NOT MY CUP of TEA

This drama is way too serious.

Give me a break, I only watch stuff to be entertained not to see the male lover murder his female partner and repeat ad nauseum via reincarnation. *Rolls eyes* Journey of Chongzi, I'm looking at ya!

Light-hearted stuff like The Melee Mage, and Fights Break Sphere (2023) I highly approve. Depressing, sad, overly melodramatic crap like Fights Break Sphere (2018), The King's Avatar, The Longest Promise, and The Last Immortal can all go to hell!

The reason I'm even giving this 3 stars instead of 1 because kudos it's Tencent visual effects magic.

The other thing I didn't like the FL lead is too strong, the story is SOLELY about her. Here the ML is just her accessory! I hate this kind of crap. BUT if we look at Princess Agents, the story was very much about the ML as much as the FL. Zhao Liying is the only female lead I highly approve for female-centric dramas because her TV series always give importance to the ML as well! Zhao Lusi and co can all go to hell. I swear I will never watch another Xiao Zhan nor Zhao Lusi drama ever again...

Disastrous

Absolutely disappointed after all the wait. I was thinking did we need a season 2 if this is what we get. It should be a better season. So many misunderstandings thrown into it. A lot of negative issues too. They’re supposed to have matured too. I don’t understand the issue with the FL. She loves ML but bickers with him in every single scene.i have been tempted to drop but just kept going since there isn’t anything for me to watch. Such a waste of actors and their talent. The story all jumbled up and confusing, well on second thought I’m not confused. The actors are. They seem to be missing out on the obvious conspiracies thinking the audience would buy them. I’m at 3/4 of the episodes and I still don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. The actress seem to have lost senses. The FL acts so obvious whilst planning to infiltrate and not be caught. I’m 3/4 of the drama and I still don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Not like the others

In first sword of wu dang, the show was not like the other shows like heavenly sword and dragon slaying sabre or the legend of the condor heroes or even the romance of the condor heroes. It showed an adventure like the others but it does not show growth in martial arts skills and the female lead(the wife of the male lead) seems powerless thus lacking the duo fighting scenes which i loved to watch like the others. I loved the previous shows due to the growth in feelings of the adventure where misunderstandings and obstacles obstructed their relationships while helping each other and slowing grow their feelings for one another.

Typical Cliche scenario

I tend to give dramas a chance (One episode) then decide to watch or drop it ... unfortunately "A Romance of the Little Forest"
didn't pass that chance; this story isn't for me

<< through the whole 1st Ep I was checking how many minutes left .. and that's not a good thing!
I gave it another chance for Esther and watched the 2nd episode .. skipped some parts; didn't grab my attention!

Don't hate me for being critical!
In my opinion It's a cheesy story,, the Idea of approaching someone who called U idiot and rejected you is annoying by itself + the cringe cuteness of Yu Meiren's character is annoying .. seriously that can't be the personality of someone with a PhD certificate!
I accepted her cuteness as XLH in CLJ because it really suited the role and didn't feel cringe, it was normal.. in fact I liked her but NOT in this role!

Also the ML has no Charisma around him IDK what she saw in him he looks like a boring geek ( i am talking about the character!) + he is so full of himself ... talking like he could save the world! ugh

if they end up together (which I know they would) it will be the stupidest thing , generally speaking.. she should have respect for herself and just move-on find someone better!

I feel that it'll be the Typical Cliche scenario, she tries to take revenge by fooling him to fall for her; then ends up falling for him herself ... if you are into these kind of plots, give it a chance and judge for yourself!

This plot isn't entertaining for me .. I'm sick of this kind of stupid revenge .. reminded me of a trashy thai drama I regret watching .. however I'm sure this will be better than that one but not for me ..

Search: WWW is definitely one of the dramas that drew me to watch as I came across a few spoilers of scenes from a few episodes. Starting off with the production or cinematography of it, it is definitely unique and focuses on visually portraying the emotions of the characters and the vibes coming from the scene. This drama is a big user of those long shots of the characters from different angles and the use of light, but it all adds to the unique visual of how this drama was shot and put together. Visually, it is very aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes.
Personally, I am big fan of the plot as well. The fact that the main focus of the drama is not necessarily a romantic relationship between Park Morgan and Bae TaeMi (although, I love the scenes of them together), but actually the three women : Bae TaeMi, Scarlett, and Song Gayeong, is very refreshing and far more interesting in my opinion. The fact that it stars three strong, powerful women as the leads sends a strong message as well as adds a different dynamic to the drama. If there is one character I would like to see more developed, it would be Gayeong (Unicon). We have a glimpse of what kind of pressure she's under, but I think the question would be whether she is defined by those pressures and the people giving them to her or if she will be able to rise above and come out on top.
I mentioned before that the romantic relationship with Tae Mi is not the main focus of the plot from what I can gather after watching the first three episodes. Nevertheless, their plot is no less interesting and unique from the start. It does make you wonder more about the background of Park Morgan, but that might be revealed later on. Anyways, I've been a big fan of the actor Jang Kiyoung for awhile, so I kept my eye on this drama to see where it might lead. I am not disappointed with this drama yet and I'm looking forward to see where it is headed.

Drama promotes human trafficking

After the first two episodes, the ML has proven to be a stalkersince he went snooping around the FL's house, thief for taking and breaking into her cellphone, and human trafficker. They actually show him threatening the FL to force her to travel across districts with him so she can please another businessman and he confiscates her luggage, money, and ID so she cannot run off. Under no circumstances is that okay and it is irresponsible to even suggest that this is even the slightest bit endearing.

The FL has already shown that she is willing to retire and disappear at the slightest inconvenience so I don't believe any of the reasons for her to stay and keep being coerced. The third episode did not end with him in handcuffs and so I'm off this ride.

How i like SIGs acting game!!!

From 1 episode i tho that this will something boring ...and yeah ain't interesting but from 2nd all jus started ...)) I like! I watched before few works with Seo InGuk and found pretty well his game but here on 3 episode ...it's amazing guys!!! I don't find words but he really talented! How he play different roles ! His mimic , how he feel his characters and trying "live them while he play "... I enjoy to see him and his game ( i can't concentrate only on movie character without dont notice / analyze actors game )) so i really enjoy to see him ...and so sorry about his character he play , seems that a good guy even he born in rich family his soul is good. Was surprised to see him with Oh Dae Hwan! Oh this man also cool , but his face hm ..i can't understand when he really funny or gonna fight u hahaha he has "special face mask " hahaha well i like hope this will interesting.

Do not waist youre time!!!

I watched the first episode of this drama but I just could not get interested. The filming is very dark in the beginning and maybe something is lost in the translation--I’m not sure. It seems okay but something is a little off. I'm not a fan of this drama. I didn't like the writing. The actor who played the prince was on point with his acting, but the actress who played the queen her acting is pedestrian at best. I do not why she still found employment that is how bad she is at acting. ...If you wanna lose your time with a boring, unrealistic and super predictable drama. This one is for you.
I love historical dramas I guess I’ll have to try again later.

After King killed her father she fall for him

In whole drama it was clear that king order FL father to be killed but will never once our FL will blame him for her fathers death which was clearly was a choice between his criminal mother and innocent father in law
i already know she is going to be His majesty's woman no matter whT he does he fail to protect his first wife he killed her father himself and how she was able love that man no matter what his circumstances
how a daughter can understand her fathers killer,
You can watch how Ha Ji Won played same dilemma when she was clearly in love with Emperor but decided to kill him for her fathers revenge

Dropped after 3 episodes. I could not stand the manipulative FL who chases around a guy, like the entitled spoiled brat that she is. I get it that it that she's assertive because that's how successful CEOs should be, but this is not an excuse for someone to continually harass another, especially if that said object of affection has explicitly said he’s not interested. And when she doesn’t get her way, turns around and does exactly what she was asked not to do, and exposes the debt owed to her to the ML’s family, dangling it overhead like a carrot. If that’s not a veiled threat, then I don’t what that is.

Then am I supposed to suddenly believe that, because he finds out that he has known her as a child, that the ML changes his mind suddenly and agrees to said marriage proposal, after lecturing the FL about said morals and principles about not exchanging love for money? I think there’s a word for that…hy…hypo…crite…
Or as his mother said, prostitution.

I also have had enough of those remarks in the first few episodes about how girls needing to get married and have a child to be really considered as a full-fledged woman. Not even Gong Jun's pretty handsome face will convince me to sit through a drama that spouts such outdated sexist ideologies. Plus, I heard later things that happened in the show that did not make a good case for me to continue this without me bursting a blood vessel.

Formulaic with weird paedophilic groomy vibes

When I saw the synopsis for this I knew it was going to be a teen drama replete with unrealistic behaviours and a female ingenue character that bordered on vacuous. I still gave it a go because I found out the lead was none other than Zhao Lu Si from 'Who Rules the World'. However, even having her as the protagonist couldn't keep me on.

Firstly, I have no idea why CDramas, or Chinese productions in general, always edit the characters' voices. Women always end up sounding like a chipmunk. Is that sexy? It's certainly not mature. Definitely not natural. Zhao Lu Si's lovely timbre in 'Who Rules the World' is reduced to a squirrel's that sounds like they have a perpetual cold in 'Hidden Love'.

Secondly, there is no life to Sang Zhi at all except when she decides to say or do something manipulative; if she puts half the energy she has in those moments into her studies, it might seem interesting. As it was, a childish, spoilt younger sister protag who has a crush on an older brother's friend and doesn't focus on her own education, dreams and ambitions was too formulaic and mundane a teen drama. Is Jia Xu the only friend Sang Yan has? Is he the only guy she's ever met and known all her teenage life? Will he be the only one there is? Surely, realistically not. And using an actress that's younger than the fourteen Sang Zhi was meant to be, when she first meets Jia Xu, didn't help with the whole groomy vibes too.

Dropped it after first episode as couldn't gel with the characters and didn't care enough to see their journey. Hidden Love did not utilise all of Zhao Lu Si's talents, not even a tenth of it. Disappointing. Only nice things to note were the food!
