His character has grown so much!

There's nothing more attractive than a man who's willing to change for love! It's a fantasy that gives unrealistic expectations to millions about what a relationship should be, but what's a rom-com for if not to show the power of love to make someone into a better version of himself! Especially because the Chairman starts off as so self-absorbed to see him wanting to be romantic by buying China and getting a new tux but the bride is all into getting her work done at the office, not the executive? At least it defies gender stereotypes but it doesn't make me like the secretary more!

They're on the cusp of admitting their feelings!

Another hilarious episode, especially as Ha-ri goes all out to keep her identity secret at the office. The CEO is going to be so angry and hurt when he finds out the truth! The two used the tickets from Min-woo to attend a concert together and slowly the ice is breaking as they get to know each other!

Plotline is rapidly developing!!

Male lead is flawlessly handsome and there's obvious chemistry with the FL. It's been a long time since I've laughed so much at a drama!! It's also cute how the drama within a drama on TV mirrors the storyline!

Acting is a bit stilted in episode 1

OK the two male leads are DROP DEAD GORGEOUS so I'm completely hooked, but the acting of the FL with her family and her best friend is a bit stilted. Plus I'm trying to understand how the two are friends anyway, with such different socioeconomic backgrounds! There were many laugh out loud moments as well and I just need a feel good rom-com with handsome Asian men!

Visiting mother steals the show

The couple's first kiss (Spider-man style) is certainly what we've all been anticipating, but it's LeiLe's mother who provides the emotional heart of the show! Her son is reluctant to confess his true feelings and come out to her but she makes it all OK! Her unconditional love no matter who he might fall in love with shines through and is the kind of dialogue that only happens in a scripted dramas! He tearfully admits that he doesn't want to disappoint her but she tells him he's worked so hard and has to take a risk if he's to find happiness, after all he's been working hard and it's OK for him to think about himself! Hank Wang is all raw emotion throughout this powerful scene that I will be watching over and over again! Of course just as our main couple is on the verge, the ex (yet another guy with a hot bod!) appears on the scene and we'll have to wait one more week to find out how he will interfere with budding romance!

One of my favorite episodes!

Young Joon trying so hard to receive the blessing of Mi So's father is the cutest thing ever! He bowed so deeply and humbly and was so deferential to the father just to prove himself acceptable as a son-in-law to a man of such modest means. Episode went completely against the typical tropes of the wealthy, even as far as Young Joon's mother seeks to bring Mi So into the family as a new daughter by seeking her love and acceptance. Both leads make drunken confessions about the sincerity of their love, which has a nice symmetry. I always appreciate going against stereotypes!

Getting more stalker-ish than romantic🤔

Ok so the secret has been revealed and as we all thought, our virgin mean boss was the hero, not the elder brother. How can we accept that the mean boss knew all along that the woman he'd hired was in fact the person he'd made a commitment to as a 9 year old and that he just wanted to be her protector, not her lover⁉️Makes no sense that he could be that devoted without divulging their connection. Plus he treated her so badly for so long. So creepy that he ultimately acknowledged his romantic feelings but not their shared truth. Ugh!

Beautiful example of parents loving and supporting their children

Our main couple is back on track. After their last fight and growing distance, she goes away with the girls who all want to get away from family problems. But JiaFei had to return home eventually and when she walks in, there's her handsome hubby watching a video about why he loves her so much. Melt my heart! She admits that she was feeling incredible pressure to get pregnant again after losing their baby. Part of that pressure was because she could see how wonderful her husband would be as a father and she blamed herself for the miscarriage and cutting off their family's happiness. It's quite beautiful how he assures her that they are a family and how much he loves her and wants her to lean on him. Such a Chinese value! They agree to try one more time for in vitro fertilization and then to let it go for now, hopeful that they can still be parents someday. There's a beautiful scene between Du BoQian and his mother about how she was so glad to have him as a son to raise after her husband died and now he's grown into such a man. Both are teary and tender with each other. They never say how much they love each other, but they sure show it by their closeness and emotion. There's a similar scene with LiFang and her father. I take it as another insight into Chinese culture that parents don't overtly express their loving feelings, but show their love by their actions.

As expected the main couple are having a rocky time of it!

We saw this coming. The main couple are trying so hard to become pregnant that their relationship comes second. He starts working harder and missing medical appointments during the day and avoiding the emotional needs of his wife who feels like she's going it alone. I have to wonder if she wants to become a mother or if she wants to undo the tragedy of her miscarriage and get pregnant again for its own sake. I'm not part of a heterosexual relationship and don't understand so closely the difficulties with getting pregnant for so many couples. Still enjoying this drama very much. Of course I could watch Bruce read the dictionary and I would tune in to watch! ;-)

Main couple is really going through a tough time!

This drama is really great at showing the challenges of getting pregnant. Our main couple with the uber handsome Bruce He as the newlywed husband are having trouble conceiving after her earlier miscarriage. He wants to support his wife who is a ball of anxiety but it's so hard to say and do the right thing. I think their relationship will have some difficulty in coming episodes. I really feel the pain of both of them. Meanwhile the career woman who wants to conceive and be a single mother is still pining for the married doctor (estranged from his wife) who will be moving to Canada. Don't get why she can't see the guy who's right in front of her who's so into her!

SPOILER ALERT! Really sad episode but good acting by the leads!

This episode brought me to tears! We thought our main leads were happily on their way to the birth of their baby but a bad fall caused JiaFei to miscarry. The actors brought such pain and realism to their tragedy. I'm so used to seeing Bruce He's electrifying smile and his dimples but here both he and Guo ShuYao cry...A LOT in such pain. But it's comforting to see them comfort each other.
