid Female Leads

That he’s practically perfect and she's just mediocre, needless to say, it’s absolutely normal in Dramaland, I dare say foregone. While watching a drama, it seems that in Asia the 85% of the female population is neither intelligent, nor popular, nor wealthy, nor even stylish. Questions about how do these individuals eventually succeed in catching the perfect man are not to be asked, since the answer is always the same: we’re in Dramaland! Nevertheless, some female leads are so naive, so slow and so silly that manage to disarm you, or, in more severe cases, to make you scream at the screen threatening that you’ll immediately interrupt the vision of the drama.

Of course this doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy watching them or the drama in which they were protagonists, but I made a list of those who best represent the shame of female cleverness, the insult to homo sapiens sapiens (ok, maybe I’m a bit exaggerating), counterexamples that women are not all like that.

5) Choi Hee Jin – Queen Inhyun’s Man

Although she’s much more enterprising than the majority of the drama female protagonists, it seems that her brain is able to hold only one thought at a time, to be chosen between “Kim Boong Do” and “What can I invent to kiss Kim Boong Do?” Then the fact that she weeps whenever something unexpected happens, instead of thinking rationally to a solution, is only a minor detail.

4) Sung Siwon – Reply 1997

It must be said that throughout the story her intellectual faculties know a certain improvement, but while I was watching the first few episodes I really thought “How can one be so annoying?!” She’s so childish that she can’t formulate a meaningful sentence without inserting the words H.O.T. and/or Tony into it, she starts to whine for any stupid thing, she fights with her best friend because her musical tastes are changed… I mean, it's ok to be a fangirl, but this is too much! Not to mention the fact that her intellectual improvement is given by her university entrance, that occurs thanks to… a fanfiction about H.O.T.
I say no more.

3) Go Mi Nyeo – You're Beautiful

What can I say about her? She doesn't realize that Kang Shin Woo has figured out that she is a girl and he’s fallen for her, she doesn't understand a thing about what is happening around her, she doesn't realize how much her manager is making fun of her (to press your nose because your heart is beating for someone… are you kidding me?!) and so on. Well, if she managed to win only the third place is because at least she had an alibi: having always lived in a monastery evidently led her to develop a level of naivety that exceeds the threshold of decency. Ok, you're justified!

2) Qi Yue – Devil Beside You

Here is another prototype of naivety. Her IQ is probably equal to that of a 6 year old boy, otherwise, with all my goodwill, I can’t explain how can she change from being madly in love with Yuan Yi with being madly in love with Jiang Meng in just 24 hours. Without listing all the stupid actions that she does, just let us reflect on the first 5 minutes of the drama:
To deliver the letter with your declaration of love to the wrong guy… ok, let’s call it misfortune, but to run away letting it fall at the feet of a renowned asshole… you really must commit yourself!

1) Oh Ha Ni – Playful Kiss

I've compiled a list of this girl’s behaviors. They’re so stupid that being the last of the school will seem to be only a marginal element:

• To declare your love to a genius with a letter full of grammatical errors. (Great way to impress him!)
• To go after the same boy even after being rejected with the humiliation of the century. (Or you’re self-injurer, or you have some brain injury)
• Not realizing that there is already a caring and loving guy next to you. (Bong Joon Gu!! <3 )
• Do not know how to follow a recipe, not even to cook a boiled egg. (I do not have it in for you, it’s just that natural selection would have already run its own course)
• To behave like a stalker. (This would also be a little bit punishable by law…)
