What happened!?!

Before watching, this drama had so much potential with an all-star cast! I was so excited to watch this show. Unfortunately, with each episode, the show went progressively downhill. The script writing makes even the best actors suffer. More money should have been put into casting a seasoned actor as Santi since it is a main role. So much money was spent on special effects, but it was a waste given the below average storyline. And the idea of using pipettes to do microinjections is ridiculous. There is a reason companies spend thousands of dollars on precision equipment. Anyway, I hope the ending isn't too disappointing. I won't hold my breath.

Intensivão do Amor foi uma história que me surpreendeu positivamente. Dei nota 8 porque, apesar de ser um enredo relativamente simples, conseguiu entregar emoção, desenvolvimento consistente e personagens cativantes.

A trama foi bem construída, equilibrando momentos de leveza e profundidade de forma natural. O romance foi desenvolvido de maneira gradual e realista, o que me fez torcer pelo casal principal. Não parecia forçado ou apressado, mas sim algo que crescia organicamente ao longo da história.

Os personagens, por sua vez, foram um ponto forte. Cada um tinha suas peculiaridades e contribuiu de forma significativa para o desenrolar da narrativa. A química entre os protagonistas foi cativante, e o jeito como os conflitos e mal-entendidos foram resolvidos deu um toque de maturidade à história.

Embora não seja perfeito, Intensivão do Amor é uma daquelas histórias que deixam uma sensação boa ao final. É aquele tipo de conteúdo que a gente assiste e, no fim, pensa: "Valeu a pena cada minuto." Uma ótima escolha para quem gosta de romance com toques de realidade e leveza na medida certa.

Decent crime drama with good acting from the cast that took 10 years to solve

Let Wind Goes By is a crime drama set in the rural town of Ningxia. A soon-to-be-retired policeman solved the case in 10 years with the help of the newly assigned team captain.

The acting is excellent for the entire ensemble, especially Yang Cai Yu and Jiang Qi Ming. The story's pace is not bad, but the flashbacks between 1993 and 2003 were sometimes confusing. The drama would be excellent if it were cut short by 4-5 episodes. It is a bit dragging at times, and I watched with 2.x speed to bypass the unnecessary scene filters, which are quite common in Cdrama.

Synopsis: In 2003, a mining town in Ningxia faced relocation when suddenly a burned female body appeared in front of the police station. The circumstances of the case are very similar to an unsolved murder case from 10 years ago. The retired police officers Chu Zhi Qiang and Zhang Tao, who were reassigned to Ningxia, worked together to solve the case while simultaneously dealing with the town's relocation.

Would not recommend, but it has its moments

First of all, great casting. At least they did well there. The plot overall is not complex. Basic university bl, what can you expect.
I'm not gonna lie, I watched the main couple on 2x speed. Actors did a great job bc I could not stand Toh. I understand the character as a concept. Extremely insecure and believes that he is not deserving to even be close to Nuea, much less date him. So he happily settles for being a fan from afar. Great, I get it. The stalking was wayyy too much. I've watched a few shows with these kinds of characters and I usually dislike them. Toh is the worst of them all.

Now where the show shines is the side couples. Kaojao and Sky are precious. Sky for the most part is a total green flag and adores Kaojao with all his being. Kaojao is bullied for being fat/ugly and probably developed body dysmorphia from that. The actor himself is honestly average weight, though not a stick or muscular. I think he lost weight from HS, so I work with it. Not like average weight people can't have body weight issues too. I relate a lot to Kaojao (who is a sweetie). I really liked watching him with Sky (even if they can be all cute cliche bl).

This show is also the ONLY bl to feature a character in a side couple that is canonically not a cis man. Not a clue how one could describe Daisy's gender. I can only tell you they are not male and not masc. Let me tell you, it's a breath of fresh air to see a genuine fem character in a couple that isn't being laughed at. Touch is a huge green flag. A whole forest. My god I wish someone would look at me like Touch looks at Daisy. The way he's so respectful about their identity too. I love it.

Basically, watch at your own risk. It's cringey and not really a good show, but I can't bring myself to hate it.

¿Qué tienen en común los hombres y los millonarios? Que no hacen nada bien

Si hubieran puesto a los millonarios a matarse entre sí, se hubieran ahorrado 11 capítulos.

La idea del virus y su impacto en la sociedad comienza con mucha fuerza, pero a medida que avanza la trama, se siente relegada en favor de los conflictos interpersonales en el edificio. Otro aspecto que podría considerarse un punto débil es el ritmo narrativo. En ciertos momentos, especialmente hacia la mitad de la serie, el enfoque en las disputas internas de los residentes hace que la trama pierda intensidad. Además, el desarrollo de los personajes secundarios no siempre está bien logrado. Muchos de ellos terminan siendo estereotipos unidimensionales: el vecino egoísta, la pareja en conflicto, etc. El final no es la gran cosa, si bien cierra la historia principal de manera satisfactoria para algunos, puede resultar demasiado apresurado o incluso conveniente, dejando preguntas sin resolver sobre el mundo exterior y el virus en sí.

Well written story, lovely characters

I am not a big fan of costume dramas but it seemed fun because of the transmigration plot and I was not disappointed! Enjoyed every second of the drama.

All the characters are well written and the actors delivered. They all had depth and held some importance to the story.

I especially loved our ML, he is such a tsundere but also a soft ball who just wants to be loved. Not to mention how handsome the actor is!!

Overall really loved the drama except i wished they showed us more because why end it like that. The audience needed more of the romance part, I actually hoped they'd release a special episode or something but again I also heard it is because of chinese censorship (I have no idea why they want to make us suffer)😭😭😭

Sehr niedlich....

Dieses Drama ist total süß. Ich hab die Chinesische Version nicht gesehen und deswegen ist es für mich jetzt auch nicht schwer, objektiv zu Werten. Ich bin da mit Null Erwartungen ran und wurde nicht enttäuscht.
Die Story ist herzerwärmend und sehr schön umgesetzt.
Die Protagonisten treffen sich durch Zufall immer wieder. Es entstehen Bindungen zu den Hauptfiguren, aber auch die Nebenfiguren sind Facettenreich genug um interessant zu bleiben. Der Aufbau der Serie erinnert stellenweise an Full House Thai.
Die Chemie zwischen den Darstellern stimmt und die Story bleibt solide. Man hätte die Geschichte sicherlich in weniger Folgen erzählen können, das ist aber der einzige Kritik Punkt.
In Folge 19 und 20 gibt es für die Fans des Chinesischen Dramas auch noch eine Hommage an die C-Serie.

Alles in allem, kann ich die Serie wärmstens empfehlen. Wer gerne leichtgängige Liebesgeschichten mag, mit wenig Action dafür mit soliden Handlungssträngen, ist hier genau richtig.

Don't waste your time. Bad plot, boring, and dragging crime drama.

B&W Forest is a crime drama that starts with Ryan Ding, Ning Li, and Han Xue. There is nothing special about the drama; it is a typical gangster/police crime drama, and the policemen are useless throughout the entire drama and only make a difference in the last episode.

The drama was so boring and dragging. It would be much better to have 15-20 episodes instead of dragging on to 28 episodes. Ryan Ding acted well in emotional scenes; however, I didn't like that his character was so involved with the gang themselves instead of working with the police to clear his name and find his missing gun.

Ning Li's character was such a useless team captain by the book that I didn't like his portrait in this drama.

Synopsis: The story follows police officer Wen Bin Bin, who, with the support and assistance of team leader Xing Liang, embarks on a determined journey to find his lost service pistol. Despite numerous challenges, he remains steadfast in pursuing the truth and eventually captures the mastermind behind the scenes.

Mediocre melodrama story, but good cinematography of Macau.

Begin Again is a melodrama about young professionals who crossed paths in Macau and found inspiration for the meaning of life and love for each other.

The story is mediocre, and the ensemble's acting is the same. I love Elaine Zhong and Elvis Han, but the characters they portrayed in this drama were not that exciting. However, I love the cinematography of the city of Macau; it makes me want to visit it since I have not been there.

Synopsis: In the bustling city of Macau, where glittering high-rises and traditional districts co-exist in the same space, there's always something interesting taking place. Free-spirited art curator Chen Jia Hui has lived in Macau for years but lacks inspiration. Unexpectedly, she crosses paths with professional race car driver Han Jun Hao, who's come to Macau to participate in the International GT Cup. Although he's past his career prime, he's finally determined to win – or lose – on the track. Ambitious, career-minded Mai You Ge travels alone to Macau due to an urgent task from her company. Still, setbacks have her questioning whether she's made the right choices in life. She meets "Macau know-it-all" Xu Jun Le, whose carefree personality seems the opposite of hers. Still, his upbeat demeanor might be just a front. Will the magic of Macau help them all find their place in the world?

Pure Romance

This romance had a sense of warmth from the beginning. The story itself was almost like a slice of life. The male lead was completely delightful. The female lead more conflicted and very self-contained. The fact that they could have a believable romance took a bit of story development. However, the male lead's complete love for her won my heart. The female lead's devotion and sacrifice toward him was frustrating but under the circumstances she had lived, she was displaying her intense love for him. I love how the Korean family dramas even the romances have such a sense of family warmth and loyalty. Even in day-to-day relationships there's a willingness to forgive sincere apologies and maintain or restore situations and relationships. I most definitely will watch this again!

A great young love story with a side of small tweaks needed.

I thought this was amazing. I loved the emotional journey it took me on and how the characters developed. I truly connected with the story and the romance that unfolded.

However, I did have a few issues. There were some plot holes and minor production limitations.

For instance, I would have liked to better understand the relevance of the guys selling the fake drugs and how that tied into the story. I think I have an idea, but it felt like parts of that storyline were missing. the painting of the mural on their building and the friend making the documentary seems random and unfinished.

I also found the use of fireworks a little excessive, though that’s a small detail to critique.

Finally, my biggest concern was the lack of resolution with the father. By the end, I felt emotionally invested and wanted to see him face consequences or know if he was able to break away. The ending felt abrupt and left me without closure.

What in the Dafeng?

(Last review of a 2024 show) A man transmigrates from the modern world into a fantasy game where using modern techniques he unravels mysteries and solves cases. He goes from a bumbling, arrogant hot blooded doofus though with smarts to a powerful, super intelligent man with the love of/and for family, amazing friends, boss, sidekicks, and even a tactless princess. Though he appeared lucky, the dark side was always lurking around him and at the end of what we hope to be season one the dark evil took all that away from him in a very well written cliffhanger (there's a scene after the ending credits folks, don't miss it!), leaving everyone going what in the Dafeng?

Pros: I have only ever seen Dylan in a very poorly written modern drama, so wanted to see him in something with a good storyline and characterization. Glad I stuck around even when the beginning was driving me batty. This was one of the those few dramas where it actually got better as the episodes progressed. Dylan as XQA knew just how how to blend emotions and thoughts (albeit I still wished he didn't have to do the over dramatic ones), like comedy, intelligence, being one or two steps ahead of just about everyone but Lord Wei and of course the Supervisor. His love for his super extra family was evident. His best acting was in the final arc of Chuzhu city and the atrocities done there and then what happened with Mr. Zheng. The emotions of sadness, rage, injustice that he felt, just melted from the screen and you became him. You wanted revenge in the worst possible way and he got it. Very impressive.

My other favorite characters were LW as he did such a great job as a protagonist this time. I was used to him playing antagonists all the time so this was quite refreshing and he did a wonderful job as the surrogate father and boss to XQA. His death saddened me at the end but I hope he can come back to life in season 2 (again please let there be a season 2, with the same cast and not in 5 years)! The entire Xu family though could be very extra in the over dramatic sense, loved XQA very much and had his back as much as possible. The Scooby gang as I called his friends/sidekicks at the bureau, realm, and guardian places were the best. Those 4 guys especially were indispensable to him and they were a part of him as much as the realm sect folks were. I liked the supervisor as well. He saved people, didn't murder them and he was quite upset by what happened in the last arc and Mr. Zheng's torture and death. Even the monk in XQA was of great help.

I don't believe for one moment anything that came out of dark robe dude's aka XQA's biological father's (Luke, I am your father moment) mouth about the supervisor being the one who wanted the destiny inside XQA because if that was the case, he would have taken it for himself 12 years ago instead of the dark robe dude stealing it and implanting it into his own child while he himself killed hundreds of thousands and aligned with smaller villains (like the asswipe emperor, his brother, having a corrupt court) to play a constant game of chess with the supervisor. If he was such a good guy, he wouldn't have erased everyone's memories of XQA leaving him truly alone in the world (though apparently the supervisor knew since he was also the creator of the game in the real world). XQA figured it out and I don't think he will side with the evil monster just because of that and the secret of the destiny. For all that, he is a good antagonist and I hope he loses miserably in season 2.

Originally, I had thought that I was going to be very depressed when everyone forgot about XQA, but when looking from a writer's standpoint, it actually wasn't that bad. Sad yes, but it was part of what a cliffhanger ending is about. You leave parts unfinished to make sure people don't forget what they watched and want more. Just like the scene after the credits; it's to leave us wanting more and fast. But most loose ends were tied which is also rare in dramas unless they are to be continued.

Costumes, OSTs (especially the opening hip hop one, I never missed), sets, and fight scenes with magic were all great. My sincere hope for season 2 is that, XQA upon knowing the whole truth still doesn't team up with his bastard father, but sticks with the supervisor, everyone gets their memories back, bring back LW, and are able to fight the forces or force of evil together. That would be ideal. I guess we'll see if and when it happens.

Cons: I'm sure many are wondering why I didn't put FL in the pros and that's because I didn't like her very much (the character not the actress); I felt romance here was quite unnecessary. Thankfully, that genre wasn't all that important and we saw only bits and pieces of it. She did grow on me towards the end a bit but I think that part could have been just left alone. There were just too many moving pieces and things going on that didn't require her at all. Though I will say that the two kisses the characters had were well done.

Initially, I was thinking that my rating was going to be in the 8s somewhere because of how lackluster and slapstick it started and that's just not for me. Also many plot points were talked through instead of shown and it would have been better if we understood that through seeing it or not having it sped through like the whole duchess abduction thing and rescue; I literally had to rewatch it twice before I understood what happened. Also XQA becoming a silver gong was just explained and several missions were just thrown around through speech. Show us, don't just tell us! We're not reading the book, we're viewers. How the 4 Scooby gang guys were stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean somewhere and only reunited with XQA for a short time at the end. At least their experience was shown in form of a puppet play.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. What brought the score up to a 9 was when things turned serious and comedy landed properly and that entire ending arc with Dylan's wonderful portrayal. This is a show no one knew how it would do but boy did they show everyone. Season 2 is an absolute must with the same cast. Definitely one I'm glad I kept watching.

With breathtaking visuals and a tingle-inducing soundtrack, the Double leads you through a mesmerizing chess match where the pawn could very well be the player. Betrayal from someone who you love and trust has never felt more agonizing and cowardly, but through chance encounters and many ordeals we find justice and realize what true love actually looks like. This invigorating slow burn with long looks and stimulating conversation will not leave you feeling cold.

Every plot twist and iconic one-liner is carefully crafted to make an army of shivers crawl up your spine. The acting is so good that you will suddenly find yourself completely in tune with all the on-screen emotions and empathizing with some unexpected characters. Prepare to cry a river and shout in outrage. That's what I did - multiple times.
