2gether (2020)

Honestly I know alot of people had high expectations for this. I'm not a picky watcher so I watch dramas based on edits that I see on YouTube, the only thing I'm cautious of is if the acting is cringey, the reason why I decided to watch it was because it wasn't cringey for me. But I really don't understand the low ratings for this because I really enjoyed it. I think they weren't satisfied with how the ending was . I personally really am thankful for noticing this series because I loved it from beginning to end. I noticed not many people liked how after ep 10 Sarawats character became careless and I truly understand that after they broke up (I dont remember what episode it was) there wasn't alot of emotions left in the last few episodes. They did end up getting back together and I think since the last episode was nearing everyone wanted a last kiss scene from them but they didn't receive it. All the characters in the drama had a happy ending so as long as they get one then my time watching this drama was worthy. If you really like jealousy scenes then I suggest this drama is the right one for you. Over all I think this drama was amazing and I hope those of you who did give this drama a low rating dont come at me because I just wanted to state my opinion on this, I understand we all have different opinions on this so I trully respect each one of your opinions :)

The last time I watched it was when the final episode came out i was very dissapointed to see that gmmtv did a different storyline towards the end the actors did a great job tough potraing their characters i hope that there will be a season two because they didn't really had much of affection and the kisses if you even call them so didn't felt real for me sorry to say but it just didn't

Everything has a good side and bad side

Good points
Actually, I love 2gether. Every time I finish watching, I always say "This is the best episode". At first, I thought 2gether was a simple and fresh series. Not too light but also not too heavy. Everything feels right and perfect. I think this is what makes people like this series. Until episode 10, I couldn't choose which episode was the best, because every episodes was great in my opinion. This series makes me always hope every day to be Friday. In fact, I can rewatch each episodes 2-5 times. Until episode 10, I dare say that I prefer the series version over the novel version. I feel the storyline and also the character's personality are better in the series. Not only the storyline is good, but also the acting abilities of the actors are extraordinary. There was a strong chemistry between Tine and sarawat even from the beginning they met. The other characters also play well in this series. My favorite character is Green, thanks to him Sarawat and Tine can meet. 2gether not only make me like Tine and Sarawat, but also with other characters.

Bad points
The first 10 episodes were too good so I had high expectations for the ending. In the end, I was disappointed. The thing that disappointed me the most was Pam's character. Actually, Pam's character in the novel is only an old friend of Sarawat who wants to just meet Sarawat, but the character is changed in the series. I know this change to add drama. But, as I said at the beginning of the appeal of this series is a simple story. Problem like third person in this series is exaggerated. 2gether's main appeal was lost because of that. Chemistry between Sarawat and Tine is also seems lost, instead lovers they seem like roommates or brothers. I am disappointed with the ending of 2gether, because I feel this series has the potential to be better than that.

Story: The story itself is a cliche. I mean Love Sick already did this, only it's pretend relationship to chase away a arranged relationship. But still, the essence of a pretend relationship turnt love and then the confusion in between, all that jazz, is cliche. What the story should focus on then, is execution and making sure the details are unique, which I think 2gether has done well to differentiate from others. How Tine approached Sawarat and how Sarawat responded, is their own thing.

Their relationship development can be a little dragging after having spent so long with the back and forth between "liking" or "disliking" especially when Tine's character is unaware of his own feelings. Sarawat's feelings might not be "out there" at the beginning but we all can tell he likes Tine from the getgo. Who responds to a confrontation with "If you keep looking at me like this, I will kiss you until you drop," ? Someone who has a crush, obviously.

The editing in this series becomes noticeably more choppy as each episode continues. I don't know if Champ, the director, or P'Aof, the producer, is trying too hard to get 2 novels into 13 episodes and this was his best, or if he's truly unaware how choppy it looks. The choppy editing does make certain moods/feels feel forced or dissipate too quickly. Which then does ruin the overall experience of each scene. The editing definitely needs work.

I have no interest in the side couples. Literally 0%. I just don't care enough to be invested in how their relationship will develop. Sure I will watch it so I know what's up but do I really care if they don't get together or if they do? Not really.

Overall, the story is pretty good. It's super cute, specifically Tine. I could use less of the poorly edited scenes but it's cute, nonetheless. Reminds me of a compilation/cut scenes/shots of two people's relationship rather than a well executed development. Ya get me?

Acting/Cast: I think the cast is perfect. Win is perfect for Tine. He's so cute and energetic, the epitome of how Tine is in the series. Is he even acting or is he just being his usual Win in the series? lol. Bright is also perfect for Sarawat. His initial demeanor is very similar, The no smiling, a little awkward/cold, but sweet once you get close type. Their acting is good for the amount of energy in the series, in my opinion. Win's acting is definitely very good for a first timer, but in comparison to actors who have been in the career for a while (I keep thinking of Gun Atthaphan) his acting is pretty average. It's not the worst but it's also not the best, like you do notice the subtle "I am new, I am uncomfortable" feel. The other reason why his acting might have been good in this series is because he isn't exactly acting like a different person to his normal self. Tine is Win, and Win is Tine. That, imo, is easier to act out than if Win were to attempt to act like Sarawat (which we have seen from interviews, is not as good as when Bright does it). He has plenty of room improve though and I have high hopes for Win's future. Bright's acting, when not considering the series, is average. Maybe it's the bland character that's making his acting bland but Bright's acting for Sarawat is bland. He's stuck with one portrayal of Wat and it's noticeably average as the series continues. I find Bright's angry expression hard to take seriously, that's just my thing. He does this thing where he contorts his face and one of his eyes is smaller than his other eye.

Overall, both Win and Bright did good for the series but if just critiquing their acting alone, then there's room to improve for both actors.

Music: This series is basically a Scrub'b album, of course the music is going to be good. The opening song is nice and Bright's Kun Gu is very catchy as well.

Rewatch Value: 8/10. The series itself is entertaining but overall, I wouldn't rewatch this too many times.

It's a must watch

My first thai BL series ever.
This series will always have a special place in my heart. This saved me during COVID-19 pandemic.

2gether The Series has a very light story. It was based from a novel. It’s funny, cute, romantic, and musical. I’ve watched it 8 times already and planning to rewatch it again on netflix before still2gether. I may agree with some other reviews about the last 2 episodes, which are really heartbreaking episodes and feels like they are rushing the stroy towards the end, but I think there is still room for improvement. Thankful that there’s still2gether this august. Please give Tine and Sarawat a better sweet ending. Thanks. ?

I would highly recommend this series for first timer who wants to watch bl series.

2gether es una historia llena de mucho conocimiento y descubrimiento personal y el aprender que todo lo que queremos aveces no sale como debe o queremos, pero debemos aprender que eso nos hace crecer y descubrimos a nosotros mismos.

La serie tuvo mucho posibilidades de ser mejor creo en verdad que se debe a que tomaron actores que no estaban listos para ser actores de BL y eso convirtió a la serie a la final como más que un BL en una pasarela de modelos, donde a raíz de eso el contenido y lo que quería demostrar la novel a se perdió ya que no mostraron lo que la novela mandaba de mensaje y mucho menos mostraron a los personajes como debieron ser, distorsionaron todo a su conveniencia y tomaron escusa igual a la pandemia, no siento que trasmitieran la verdadera escencia de los personajes y mucho menos su historia de amor que iba más allá que todo lo acontecido en esos 13 episodios que terminaron siendo de relleno, tuvimos un capítulo 11 inventado sin sentido alguno para lograr más confección con Tine en donde sarawat faltó mostrar más fuerza lo que el personaje y sus sus esos con su familia quedaron igual, a la final quien vea el drama no esté familiarizado con la novela o lo que es BL de años para atrás quedará encantado pero quienes ya necesitamos más que solo cara bonitas exigiremos más y más ya que el amor es así no solo decir te amo y no demostrarlo, la serie queda muy por debajo en lo que es actuación y desenbolvimiento ante otras historias anteriores que debieron superar pero no lo lograron es triste proque esperaba mucho esto y leerme la novela fue esperando algo mejor que la novela no algo tan corto como lo que nos dieron.

Apoye las visualizaciones porque el trabajo fue hecho y abrirá otras puertas pero no quita aún la corona a ese mismo índole a su antesesora Sotus quien el amor era más evidente y compartieron el mismo estilo de amor si cercanía ??

Ahh... Je sais pas ou commencer cette critique... Bon j'imagine qu'une petite mise en contexte ne serait pas de trop X)..
Je ne regarde pas des BL depuis tres longtemp, les seuls que j'ai vu avant 2gether étant Why R U et TharnType.. Il y a peut etre des critique qui auront des explication avec le genres, donc je m'en excuse d'avance. Maintenant c'est partit X)

2gether me faisait vraiment de l'oeil, il avait de beau acteurs, un scénario qui semblait sympathique et je me suis naivement dit que j'allais retrouver une histoire d'amure passionée comme dans TharnType et Why R U... Mais non .. Les premiers épisode était vraiment prometteurs. J'aimais l'alchimie que dégageait les deux acteurs. et bien qu'il y avait quelques petits point illogiques (Green qui apparait que lorsque le scénario en a besoin ou meme Sarawat qui se fait frapper parce que des meufs on like ses post IG ...) j'appréciais et je passais un bon moment.

Mais la qualité a vraiment décliné... Je pense que c'est quans Tine Et Sarawat se sont mit en couple et ont eménagés ensemble (c'était d'ailleur plutot précipité '-') A partir de la il y a plusieurs problemes.
Deja dans le scénario qui n'avait plus rien a raconter, le rythme qui etait plutot long et qui me faisait parfois passer des moments beaucoup trop long.
Et en fait je pense que le Couple principal avait des problemes. Deja tout simplement parce qu'ils ne se font pas confiance. *début du SPOIL* Par exemple avec Pam ! Je veux dire ce n'est qu'un calin. Tine a juste fait des conclusions hatives alors qu'il savait tres bien que cela fait un an que Sarawat l'aime et qu'il a fait tout les concert de Scrubb pour le retrouver. Si c'est pas la preuve ultime que Sarawat est fou amoureux de Tine... (Par contre la scène ou il pleure, l'acteur a vraiment bien joué) Et ensuite, a quel moment tu vas faire confiance au premier gars venu qui t'avait déjà draguer '-' J'ai un gros probleme avec ce moment parce qu'il aurait suffit de se parler pour regler le malentendu :-: (je deteste quand les problemes sont juste un probleme de communication entre les personnages '-') *Fin du SPOIL*

Aussi, le couple principal n'avait pas l'air amoureux. Ils avaient plus d'alchimie lorsqu'ils n'étaient pas en couple... Il n'y avait non plus pas du tout de contact entre les deux, rien meme pas des calin lorqu'ils dorments ensemble ou un petit bisou le matin ;-;. Quand je me dit que je viens de Finir TharnType avec un couple avec une alchimie à couper au couteau, des magnifiques scenes ensemble ca me met mal :-:...

Les acteurs n'étaient pas à l'aise ensemble et ne degageait des vibes de couple. Aussi bon acteurs sont ils je ne ressentais pas d'amour entre les deux. Ce qui est vraiment dommage lorsque leur couple est le centre de l'intrigue...

Je vais légérement passé sur les deux autre romance. Celle de Man et Type m'a dé cue. J'aimais bien au début comment Man avait eu le coup de foudre, mais a partir du catfish pour pouvoir le voir, je n'ai plus du tout approuvé ses techinques...
Pour Mil et Phukong c'est pas top non plus... Phukong m'a fait tellement de peine ;-;... Pour moi il aurait du avoir plus de devellopement et éventuellement trouvé un autre garcons avec lequel il se serait rapproché et aurait oublier Mil ..

Bref je trouve ca plutot dommage qu'un drama qui avait si bien démmaré ne se finissent comme ca.... Je pense que certains pourrait aimé mais ce n'est pas le bl que je recommaderais le plus ;-;

Best 2020 BL

Contrary to every negative reviews, which were solely based on the last episode or the wrap-up (sadly, the pointed issues generating negative reviews are not big deals and very nitpicking), overall the 2gether the series is the best BL in 2020 GMMTV ever made in their history and the second best after Until We Meet Again due to the following reasons:
1. Opening theme and music in the series are excellent, all of them. Rarely, any BLs ever have all many excellent soundtracks except for Until We Meet Again. TharnType, which is overly hyped because of the cuteness of the actors, not the story line, only have one good song;
2. Story line: entertaining, light and superb without any dark or negative elements, like TharnType (gang rape, homophobia, sexual assault/molestation by Tharn to Type, then even after being molested, Type and Tharn become a couple, which does not make sense in a real life romance (unnatural). The series offers a lot of scenes that make audience smile. The series also does not use sex to attract audience like Why R U. The series is clean of sexual scenes which I admire it to be fit to be watched safely. Sex is a private matter, which should not be the exploited publicly;
3. Acting: superb and natural chemistry on all actors playing the characters. Their acting moves audience feeling the characters they were playing (the series has a soul). Win and Bright might have been stiff during the beginning of playing the character, which unfortunately, was shown in the wrap-up episode due to the scenes were shot in the early stage of the production when they just started knowing each other, but “overall” the acting is superb. All negative reviews only focused on the last episode which was shot on the production early stage and did not see the overall/big pictures of the acting in the show; and
4. Casting; the best casting ever made in the Thai and global BL series. Supporting actors are class A actors,(some of them used to play main characters in other BL series), almost equal to the main actors.

Overall, GMMTV has made the best BL series in their BL history production by making 2gether the series.
For all who have not watched the 2gether the series yet, do not get discouraged by negative comments or reviews. These negative reviews do not see the overall or big picture of the series as the negativity was based on the last two or the final episodes which did not justify the entire series.

I love everything about this series. The series is such a fun series to watch. I feel like it's a series many people can watch and love because it's very comfortable to watch. Everything from the production, story and editing is so good, but my absolute favorite thing is the actors and their acting, IT'S SO GOOD!!!! They are very natural and talented. Nothing is too much or too little, everything is just right. I'm so happy for Win and Bright, they deserve all the love! I also love love love how Scrubb, the thai band, and their music is the theme for the series. I even love the colors, the warm tones.

I do think ep 12 and 13 could have been better and have better script, but at the same time it gave us really good acting. I'm really excited for (still)2gether! I will treasure this series for a long time, it gave me so many good memories. I miss waiting for every Friday and the new episode.. I keep rewatching this series every week haha oops. My favorite.
