Nepotism and unlikeability make this unwatchable for me
I usually am very generous for my dramas, giving at least a good four episode try before passing judgement. However, this, I cannot do. The story is written such that there can be no sympathy for the main girl who is likely the daughter of the director, and thus benefits from all her "serendipitous" events of nepotism, whilst passing critical judgement on her coworkers when she does not know the field, is woefully clumsy and unapologetic when performing a career-ending faux pas disclosing confidential information, and yet slipping by unscathed due to her privilege as she can just slip into daddy's office and benefit from knowing his little secrets. Unless a severe character change is in process (which I highly doubt) , this drama is only serves to sugar coat that nepotism is acceptable for those who suffered (who hasn't?) in their lifetimes or are conventionally cute or whatnot. To echo the other reviewer, the side character stereotypes are disappointing with an exaggerated "metrosexual" agent who has no other personality traits besides materialism and an "ahjumma" agent who is lusting for management. Typical and not appropriate. I had high hopes and was sad to waste more than 3 hours tonight. Yes, 3 hours, as I had to pause multiple times due to how boring this episode was// stopping to rant at my significant other at how trash this show was.Considerați utilă această recenzie?

Cringe...
Oof...So, my first ever review, and I feel like I just gotta put down concerns regarding this one because I was excited advice.
Story -
Paper-thin at the moment honestly. Handsome hard-working Kim is devastated by a love that will not be returned so at the advice of his friends, he looks for someone to help him take his mind off his lost love. That someone turns out to be looking for the perfect submissive for him at a random club instead of you know, using his resources to find someone who specializes in submission and is actually looking for an available dominant.
On Kim's flame, babes at least he put an end to it, didn't keep stringing you along on false hope and we all know you aren't the type to be a home wrecker if that other couple is truly happy together... RIGHT!? (I don't know this I only hope he's not that type coz I like him!)
On Kim's choice the have sex with this rando, I can understand that Kim is devastated about losing a love he was so committed to, I understand that desperate desire to really feel something, other than the heartache you are feeling. Heck, it's even possible that you are indeed a masochist submissive and just hadn't gotten a chance to explore that side of yourself so when you met a guy who said he would help you forget you got a little reckless and thought hey I'll try anything once! Turns out you kinda liked it even!
On Kamol's story, which is what? I'm a gangster Dominant sadist desperately searching for the one true submissive love for me and I have a crazy woman who is in love with me so I sleep with a new man every night so she might just take a hint? Yeah, I hope his story develops more because that's pretty weak.
Acting/Cast
What I loved: Kim!
Played by the lovely Ton, this character works well for him, he is very beautiful from many angles, the way he speaks is nice, he's not awkward, and his acting is very good for doing something so difficult as experiencing submission for the first time. His cries from pain mixed with pleasure were good, and his expressions were right, not the best kisser, but I have a feeling that's because he's not got a very good partner and there is only so much he can do when he is submissive. He has a beautiful body, not skin and bones, a nice chest and arms a real beauty all around and he looks strong enough to handle himself but also could need help without coming off as a damsel in distress! His acting is good and he's doing his best with what he has.
What I did not like: Kamol...
This is NOT the role for Yoon, I have seen him in several things and I was worried when I found out he was to be playing this role and my worries were very justified so far. This is not the character from him, he couldn't be further from being the right pick. He has such a soft gentle youthful baby face. The only thing he has going for him in this role is his height. His tone when he's trying to be indifferent and cruel during the mafia scenes just doesn't sound right, he's not intimidating at all, he does not command a room, and he doesn't look like he's the boss of anything. Some of his bodyguards are scarier than him.
The faces he was pulling during the SandM scene were weird and awkward. He is so out of place it's hard to watch honestly, like watching a baby trying to run before it can even walk awkwardly. Yoon is great at being soft and caring and sweet, which we see a glimpse of in the aftercare scene (BIG kudos to the production team for including this) I only hope that as the show progresses he becomes more comfortable and has a breakthrough with portraying this character but i won't hold my breath.
The kiss:
This is a VERY adult topic, SandM I mean, and for it to be a focus in the story then you kinda have to commit to a certain level of intimacy and sexy lustfulness and that kiss... Teenagers go harder. Like what a massive letdown, it should have been intense and lewd not... whatever that was. Guys, these are adult men looking for a hookup at a club, it's 2022, Zee and Nunew went harder in Cutie Pie for goodness sake! Pull yourselves together!
Music:
What music?
Rewatch value:
I have cringed enough, but would watch just Kim and the girls he works with coz they are a hoot!
Overall:
I'm not dropping it yet, I have hope that things may get better and that they were trying to ease people into it in this first episode, coz honestly who has heard of a sex scene of episode 1!? Wild I know!

Truly want to complete watching the drama just for Peter Sheng.
The story is interesting. I am a fan of the male lead Peter Sheng and was all set to enjoy a piece of great work. Sadly, the actors were all disjointed as if they did not review their script nor did they understand their character parts. They seem to be in their own micro world and not acting with each other. The directing did not help either. The actors also seem to have mental changes with each screen change. For example, the crown prince at first screen had some noble air in the palace but turned into a jiang-hu thug during the academy screens. In one scene as he runs for his life, he bends over his knees in total exhaustion; as he straightened his back, he stands upright as if exhaustion did not exist a second before. The male lead's personality fluctuated through different scenes such that I can not pin his true character; is he cold elegance or young boyish or shy gentle? Two side characters joined the school the same time the main characters did under the approval of the elder as having a "good heart and character" turns out to be school bullies leading a group of followers in the next scene. [My confused self: wait a minute, aren't they new students? How did they become seniors with minions and power? What happened to the two sweet innocent like boys at the entry exam?] As a Peter Sheng fan, I believe his acting could only be as stable as he could musters under the destructive guidance of the director. There are also some flaws with film editing. I can only imagine a "could be" hit drama if only it was under better directing and editing.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Why do we use it?
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
Where does it come from?
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.
Where can I get some?
There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn't anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.

Not a bad watch
My first foray into Thai BL and I don’t think it that bad. Haven’t even started the Sky-Prapai section so I can’t speak to that. I just want to say for pure entertainment value, it is a good watch. I didn’t think about morality or feminism. Initial thoughts were positive, I even thought Payu a good influence on Rain as he advocates responsibility and being true to oneself. Payu is commendable as he helps strangers in need, is good to his juniors and seems to be both smart and charming. He looks to be the complete package. I’m watching with English subs so I don’t know if certain things were lost in translation but I find it simply entertaining. I can see why some people are sensitive to certain aspects of the series but speaking for just myself, I really wasn’t looking for a social commentary or anything serious & I didn’t look deeply into each character.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
Ok this needs to be at least 500 characters for me to submit, so here's hoping I can run it down with randomness.
My mother and I are now using the ViKi app to stream titles, and even though I can't understand the language (but I am slowly learning some mandarin) I love it.
I have now clue what my character count is at now, but it still won't let me post.
Ok, I just checked and of ^^^ I'm at 429.
I first became interested in this because of George Hu, everything else I've seen him in I've loved even when they were long and my brain wanted me to stop with the subtitles for a while. Then I leaned who else is on it and am now even more interested in watching it. So any help in finding it is appreciated.

This One’s Going to Be Hard!
So I just started and am only on Episode One but I feel the need to write a review based on my initial thoughts and feelings. I will update once I’m finished.I cannot convey how much this drama is already breaking my heart. They draw you in to the characters pretty much from the start. I think I have cried 3-4 times already and I am only half way through the first episode. You can feel the deep love the 2 main characters had for each other and you can feel the deep longing the FL has for her soul mate. I am even crying while writing this. I don’t know if my heart can take this but it seems like such a beautiful story that I feel the need to see it through. I am extremely picky when it comes to dramas and usually can’t take much or any angst. This one definitely has heartbreaking angst but I am going to power through. I am hoping to see a healing ending especially for the FL because she deserves it. I usually only watch if I know it’s for sure a happy ending but this one I honestly don’t know what to expect this one. Let’s hope her heart can heal.
Wish me luck,

Legal drama with no actual court drama!
As someone who likes legal dramas, I was looking forward to a show with some critiques on marriage, divorce, and the whole female perspective especially in a society like Korea. I was looking for riveting high-class court drama and theatrics that would leave me thinking about how fair or unfair the justice system is. But unfortunately, this is not the show. The cases the lawyers deal with are not presented in any dramatic legal way that is believable. At some point, the cases were also becoming a bit monotonous with the stories about mistresses, cheating, and petty fights. There are so many facets and issues that divorce cases have. There are some interesting topics like the guilt of working mothers and how women are often blamed for being bad mothers even when they excel in other areas of their lives.
I also dislike how even though it's a show that's framed as having strong female characters, both characters have men panting and chasing after them and saving them or "smoothing the path" for them. I think this is so unnecessary.

The main girl is really cute, you will love her hair, and she also has a strong character... she likes one cute intelligent guy ( apparently this guy also likes her but he is too shy) and there is another popular cute guy that is always bothering her, but i think he also likes her.. I just watched the first episodes bc i cant watch anymore sites to watch with eng subs.. but i have spoiled myself with the ost clip at the beggining and at the end.. and well i just can´t wait!! =) Please help support or request at viki so we can have more eng subs... Good in every way
I will compliment, Mr. Man is handsome every frame every time he appears I just want to look at it for a long time without missing a single moment, my standard man, the film story director the script and most importantly for me Man's author, Ben has a beautiful talent, even though I love Man, I'm only comfortable with ManBen, Ben even though his character is weak or crying but it doesn't cause discomfort I cry very easily because there are too many emotions I like masculine male couples Ben is still masculine and attractive Ma The ending is what I like more about Man, hope Capricorn and Virgo get alongConsiderați utilă această recenzie?

Undecided after 5 episodes.
So far it's slow to start and I can't decide if I like the ML character or not. He can be cute, but mostly it seems like he has no idea what he's doing except to act. Everything is is completely foreign. Answer a question? Foreign. Talk to a coworker? Foreign. It just seems very odd and I haven't connected with him as a character yet.I do like the FL already though, even though she's oblivious to when men come on to her. She's just like "Oh. Well. That's nice. Hope we meet again someday! Bye!"
Now that I'm utterly confused, we'll see how the next 5 episodes go. I'm hoping for a bit more progression in the story.

Too Linear Timeline Prefix
K-Drama with a too linear timeline prefix, a boring storyline, because unlike the usual K-Drama storyline that often alternates flash back and future, giving a sense of an interesting plot twist.Royal Loader (Imposible Heir) is a 2024 K-Drama that tells the story of a power struggle among the heirs of a Korean conglomerate. The drama stars Lee Jae Wook, Lee Jun Young and Hong Suzu as the main leads, who are involved in a love triangle and a scheme to take over the company. The drama is directed by Min Yeon Hong and written by Choi Won.
The drama follows the life of Kang In Ha (Lee Jun Young), an illegitimate son of the chairman of Kang Oh Group, who leaves his poverty behind and joins forces with his childhood friend Han Tae Oh (Lee Jae Wook), they work together to claim Kang In Ha's rightful place at the top of society. Together, they plan to overthrow the other candidates for the throne, including Kang In Joo (Han Sang Jin), the chairman's first son and In Ha's half-brother. However, their ambition is challenged by Na Hye Won (Hong Suzu), a woman with a troubled past who has her own agenda.
The drama is a stereotypes story that explores the themes of class conflict, power struggle, tough past, conglomerate, scheme, ambition, betrayal and suspense. It also contrasts the lives of the 'golden spoon' and the 'dirt spoon', showing how they clash and cooperate in their pursuit of success. The drama has received positive reviews from critics and viewers alike, who praised its gripping plot, stellar cast, high production value and realistic portrayal of the dark side of society.
The drama has some flaws, however. One of them is the too linear timeline that makes the story predictable and less exciting. Unlike other K-Dramas that often use flashbacks and flashforwards to create plot twists and suspense, Royal Loader (Imposible Heir) sticks to a chronological order that reveals everything upfront. This makes the viewers lose interest and curiosity as they already know what will happen next. Another flaw is the boring storyline that relies on clichés and stereotypes. The drama uses many tropes that are common in K-Dramas, such as the illegitimate child, the chaebol family feud, the love triangle, the childhood friends turned enemies, etc. These tropes make the drama lack originality and creativity, as they have been seen before in many other dramas.
So, Royal Loader (Imposible Heir) is a K-Drama that has its strengths and weaknesses. It is a well-made drama that showcases the talents of its cast and crew, but it also suffers from a lackluster plot that fails to surprise and impress.
It is a drama that can be enjoyed by fans of thrillers and business dramas, but it may not appeal to those who are looking for something fresh and innovative.

Background music.
The very very loud Spanish guitar in the background is a total distraction. It is impossible to enjoy the series. I cannot watch another 10 episodes while listening to that guitar. Background music should be just that. It should not be overwhelming and dominating. The accordion and the piano are bad enough but the Spanish guitar is obnoxious. You should not even notice the background music. Not unless you are really listening for it. The title of the series should have been “Spanish guitar“.Considerați utilă această recenzie?
