La perfezione esiste e si chiama Manners of Death

Titolo pretenzioso? Forse, ma è la verità (poi il RW è basso rispetto al resto ma solo perché una volta scoperti i colpi di scena, che sono ottimi e ben fatti, la serie la si rivede per le scene spicy… che ci piacciono). Tolto l’ingombro del titolo e del RW passiamo a noi: primo la storia. Ci piace (io amo parlare di me al plurale) perché differente dal solito, per me che ero un po’ uscita dal mondo del BL (e ho visto i grandi titoli fino a qualche anno fa), mi spaventava tornarci e trovare sempre i soliti BL ambientatati all’università e con i soliti cliché, che piacciono se stiamo parlando di SOTUS o di altri capostipiti del genere, ma che a lungo andare stancano (e fu così che annuncio che sto guardando la serie Between Us, universitaria fino al midollo) e che (proprio la poca diversità di contenuti) mi aveva fatto uscire un po’ dal giro, ma devo dire che questa storia è promossa, e con flying colours. Niente stereotipi cliché, niente ragazze che si mettono in mezzo… insomma qualche cosa di diverso molto interessante. Poi parliamo dei nostri protagonisti, si può chiedere di meglio di Max e Tul all’apice della loro tensione? No, perché se c’è di meglio ditemelo. Hanno veramente chimica e si vede dalla loro prima interazione nella serie. Chef’s kiss. Per il resto consiglio parecchio di vederla anche solo per appunto la chimica tra i due che è spaziale e per il fatto che la storia (anche se togliessimo i due) sarebbe comunque molto piacevole ed interessante

I literally don't know where to start...I just finished watching the last episode and I just finished crying. Im filled with so many emotions right now its insane. This BL was so different than your average BL show and I absolutely loved it. It's filled with so much suspense, cliff hangers, drama, romance etc. Ughhhh I loved it. ALL the actors and actresses did a phenomenal job! Tan and Bun's chemistry in the show is just chefs kiss, absolutely loved them together! Guys I can't stress this enough, please watch this show it is sooooo freaking worth it. I've watched A LOT of BL's and this is definitely in my Top 5. I don't want to spoil the show so I'm gonna end my review here lol. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 10/10!

Worth a watch

If you are looking for something a bit more mature in the BL world give it a watch.

I am writing this after my second watch thru. I remember really liking this the first time through probably because it was so different from the typucal BL. The second watch thru i was a bit mire critical.

I still like the idea of this series being a crime mystery but I noticed so many things that just should have been better. Simple things like at least doing a little research to make the medical side more believable. I was also surprised at how awkward MaxTul seemed at times. I also was a bit surprised at the acting of Tul. It just didnt seem like his heart was in it.

I still think this is good for at least one watch thru just because it steps out of the normal storyline and tries something dufferent.

So Good! Watch it!

Loved the scenery...it was nice to be out of the big city. The views were stunning. I loved the houses that were used in this series...so different from the apartments/dorms of so many other dramas. Loved the story line...I am a sucker for the "who dun it" plot (crime thriller). I make it my goal to figure out the ending before the ending and I failed miserably on this one which makes it so much better! I adore Max and Tul. They truly appear 100% comfortable around each other which helps the viewers to get sucked into the show. I thought Max looked great with his straight hair and death stare (chin down, eyes up). Tul showed more of his adorable side in this one. He looked at Max so softly, sweet and with a bit of "come here, baby" in his eyes. His character was way more vulnerable that his other role so it was a fun change. The other actors nailed their parts as well. I appreciated the innocence of ThatSorn's relationship despite That's lifestyle. Nam slayed her role (seriously, how do you prepare for a role like that?!?).

The only cons I have for this is Tan/Dam didn't remind Bun about their run in when they were at university and he never told him the meaning of the pink lily. What does it mean?!?

All in all, this goes on my must watch list and will be one I return to.

Unpredictable till the End

A deep themed drama with a very solid story that engages you from episode one and keeps you on your toes till the end with the mystery solution. I was expecting predictability only to be rebutted time, after time, after time. The plot was complex with twists and turns, succeeding when many shows of the mystery genre fail with cliché plotlines. With that being said, I did have my issues with how some clues came conveniently to the story as a plot device or some parts getting rushed. It just felt too easy, I wish they were developed differently.

As for the romance, it didn't win me over personally. The way it was added to the main story was interesting and it did make sense, but I could live without it or at least with less of it. It didn't merge that well for me with the rest of the story. Sometimes it felt that the show turned bipolar, because its tone was shifted. Though, I understand it was for relief purposes, the result wasn't very smooth.

However, that says nothing about the actors themselves. They were pretty skilled with a lot of chemistry and portrayed their characters very well, just like the rest of the cast. I give a little more credit to Meiko, though. I really loved her performance!

I definitely recommend the series to mystery lovers who want something dark and complex with a bit of romance for the flavour..

Very good for Action lovers

This was my first not 'Engineering Student BL'. After finished the BL went to find the book. The story not the same but again great book to read to be near main characters again.
What i liked:
-great work from MaxTul, was my first series with them. The chemistry is simply overflowing.
- good plot, kept me under suspense even thou knew who is the culprint feom ep5 still wanted to know the reason
-focus on real problems. Depicted abuse and exploration of women
What i want:
Waiting for Transplant sequal. Was so happy to see the connection with my other favorite Triage.

Manner of Love...

Je viens de finir ce lakorn et j'ai retrouvé avec beaucoup de plaisir le couple d'acteur TulXMax qui m'avait déjà énormément plu dans Together With Me.
J'aimerais vous parler un peu de cette production et de mon ressenti.

L'histoire :

Enfin, on sort des schémas des BL scolaires ! Ouf ! Ça fait plaisir et c'est pas souvent. Ce n'est pas que je n'aime pas ce type de BL mais, au bout d'un moment, j'ai l'impression que je connais mieux les locaux de l'université d'ingénierie que les vrais étudiants thaïlandais. Et puis, ils faut l'avouer, se confronter à une histoire un peu plus mature avec d'autres enjeux que les traditionnels problèmes entre le rival de l'un ou l'ancien crush de l'autre ben, pour moi, ça donne un peu plus envie de plonger dans le canapé et d'appuyer sur la touche play.
On a ici droit à un vrai polar enquête / action avec moult rebondissements mais avec des moments très tendres quand ils sont centrés sur la romance (voire même assez chaud parfois ^^ ) et quelques ressorts comiques pour détendre l'atmosphère qui, sans ça, serait bien plus dure à supporter car le lakorn traite de sujets graves et sombres.

Les personnages :

Le couple TulXMax qui incarne le couple de héros principaux BanXTan à une affinité de fou ! Ces deux là, juste quand ils se regardent, ils pourraient faire fondre le permafrost en plein hiver tellement c'est chaud entre eux.
Après, mon objectivité vole loin de moi car on parle ici d'un de mes chouchou dans l'industrie des lakorn thaï avec l'acteur Max. Non, mais, regardez le ! Il a un visage, un sourire, et des yeux ! Mais ces yeux ! Ça doit être illégal de transpirer la sensualité comme ça !

Dans l'ensemble, le jeu d'acteur est bon et l'action de la série n'en est que meilleure. La performance ici de Tul m'a paru un peut moindre que dans Together With Me mais, avec le temps, il rattrape ses petits défauts et ça roule.
Les personnages des « gentils » savent tous se rendre attachants et même si la romance n'est développée que pour le couple principal, on voit quand même des petits rapprochements entre d'autres couples possibles, malheureusement on rentre ici dans un clichés propres au BL : tous les hommes sont gays, enfin tous ceux auxquels on s'intéresse dans la série du moins.

La réalisation :

L'enquête et l'action sont bien menées, il y a des twists qui surprennent, des suppositions, des complots des pièges... Bref, pas le temps de s'ennuyer. Les scènes de combat sont assez réalistes mais les personnages qui se font tabasser ou qui prennent une balle vont trop rapidement mieux ou ne conservent pas de marques au delà de 12h de temps donc, sur ce point, la réalité fout le camp.

Ensuite, il y a des ficelles ou résolutions qui sont un peu grosses et là, attention, partie SPOIL vous êtes prévenus !
Tout d'abord, au début quand on retrouve le corps de Jane sur la scène de crime et que la police conclut très vite à un suicide,

ATTENTION SPOIL
elle est ASSISE ! D'où tu t'assois après t'être pendu ?! Et on le voie avec la vidéo du meurtre à la fin, le corps de Jane et bien mis en position assise APRÈS sa mort.
messieurs les policiers faudrait revoir vos cours sur la capacité d'action d'un cadavre...

Il y a aussi le moment où le couple principal est avec l'ami informaticien du professeur Tan.

Ils sont encerclés par la police, l'informaticien balance les vidéos sur le net, et les policiers, EN PLEINE INTERVENTION, regardent leurs portables !

Juste, non, dans la réalité c'est impossible que ça se passe comme ça et même d'un point de vue fictionnel, c'est particulièrement capillotracté (= tiré par les cheveux, si vous préférez). Là, ma suspension d'incrédulité m'a remercié pour toutes ces années, m'a fait un petit signe de la main et m'a quitté pour vivre d'autres aventures plus vraisemblables tout de même parce qu'il ne faut pas pousser.

Bilan :

Pour résumer, malgré quelques fausses notes, cette série m'a beaucoup plu surtout pour avoir le plaisir et l'avantage de retrouver ce couple d'acteur qui joue si bien (surtout Max !) et cette histoire qui sort des sentiers battus du milieu scolaire donne une grande bouffée d'air frais au BL traditionnels.

Maintenant, à vous de vous faire votre avis.

MaxTul OMG!

Okay! Someone here led me to believe that the story wouldn't be that great, and I curse you whoever you were (jk).
I honestly LOVE the story, just seeing grown men handling grown men business (solving crime and kissing) was AMAZING. I loved Max's acting and I think it was perfect. Tul might need to work on his expressions a bit, but I'm going to LOOK PAST THAT because this was nearly perfect. I loved the color choices, and the subdued music in the series. it was the PERFECT choice. I loved how they kept the kids' storylines muted and minimal. And, and and, I genuinely loved the chemistry and story. I want to say more, but I also don't want to spoil. But, when I realized who it was, it made me want to smack a b. Come on, how are you going to be this heartless, bruh? I loved it though, and great, GREAT acting for this character until the very last moment

So, if you're looking to invest in a show that will bring a little action and thrill and romance to you, please watch this.

My only issue was that we didn't get to see final little kiss at the end of the series. That would have sealed the deal for me.
Give this a go! It's so so so underrated! I hope to see a new show from MaxTul soon.

This show is amazing.

I found this show via several weeks of it trending on tumblr and I am so so glad I did. All it took was the trailer and I’d signed up to WeTV to watch it.

The cast is amazing and honestly so is the plot. It’s well written worn care given to the characters - and boy can they act. I appreciated the time given to the characters, and Max and Tul’s chemistry and Tan and Bun is genuinly breathtaking at times.

This is a crime drama thriller with a gay romance and both parts of this are excellently done.

Whenever a new episode aired I dropped everything to watch it. It never disappointed.

Also, this is probably the only show I’ve ever seen in which an inanimate cactus is an important secondary character. I am not joking.

каждый должен это увидеть

Ох уж эти два больших, красивых парня... На этом можно было остановиться, но не в этот раз и не про этот лакорн. Насчет начала этого сообщения - это мой вечный комментарий в тт под видео о МаксТулах.
Наверное, как у многих, я слежу за всеми выходами Макса и Тула, после лакорна "Вместе со мной" Так и этот лакорн попал в просмотр из-за них. Увидев жанр "детектив" и "саспенс" была немного взволнована тревогой и счастьем, так как понимала, что актеры не маленькие и играть розовые сопли им как-то не очень идет. Сюжет зацепил с первой серии. Ну очень необычно. Не скажу, что затянуто, все именно как надо. Весь лакорн в напряжении. Вроде бы вот вот раскроется все, а тут бац и нет.
Как-то в одном интервью Тула спросили, кого бы он видел из актеров своим партнером, он ответил, что хотел бы чтобы Макс был его постоянным партнером в съёмках и это реально круто. Их игра просто в улёт. Горячая химия и мощная сцена , не играют, а проживают.
Чаще, сюжеты поднятия тем коррупции и противозаконных действий в верхах, любят поднять Корейцы, но здесь и Тайцы подняли, так подняли.
Честно, впервые увидела Грета (инспектор Эм) и Пу (младший брат Тана). Все - эти двое просто убили мое время на перемотки их моментов назад. Грет - это вообще отдельная теперь моя тема. Форма, которая вот вот порвется на таком мощном теле. Взгляд, игра лицом.... Господин инспектор - будьте моим зятем, ну пожалуйста. Честно, хотелось бы отдельные лакорны по второстепенным парам. (кто смотрел, поймет про какие пары речь). Уж очень хорошая химия, намеки.
Лакорном очень довольна. 10 из 10 и ни грамма меньше. Игра всех, абсолютно всех - шикарна.
Немного не понятны были операционные - такое впечатление, что это вип-туалет (уж простите), а не больница. Есть и еще не понятки, как например, семейная клиника. Что стало с врачом Фэй?
Домов-особняков что-то слишком много и все в отдельных местах и все в лесу. Маленький вроде город. хахах...
Сюжет необычный, прекрасная игра актеров, красивейший актерский состав, прекрасная природа. Лакорн стоит того, чтобы его посмотреть хотя бы раз.
ха... да...
Так что же означает "розовая лилия"7 и кактус... кактус так и не зацвёл.

Nearly Great

MoD was a very enjoyable show to watch IF you're more invested in the storyline than the romance. There were so many scenes where the relationship should have developed more, but then there's a cut to the next scene! Max and Tul have such great chemistry together, and I honestly wish we could have seen a more gradual development of their relationship instead of kiss scenes that seem out of place and a lack of romance in the scenes that should have it.

The plot was really interesting and I enjoyed the crime aspect of the show a lot. I think things could have been sped up just a bit, but overall it was fairly well paced. The characters outside of the MaxTul were still super interesting to watch, and the viewer is kept on their toes trying to figure out what actually happened in the murder case. I think that this is a great watch, but the writing of the romance scenes was a little rough. Max and Tul were able to pull it off, but it could have been executed a lot better. Intertwining the romance and the crime plotlines in a way that didn't make either seem out of place would have made this show flow much better.
