11/04/22: i am no longer active here for indeterminate time. have fun and best regards! // I enjoy watching some dramas. There are probably hundreds of films and dramas that I have watched, but the reviews I leave here here will reflect only those I have recently completed and those that I can still remember. The earliest series that I watched were Chu Liuxiang (Adam Cheng) and Journey to the West (Zhang Jinlai or Liu Xiao Lin tong) back in the mid 80s. Growing up, watching martial arts drama series was one of my favorite hobbies. Over time, I've branched out from the wuxia genre to romance, action thriller, comedy, period/historical, etc. I've also branched out from CDrama and Cfilms to other cultures. I tend to prefer the theatrical version than the drama series version of other cultures. I believe that through some good quality dramas, we can learn and re-enforce certain positive personal and social values. Good quality series can also enrich/widen/stir one's imaginations and life in positive ways. Apart from that, dramas can sometimes act as a medium to share unique stuffs from different cultures.
