Hey there!
If you’ve landed here, it means one of my reviews piqued your interest, and you’re curious about what else I’m watching. First off, thank you! It’s an honor to connect with someone who shares my exquisite taste in drama.
Here’s a sneak peek into my drama preferences:
- No romance? Not watching.
- No good-looking actors? Not watching.
- If the actress’s performance makes me feel like I deserve an Oscar, guess what? Not watching.
My drama addiction began with the classic Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. That show was my gateway drug, and I fell down the rabbit hole of K-dramas. But then, a plot twist happened—I dipped my toes into Chinese dramas. Initially, I hated it (blame it on my high K-drama standards), but now? I’m like a Stockholm Syndrome case but with Chinese dramas. I haven't looked back since!
My Weakness: Older man/younger woman age gap (not sure if it’s a daddy issue—saving that for my therapist). If you’re not into this trope, you might be in the wrong profile. Like Isabel LaRosa sings:
"Think I need someone older
Just a little bit colder
Takes the weight off your shoulders
Think I need someone older"
Mature, stoic men are my kryptonite. While they’re rare gems among Chinese actors, the younger ones do bring that vibe sometimes.
I pen down reviews for dramas I either absolutely adore or utterly despise. I’m not obsessed with any particular actor or actress anymore. I learned the hard way that even the best actors can’t save a drama with a terrible script, bad production, and horrid directing. So now, it’s all about quality dramas with all my favorite elements.
Alright, enough about me. Now, go find your next drama obsession!
