The first episode will already hit you hard. You will be introduced to a very blinding start (trigger warning: flashing colors) and a wacky plot. The series can be a bit overwhelming for some audience. But if you manage to watch the first episode or the first part of the first episode, you should watch the whole series! It is worth it! I looked forward every Tuesday just to watch the new episodes. YYY never fails to cheer me up when I have a bad week.

YYY is 80% filled with crack moments. If you have a weird sense of humor like me, you would most likely enjoy the series. Not only crack, there are some angsty moments too. YYY proves that a series does not always need to have intimate scenes and too much angsty moments. A series can also be enjoyable by having funny scenes. I applaud the directors for including life lessons that most BL series would not include (e.g. consensual sexual acts). This very reason supports why one should try to watch YYY.

Initially, I watched this because of Pun (the actor is also in My Engineer!). However, the other casts are interesting and lovable and they definitely caught my eye. I don't think there is a character that is annoying or leaves a bad impression, in my opinion. If you have some bad thoughts about certain characters, just watch till the end. Your bad opinions of the characters would most likely change.

Would I rewatch YYY? Definitely, without a doubt. The series is not too long and draggy. Hence it is perfect if you have free time and you feel like watching something that is light-hearted. Can't wait for the second season!

The Living Dead is one of the side stories of The Untamed. In this movie, we get to see one of the adventures of Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui. The story in this movie is not heavily based on The Untamed but the events in this movie take place after The Untamed. Hence, it is best to watch The Untamed first and then The Living Dead. You can still watch this movie straightaway, but you may not understand some parts of the movie.

Since this is just a side story, the content of the movie is not as heavy and complex as the story in The Untamed. To some fans, the movie may seemed a bit rushed. In my opinion, the pace of the story is appropriate since this is like a sneak peek of what happens after The Untamed. At some parts, there would be jumpscares. If you are faint hearted, you might want to watch this in daylight.

The acting was a bit weird and funny at one part. Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui were as per normal like in The Untamed. To me, the weird acting comes from Xiao Qing. When she was in the fire, she was only flailing her arms up and down. I do not know much about acting, but that part seemed comedic. I get that she was desperate to escape the fire, but flailing your arms does not work if the fire is too strong.

There was one rock music that was played repeatedly throughout the movie. It felt out of place. The rock music was played at every battle or intense part in the movie. I do not think that rock music was invented in the historical days. Even if rock music was invented at that period, the rock music played sounded too modern for a historical movie like The Living Dead.

Would I rewatch again? Not as often if I am rewatching The Living Dead by itself (as a standalone). But if I was rewatching The Untamed and Fatal Journey (another side story of The Untamed), I would rewatch The Living Dead as well since all of them are related together.

This series focuses on student-teacher relationship, which is quite a taboo topic. Personally, this series is interesting due to the taboo topic. Not many directors/producers are willing to make such a film and would definitely spark some controversies. I found some of the scenes in the series to be a bit redundant.

The acting is okay, but I do not really feel the chemistry between the two actors. Individually, they are okay but when they are acting together in a scene, I can feel some awkwardness between them.

I think the only times where I would rewatch this series is when someone discusses about this series with me. I could not really remember the whole plot of this series because some parts just lost my attention. It is not that the pace is too slow, it is just that I do not understand what they were trying to do and their purposes.

This series is quite refreshing in the sense where the series has volleyball as its theme. There are still other films/ anime which uses the same theme but not many of these films have interesting plots. In my opinion, this series shows more on the romance side than the volleyball side.

For those who wondering if they should watch the series if they are more interested in volleyball side, I would say no. In the series, you can see one or two tricks. On the volleyball side, the series mostly shows how the players train, volleyball rules and the basic stuff like spike, defend, all those. At most, you can watch one match and even that, the series did not show fully.

While both couples are interesting and have their own parts in the series, the second couple (the brothers) can be omitted and the series can still be good. In other words, the romance between the brothers is unnecessary. Were they included to make the series more unique and memorable?

Fatal Journey is one of the side stories of The Untamed. In this movie, we get to see the brotherly relationship between Nie Mingjue and Nie Huaisang as well as learning about the Nie clan's history. The story in this movie would explain a bit on some of the events that took place in The Untamed. The events in this movie happened somewhere in the middle of The Untamed. I think it is best to watch The Untamed first, followed by Fatal Journey.

I would say that the content of Fatal Journey is quite heavy. At times, I need to pause the movie so that I can absorb what was happening. Fatal Journey is not as scary as The Living Dead (another side story of The Untamed) and has less jumpscares. There were one or two gory scenes but the level of goriness is quite low, just to take note.

The acting is good. Their emotional scenes may make you cry, and they delivered the mood/atmosphere appropriately. Since there are a few intense battles in this movie, do expect screams while they are swinging their swords. They screamed often for the movie to be more intense and a bit dramatic.

The music is also appropriate. There were no music or songs that sounded out of place for a historical drama like Fatal Journey.

I would rewatch this movie often by its own (without rewatching The Untamed first). The story is interesting and always remain relevant in the context of The Untamed. There are little to no negative feedback from me regarding Fatal Journey that prevents me from rewatching this movie.

Initially, I found out about The Untamed through a compilation list of BL shows. Although the drama adaptation of The Untamed is not really BL, the novel adaptation is another level of BL (?). Still, you can find subtle hints in the drama series. (chickens, wearing bright red unlike the Wens, bowing three times, etc.)

I actually stayed throughout the drama thanks to the music, characters, storyline, cinematics, basically everything about the drama. Even if you intended to watch The Untamed just for BL, you should still watch the entire drama because it is really, really interesting and perfect.

The drama is not only based on the two main characters. There are multiple arcs in the drama that was presented and all of the arcs are linked to one another. Viewers will get to know a bit about the families, the different clans, the characters' backgrounds and personalities. The drama is not entirely about romance, and at the same time, not entirely about fighting.

The acting and cast are perfect. Some of the characters are monotonous/ does not have any facial expression because of their personality. Do not misinterpret the lack of facial expression as bad acting! At times, the back-up actors and actresses have their own funny moments (there are some compilation videos on Youtube).

There are actually two albums on Spotify about the songs or SFX played throughout the drama. I like how some of the characters got their own songs, instead of not only limited to Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.

It could be a hassle for some viewers who want to rewatch the drama. Some viewers may procrastinate due to the number of episodes. Personally, I would rewatch only some episodes at once and not the whole entire drama. There will be times where I rewatch the Yi City scenes, there will be times where I rewatch Sunshot Campaign scenes, there will be times where I watch other scenes.

Korea rarely makes BL dramas, furthermore a BL drama that has a happy ending. Although Fantagio Entertainment said that this drama is just "bromance", anyone who has eyes can clearly see that the couple is more than just bromance. (Fantagio, you clown) This just highlights the Korean's mindset towards LGBTQ+ community/ couples/ people.

I really enjoy the drama. The story did not include too much angsty scenes which can cause the drama to be draggy. At the same time, the story did not include too little angsty scenes for the drama to be boring. The story may be a little bit slow to some viewers, but the drama managed to showcase the thoughts and self-doubts of the characters on their way of becoming a couple that is not widely accepted in the society. It portrays a realistic approach and problems in relationships.

I like how at the ending of each episode, there will be different songs played. And all of the songs have nice melodies too. I can see my future self rewatching the drama countless of times. Even though the drama consists of only 8 episodes (it may be insufficient episodes for some viewers), I am able to finish this drama when I am having a break on school days.

The story is interesting, in my opinion. I won't deny that some scenes were hard to watch. Honestly, why did Jiang Jing Teng do that to Shao Yi Chen in the tent? He really thought that by doing that, Shao Yi Chen would open up more to him or stop Shao Yi Chen from running away?

The meaning behind the title is a cool detail (Most HIStory titles have deep meanings now that I think of it). Although I don't support such obsessive behaviors (Shao Yi Chen's behavior is tolerable since he keeps the information/facts about Jiang Jing Teng to himself), their behaviors made the story interesting.

I would definitely rewatch this drama, but not as often. Probably when I feel like watching a full BL series or drama, but have limited time.

Romance between step-siblings is a theme that I can bear to watch. A drama that has such theme can also be my new favorite drama. However, I feel that there is something lacking in this drama for it to become one of my favorites. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel that the chemistry between the actors was kinda off at times. Thankfully, this does not greatly affect my watching experience.

Allow me to rant for a short while about Meng Meng. What she was thinking while writing the love letter from Feng He to Cheng Qing? What made her think that she truly knows the feelings between the two step-brothers? She may not have the intention to ruin the relationship between the step-brothers, but what made her think that it was okay to intervene? Her way of supporting/shipping the step-brothers bothers me a bit.

Would I rewatch this drama again? Yes, but only if I have no better things to do and I have watched the other dramas that are better and more worthy to rewatch (in my opinion).
