The basis of the plot itself was what kept me watching this series, though everything does become quite repetitive and predictive at a certain point.

It's easy to tell that the drama was produced with a low budget. The acting was way too cheesy and left much to desire. (especially the male lead, his acting really improved in the second season). The characters are also not very well developed, even superficial. Thank goodness for season 2. It's way more palatable, you won't miss much by skipping season 1 and going straight to season 2.
