It grows on you

First of all, I have to say the choice of casting is really great (the actors really have the feel of their roles)..

This is a romance story on a commoner thief who steals a magical pearl that eventually leads to her having a body swap with a noble lady. (usually I'm not a fan of body-swap stories but this one is getting somehow addictive....)

Of course, a commoner thief and a noble lady have really different personalities and well, guess what? our noble lady turned into thief is getting the crown prince's attention with her new carefree personality ... What will be the final result of this body swap turned into romance?

PLOT is unique

This is wholesome! The plot was really something and even though it's a light series, it managed to rise some medium angsty through some characters.

I was shaken by how they made this story interesting. And that body switch! NICE ONE! I like how they turn out even though I hope for the opposite of what happened.

I would like to say more about this because I truly love the plot, FL's personality, and even ML's development but I'm not in a good situation right now to discuss it. BUT, I want to rewatch this. That's how good it was! And maybe that time, I'm not f***** up and can do a proper review.

Cute

Since the casting are two cute girls with round eyes, cute is my first impression for it.

For story, it's quite predictable but does not make me feel bored at all. Cause the acting (heavy on Miaoyi) is so on point lol.

For the chemistry, they are cute too. Even the prince sometimes is more delusional than Douzi herself?

There is no regret cause the ending is quite satisfying for me.

Afterall it's a cute journey since the first till the end. Even the angst is not that much unlike miaoyi's previous costume drama.

Maybe I'll rewatch it if I miss the chaotic Miaoyi's Douzi cause really she is very energetic and powerful?

Typical soul swap drama that fizzes out.. nothing special

I have to disagree with the other two reviews! This drama started out ok but really didnt develop a thing and went no where....

The male lead is the OCD prince , but his OCD kinda disappears and it not really focused anymore . He is a little moody at times.

Female lead bandit soul swap with the prime minister daughter, thus beginning a funny encounter with the male lead and they go to school together.

The script is poorly written and there is not much interesting content, for the female lead she is trying to get by in her studies to make sure no on doubt who she is. Her soul swapping counter part becomes her maid The story become more complicated when the female lead is actually a princess from a defeated kingdom....

The prophecy of how if the prince falls in love with the defeated kingdom princess it will be his downfall.

The female lead ends up being depressed and sad and no longer quirky.

They dont develop the story of how they can swap their souls( maybe I just havent got there yet but its like ep 20 and it aint happen)

The romance seems very dull and no chemistry. I tried to give this drama a chance but its too boring!

Confusing ending

I'm the only one who was expecting an explanation about the FL and SF and the pearl at the end? SF was wounded, the princess come after saying that she fixed the pearl, she pass out next to her. And....? Thats all... It clearly didn't work, ok. But there is no talk about it. Like nothing happened. Few scenes were rushed but this one is the worst.
The whole drama was soso, entertaining in many scenes but so many were just not useful. Kind of boring at some point. Very light drama. I watched it because of this, but at some point they just mix up things too much. I wouldn't say "don't watch it" but I wouldn't recommend it either. Just watch it if you want smt light, don't try to give a meaning to everything.

Cuteness with tried and true

When I first began the show, like many others in its genre, it started off with a similar basic premise, which stood out due to the fun acting brought out by the main cast. However, as it reached closer to its end, it rushed through the plotlines and left me with an unsatisfied and unfinished taste in my mouth. The ending being the lid to its coffin in my eyes. The change in bodies and past emperor plotlines are not fleshed out in ways that can past initial scrutiny. However I would love to go through the initial watches again. If the beginning was given a bit more thought and with better writers, I believe this could have been a more intriguing story. Overall not bad and quite lighthearted and fun. It's main cast truly are the shining gem of it all.

Not that great

This story was poorly written. The main problem I had with the overall plot was it was really bias. The Jixi people along with the Crown Prince were good and could do no wrong in the FL’s eyes and the Shendong people were bad and Xing Shi didn’t have a right to fight for their country. His feelings were invalidated by her. Doesn’t make for a very good story.

Otherwise, basic plot with nothing new to offer. The romance was more G Rated. This is definitely for the younger, teenage audience. Sound track was average. Costumes were okay but production value was definitely lower. The best acting from the main cast was probably the ML. I wouldn’t rewatch this.

More of a show to watch if you are bored with nothing else to watch but I really wouldn’t recommend it.
