can fridays just be everyday plz

williamest chemistry is so phenomenal literally have me giggling kicking my feet and all theyve done is breathe next to each other i need the next eps like a DRUG😫😫😫😫

from the acting, plot, pace, cinematography, production, bgm etc i am thoroughly enjoying watching every episode as it comes out. i love how the background music is used to elevate scenes instead of being added just for the sake of being added. also mentioned this before but i am just love love loving the chemistry between thame & po as well as the rest of the character dynamics aswell.

really looking forward to seeing what the next episodes have in store for us !!!!

This season was better than the first season

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I liked this season more than the first season.

In this season I liked the characters more and I also felt a lot more connected to them than in the first season. The games were also better and for me this season was more exciting to watch.

I really loved cho hyeon jus character and thought that she was such a badass.
I also liked seong gi huns character more in this season than in the first season.

What I also liked is the fact that some of the players finally fought back the masked people and that they nearly got to the control center.

One thing that pissed me off was that seong gi hun didn't figure out that the front man was player 001 and that they didn't figure out that the captain of the ship is also a traitor.

All in all, I was really satisfied with this season because for me it was an interesting, exciting and good watch.

has its moments

I Feel You Linger in the Air has a visually appealing setting and a promising premise of romance intertwined with time travel. The historical backdrop of 1920s Siam is beautifully portrayed, and the leads deliver good performances.

However, the series struggles with pacing, making it feel overly drawn out at times. While the uncut version provides additional depth, some scenes fail to contribute meaningfully to the story, leaving it uneven.

Though it has its moments, the series falls short of its potential, earning a 6.5/10 for its blend of charm and flaws.

Things I didn't like:
Jom's Lack of Communication: While it's understandable that Jom has endured significant trauma, his continued inability to communicate effectively, even in calmer moments, comes across as uncharacteristically unresponsive and diminishes his depth as a character.
Handling of Sensitive Topics: A series that includes depictions of sexual assault (SA) and rape will never achieve a perfect rating from me. These issues are deeply serious and are never justifiable, regardless of the narrative context.
Jom's Unmerited Privilege: Despite knowing little about him, other characters inexplicably grant Jom exceptional treatment, seemingly without justification. This creates an imbalance in the story that undermines realism and character development.

I liked:
Outstanding Music: A beautifully crafted soundtrack that perfectly enhanced the emotional depth of the series.
Unique Plot: A fresh and intriguing story blending traditional and modern elements.
Sweet Chemistry: The leads shared a heartfelt, genuine bond that felt truly authentic.
Story Depth: A narrative rich with meaning, offering both entertainment and reflection.

I really tried to push through this

Usually when a show has a huge fan base and high ratings. I've learned to exit stage left because I'm not about to argue with nobody about why they like the show or what makes it so special especially if I think it sucks. After all, I have several times in histrionics defended a lot of terrible shows due to my questionable but superior tastes and have fought for my life in those comment sections.

This show is awfully unwatchable.
Its not like it has a ghastly terrible plot. Afterall I've seen worse. I just finished a drama about a penguin and panther ffs. its not like it needs to be the matrix before i can enjoy it, and its not like this is not manageable. It has an easy enough plot, a good chunk of attractive actors and some noticeable names...err mike. But it had such a huge glaring problem I couldn't ignore. The acting is useless, nonsense and very rubbish. Plus the characters are quite boring.

Acting/Characters
My main problem with this show is everyone in this show. The acting is extremely stiff and for some reason there are a lot of closeups of actors that dont move their faces or always look mildly concerned whenever they try to convey emotions. I swear muenfah has had the same expressions on his face since this show started. Happy, sad, excited, angry...he looks the same. Teerak is supposed to be cute but it feels forced, like maybe its the height or how everytime he speaks it feels like there's cotton in his mouth.
Then there's this one Hia. I don't even know what he's been doing....I cant quite unpack exactly what kind of facial expressions I've seen him pull off in his attempt to act.

The show has a talent problem. It feels like an advertisement for new pretty actors for the company, rather than a show with a plot, storyline, and a villian. Even the issues with Oh felt like some caricature. I wasn't amused because the teerak I've been watching is not worth that kind of effort. Sorry.

Aggrieved Thoughts
The show just feels glittery fake handbag. Its good to look at subjectively. Its very pretty, bright and shiny after all. But the closer you look the beads and sequences are falling off, it has a lot of bald spots and its not worth the price. . and definitely not worth the hype.

If Pirates of the Caribbean had a baby with a C-drama. One of the best drama's of 2024!

The Story of Pearl Girl had me hooked from the first episode. I give a lot of credit to Zhao Lusi for learning to swim for this role because the under water shots were amazing. I'm not going to rip apart the CGI because I could really care less how the waves look or how realistic the sharks looked. The budget was used in the right places. Everything looked stunning and I give credit to all the set and costume designers for making this a truly beautiful drama to watch.

The story: ... This drama took risks! So a lot of people are hating on it. But I personally loved it. Duanwu's story grabbed me instantly but her tenacity and sincerity is what really made her character so likeable. Then the romance between her and Yan Zijing was a sweet addition. The show was definitely dark and did not sugarcoat anything but I found it refreshing. But it also wasn't so dark that it made me depressed and the characters still showed so much relatable emotions that kept it interesting. I think it was a good balance. Sometimes when dramas are too serious the characters are too cold and emotionless, but all the characters here did amazing at showing all sides of the human heart. I'll admit that I almost quit watching midway after what I like to call the "red wedding" episode. And it's because of this episode where we lost Shrimp that this drama doesn't get a 10/10. I'm still grieving! But I'm glad I came back and finished this drama because it was truly a great watch.

Lead characters: Duanwu started out as my favorite but YZ took that spot once their romance started. He was one of those male leads that is obviously pleasant looking but his looks didn't really strike me at first. But by the end of the drama I found him to be one of the most handsome and charming male leads. I give credit to the actor for that. I'm familiar with Liu Yuning's songs but his acting here was top notch. He gave life to this character. I particularly love YZ because although he is cold-hearted in his decision making and hell bent on revenge, he is not the typical robotic tsundere. He has a cheeky/playful side from the beginning which makes him more human and likeable.

Supporting characters: I didn't love Cu Shiju. She is beautiful but her acting was just okay, she wasn't evil enough to be a memorable antagonist so I didn't hate her either. Her ending was lackluster for all her efforts throughout the show. I actually loved the second male lead, which I usually don't care for. He was just adorable, sweet and earnest without being too pushy or annoying. Shrimp and the others grabbed my heart in the first half but Lady Shi Qui and the others in the second half took over that spot by the end.

The ending: I did not mind the ending. They set the precedence from the very beginning that this story world was cruel and no one was getting free lunch. We knew from the first few episodes that YZ was sick. I think that if they had showed him as a domesticated man in the end it would discredit his character. He was never going to be a loving husband and father. He was lucky enough to have found love in an unexpected place. And I'm glad they didn't show his death either because I didn't need to see it. The only alternate ending I would have liked to see was if DW had a baby with him and that baby could grow up and carry on the Yan family name and business as well.

Cherry Magic Thailand: A Dash of Thai Spice with a Whole Lot of Charm

When GMMTV announced a Thai adaptation of Cherry Magic starring Tay Tawan and New Thitipoom, my excitement shot through the roof. Having seen them in more dramatic and intense roles, I was thrilled to watch them step into a lighter, magical romance. And let me tell you, they didn’t disappoint.

Based on Toyota Yuu's manga Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!, this adaptation follows Achi (New), a thirty-year-old virgin who discovers the quirky ability to read minds through physical contact. Things take a turn when Achi accidentally uncovers his charming and flawless coworker Karan’s (Tay) secret: Karan has a major crush on him. What ensues is a heartfelt and whimsical journey as Achi learns to navigate his powers, his feelings, and the magic of love.

- A Thai Twist on a Beloved Tale
What makes this adaptation shine is its seamless integration of Thai culture. From the bustling cityscapes to the subtle nuances of workplace relationships, the writers smartly localised the story while staying true to the manga’s heart. These changes weren’t just for show—they added depth, making the story feel fresh and uniquely Thai.

The chemistry between Tay and New is undeniable. Tay, as Karan, is a revelation with his playful inner monologues and pitch-perfect comedic timing. New, as the reserved and awkward Achi, brings just the right mix of campy charm and emotional vulnerability. Together, they create a relationship that’s both hilarious and deeply touching.

The supporting cast also deserves a round of applause. Junior and Mark, as the secondary couple Jinta and Min, were a delightful addition, and their expanded storyline added layers to the narrative. Even Sing and Jan, as Rock and Pai, offered an intriguing subplot that left me wanting more.

- Visuals and Vibes
From the vibrant cityscapes to the meticulous attention to detail in the workplace setting, the series is a visual treat. The soundtrack is the cherry on top, perfectly capturing the whimsical yet emotional tone of the story.

- Heartfelt Themes, Relatable Magic
At its core, Cherry Magic Thailand is about personal growth, empathy, and the beauty of connection. Achi’s journey of self-discovery and Karan’s unwavering support are beautifully portrayed, showing how love can flourish even in the most unexpected circumstances.

- A Few Quirks but Loads of Heart
While the series is impressive, it’s not without its hiccups. Minor continuity issues—like Mark’s hair color changes—could distract eagle-eyed viewers, and some moments felt a bit rushed. Still, these quirks are overshadowed by the heartfelt storytelling and stellar performances.

Final Thoughts
Cherry Magic Thailand is a standout adaptation that blends magical realism with authentic cultural flair. Whether you’re a fan of the original or new to the world of Cherry Magic, this series will leave you smiling, laughing, and maybe even shedding a tear or two.

It’s more than just a rom-com—it’s a testament to the transformative power of love, friendship, and a little magic. So, grab your popcorn and let Tay and New whisk you away into a world where even the ordinary can become extraordinary.

And with that, may we all find a little magic in the everyday.

Gripping

Uh, this was gripping and had me at the edge of my seat, especially in the early and late episodes. I found this consistently pretty cool and intriguing—minus episode 15… this one I didn’t like to be honest. But I really enjoyed the dynamics between Shen Yi and Du Cheng and how they slowly started trusting and understanding each other! Overall, really good and I’ll have to watch season 2 in the future!🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️

basically everything but the kitchen sink

I tried to put the least amount of spoilers (there are still some) for the people who are looking to read the reviews before watching.

Probably one of the best dramas to come out 2024. It was consistent with cliff-hangers and constantly had you at the edge imo. It was also one of the more spicier dramas to come out this year.
In terms of acting YYS and CSB both did really well and had the craziest chemistry, and I'll be honest when I first saw this came out on Netflix I wasn't even planning on watching it but I got bored and saw the first two episodes and was immediately hooked because of the "dark romance" which isn't usual of kdrama and because of their chemistry which I really was NOT expecting at all. I will say though YYS stood out a lot more in this drama, he portrayed real range and nuance, to where I forgot I was watching him act which is truly a high compliment. He showcased raw emotion and you can just see how much work and thought he put into his character even from the BTS. As for CSB, she learned a whole language for this role and that's real dedication. I do think at times she was a little too expressionless, but to be fair that was most likely a character choice given her trauma and her backstory.

YYS and CSB's chemistry was crazy. I do act in theater so I know how close we get as a cast especially with your specific scene partner and so I can say that their chemistry is genuinely one of a kind on and off screen which is what I think made this drama so good. They both clearly put a lot of work into creating a good rapport off screen to where it translated so well on screen. I would say in terms of intimacy even though it was 13+ or 15+ it was pretty heavy for kdrama; I do wish they would've milked the mole on her leg bit, but I guess that could've become 18+ real fast so perhaps they couldn't go too far with that.

Now onto the plot. Was it ridiculous at times? Yes, but overall I'd say it was solid. It was definitely something new and fresh tied in with old cliches but it was done well. Even if there were a good amount of cliches--like that first kiss haha--it was balanced with a lot of newer lines and ideas so it never felt too chummy. I think the pacing was probably the best by far until ep 12 which was rushed but I'll forgive it given how consistent they were with having us on cliff hangers every week. I think the wait was probably what added to the fun of this drama, but this is definitely a rewatchable/bingeable drama as well. I do wish HJ wasn't constantly getting kidnapped! But if you're looking for basically every kdrama trope in one drama, this is it. I mean we had everything except amnesia (THANK GOD).

A lot of people didn't like the finale...I too felt like it was so different than the rest of the drama it almost felt like a whole new drama, but it came back around 20 min till the end so don't let all the chaos about 12 deter you from watching. This is pretty typical though for dramas, they'll be super good and then the ending will kind of knock it down a notch, I suppose that's how you know the writers and everyone are human though.

ALSO I will address it, the last episode does have a mistranslation where they inserted a reference to real life events, do your own research is what I will say, but in English it's not translated properly which Netflix is notorious for. I truly wish they didn't even insert this scene in the drama, I don't think it was necessary and kdrama is fictional and real life is real life, I don't know why they felt the need to write it in.

All in all I'm giving it a 9.5/10 overall. It was fun waiting every week and now I'm sad...lol

Is there pain that is at the same time unbearable and subtle?

Oh what can I tell about this drama except that it is fully exhausting the meaning of the word "subtle". It is almost as if its purpose is to establish tempo of dull pain with each episode maintaining the intensity just right... And by the end of the drama you do not feel easier or burden lifting. You still feel pressure that makes you realize you have been holding your breath. And after you release it... You still feel something inside you ache.

Everything in this drama feels heavy with meaning but all is said in little words.

Han Dong Jin on one hand seems predictable and flat, but on the other so thick and comforting. A partner we should choose but do not choose. False expectation of masculinity. The actor did a marvelous job.

As for Sim U Ju, I love Biblee, anyone knows it. She seemed so different here. She almost has not smiled at all. I did not relate to her character and thought the chemistry with the lead was not as strong as it could have been. But perhaps her intensity was lowered due to demands of overall vibe of the drama, which was never dramatic or too much.

The OST absolutely shattered my heart into pieces. Roy Kim, do I say thank you, you bastard? Absolute stand out and perfect accompaniment.

If you liked the melancholy and "background noise" grey vibe of My Mister, you will definitely love this one.

Ahh, I hate how much I can feel it still.

Thanks, for reading.

Such a emotional masterpiece!!

Mr.Plankton changed my life.

The bad taste still on my lips because life can be full of crap and hae jo of all people deserved to live, to have everything that life has stolen from him.

This drama is so well written, the characters emotions, fears and joys, everything so raw and truthful, wich make you fell right there between the story. I'm so sad that I didn't watched it before, especially because I was afraid of suffering with grief of a person who doesn't even existe but...

I could never forget you 🍀🪼.

Cute and pleasant but nothing that blew me away

I watched this show and read the manga in high school and decided to rewatch it recently, 7 years later as I’m in my twenties. I loved the manga and I liked the drama upon my first time watching it. However, my second time watching it I had mixed feelings.

The friendship between the three main characters felt real and was probably the best thing about the drama. I also enjoyed watching Rinko grapple with her career and find her way through her identity as a 30 year old woman in Tokyo. Her struggles with finding her creative footing as a screenwriter felt very relatable. There are repeated connections/ comparisons to Sex and the City and I definitely felt the similarities in those aspects of the show.

Now for the part I didn’t love — the relationship dynamic between Rinko and Key. Using Sex and the City as a frame of reference, Key would be the “Mr. Big” to Rinko’s “Carrie Bradshaw”. In Sex and the City, you can see why Carrie keeps going after Big even though he’s not good for her — there’s undeniable chemistry between them from the first episode and this constant “will they won’t they” push and pull dynamic. So even as Carrie participates in self destructive behavior and abandons relationships in pursuit of Big, you can understand her and empathize to some degree. With Key and Rinko, it just feels like they just argue and randomly run into each other at convenient plot-orchestrated times. On top of that, it’s very clear they’re inherently incompatible. Even as the other characters remark that there’s chemistry between them, I found myself thinking “what chemistry?? Every interaction between them feels platonic and inorganic!!” Don’t get me wrong, I love Sakaguchi Kentaro and I came into the rewatch expecting to root for his character. However, as much as the writers try to pull us in with the not so subtle stolen glances and “what if” debates between them, I’m still not convinced. Even the scene where they slept together feels weirdly attraction-less and robotic. I’m usually a fan of the love-hate relationship trope, but their relationship dynamic lacked the spark of romantic passion that usually makes the trope so compelling when done right. With Rinko’s other romantic interests (Okuda and Hayasaka) you can at least see the romance between them. By the end of the show, I found myself very uninvested in Key/Rinko and rooting more for Rinko/Hayasaka. The way Key and Rinko’s relationship was written made it very hard to stay interested in it or even believe it.

Overall, it was cute with the friendships and career plot but disappointing on the romantic lead front.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

I was so shocked to see such young actors and actresses acting so good. A thing that I noticed was that every scene was such on point. These people acted so amazing they literally made me feel every single emotion that the characters were feeling and that is not an easy thing to do. This series will forever live in my heart it was so heartwarming and at the same time showed realistic things like what's it's like to be scared of people to know that you're in a homosexual relationship or scared to tell your parents even friends. I love this series and will always appreciate it (sorry if they're some mistakes English is not my first language)
