Great story. I'd say it didn't ruin the manga for me, which I've read halfway and I've never watched the anime before. It seems rushed compared to the manga version but if I were to be in the perspective of someone who never read the manga at all before, I'd say it's not, which is good. Excellent casts. They look so much like their manga/anime counterparts and they acted well and fit to their character. I like the movie very much but as someone who doesn't usually re-watch movies, I consider my score of 7 for re-watch value to be pretty high. I feel that there is something lacking about it overall but I can't pinpoint it what exactly so my score is a bit lower than perfect. All in all, it's a great movie, especially to those who love stories about innocent love.
