A Moment to Remember

Okay....what i loved most about this movie was the stages of Su Jin and Cheol Su's relationship. Only the first 30 minutes are spent focusing on the two mains dating. The meat of the story is during their married life. I suppose the reason i love this aspect of the story is because most dramas now, focus on the chase, actually getting into a relationship. And once that happens the drama is over and this leaves a happy ending of infinite possibilities. i love that "A Moment To Remember" gives that same passionate and "head over heals" feeling (while not being cheesy) after their already married. Married life is often portrayed as an ending (and often a boring and suffocating one) when it doesn't have to be that way. Marriage can be fun and this movie shows that.
Even though the story of how the two mains meet and fall in love is brief, it doesn't feel rushed or lacking at all. they put in enough special little moments to build their characters to make you care about them.
What made me cry most is when Cheol Su cries in this movie. i don't know why, but something about a man crying just kills me every time.
Overall VERY GOOD movie. I stress just how good the acting was (esp. Jung Woo Sung oh god he's so hot) i would recommend this to anyone except if you hate crying.

STORY: This story is unique and interesting. Right from episode one it picks you up and shakes your emotions and is like "not today trick!" From the very beginning it is heart wrenching and wonderful. I love especially how throughout the drama there is only one underlying plot line, instead of a bunch of side stories. This held the drama together and added continuity, every part of the story felt like it was meant to be there. There wasn't any sort of filler parts to add length to the drama. And come on this love story is to die for, it is just oozing with deep intense love you can't not love it.
ACTING: Holy freaking meatballs the acting is the best part! The child actors in episodes 1-5 were all phenomenal, especially the leads but really all of them were great. I was impressed at how well they were able to express their characters capacity to feel. Their characters are young but they are dealing with adult problems and emotions, and the actors were able to emote these complicated feelings very well. And might I just add that Kim Soo Hyun is an actor that was made for crying. Literally one of the best male criers out there right now. When he cries its an ugly cry but its so realistic it makes you feel his pain so intensely. His performance especially was outstanding.
MUSIC: The music was okay, there were some especially pretty instrumental songs at parts but it was really nothing special.
This is a great drama, I cried many times, I literally laughed out loud many times, and it has the perfect amount of suspense at the right times to make you want to watch the next episode. Like I said before this is one of the top 3 best dramas I've ever seen and definitely THE BEST historical drama I've seen. I recommend it to anyone.

Most of the blame should go to the writers of this drama, cause the story sucked big time. Hyun Joong did a decent job acting but like i said it was more of the crap role he got landed with instead of his acting ability cause i've seen him in other dramas and he can do much better than this.
Oh Ha Ni on the other hand had a horrible script to go by and she also wasn't a very good actress. she wasn't terrible either, like i said the main fault lies with the writers. they made Oh Ha Ni the biggest stalker of all time, even by asian drama standards her character was super creepy and obsessive. And of course you know they're gonna get together in the end, and while in other dramas the annoying girl and the snob guy finally find middle ground and i can understand their relationship. in Playful kiss however i honestly don't understand how Hyun Joong's character falls for Oh Ha Ni...she's a stalker.
the over "cuteness" of the already predictable story was almost unbearable. there were multiple times when i just wanted to give up and stop watching. the only thing that kept me going was my deep dislike of not finishing dramas, if not for that i would have ditched this drama after the first three episodes.
idk maybe im being too harsh, and perhaps one day i'll go back and re-watch it, but for now i can say that this is the worst drama i've ever watched

The one thing I initially didn't like about this drama (that there was no romance) turned out to be the best thing about this drama. I've come to realize that friendships and never ending loyalty can run more strongly than love. You guys who've seen this understand. THE BROMANCE FEELS!!! The relationship between Go Nam Soon (Lee Jong Suk) and Park Heung Soo (Kim Woo Bin) was phenomenal! Seriously guys...seriously. But surprisingly the relationship between the two main boys and side male characters like Oh Jung Ho (Kwak Jung Wook), Lee Ji Hoon, and Lee Yi Kyung was equally as touching. Granted not as dramatic but just as "awww" worthy.
Apart from teacher Jung In Jae (Jang Na Ra) all the other female leads were either a let down or just plain sucked. And when I say sucked, I mean sucked BIG TIME. This is definitely an adorable boys movie.
The music was kinda annoying at times which didn't really fit the feel of the movie EXCEPT for this wonderfully sad ending OST they started playing half way through. And it was sooo good. So all in all the music was a bit disappointing.
There is about a 75% chance that I'll watch this in the future and I'll do it for the bromance because it was just heart wrenching and heart warming at the same time. I don't often cry during dramas but this one really got me during the deep truth talks between Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. I'll say it again if you're still unsure about watching this drama, WATCH IT!

enough said you can stop reading, and go and watch this movie…….okay fine i'll review it just a bit.
first off just to say that had already seen both season 1+2 of the anime kimi no todoke, so the whole movie i was just comparing both of them and let me tell you it didn't disappoint.
the story was very true to the anime although (understandably) they change the ending of the movie slightly for time's sake which causes it to fall right around the end of season 1 of the anime. the actors were PERFECT! i can't think of a more perfect choice for Kazehaya and Sawako. the music was just ehh. but i know i'll be watching this movie again sometime in the future and prob even more times farther down the road.
THIS MOVIE IS A MUST SEE! literally me and my friend watched this together and it had us giggling like 14 yr olds, it was too precious. STOP READING THIS AND GO WATCH IT!

Music:
pretty good, nothing that will get you crazy in the feels but they chose good songs that add to the moment
Acting/Cast:
Lee Jong Suk does a phenomenal job yet again (a little bit biased here lol) and he is really the main thing that held this drama together. Han Hyo Joo did a pretty good job but there were some parts that were not the best on her part.
overall they had average chemistry together (unlike Pinocchio LJS+PSH lord i felt that love)
Story:
#1~ the story concept itself is super interesting and original
HOWEVER
#2~ this plot was so convoluted and slapped together, sometimes i didn't know why certain things were happening the way they were. certain events would spring up that were all too convenient or certain choices were made that were obviously the wrong ones
*sigh*….
this drama had so much promise…i honestly wish they would do it again and fix the story, not make it all over the place
i probably will never watch this drama again, not that it was horrible or anything, its just man this script kills me

The story was really riveting, even from the very first episode, it grabs your attention and sets everything up nicely. You always might think you know how the story will unfold but there are always nice twists that are unexpected. Literally there were a couple of moments where I was genuinely shocked or surprised because I had no idea of the outcome of certain situations. It was really intriguing.
Another aspect of the story which was welcome was the way the conflicts between characters were set up. Everyone is interconnected and had history which gave relevance to their problems with each other. None of that "I'm the b****y girl so I'm gonna be mean now for no reason other than thats my stereotype." OR "Oh I'm the hot male lead so let me be perfect and wonderful with no vices, why? because I'm the male lead."
The acting was phenomenal. Not only the two leads but also the supporting cast as well was perfect. All the characters go through subtle personality changes throughout the story, and each actor portrayed this perfectly. Nothing was rushed, nothing felt off, the transitions were all very natural and fluid.
The music was also spot on. Weirdly enough they only had a handful of songs for both OST and background music and kept these same songs throughout the entire drama. However they were never boring or overplayed. They all had an emotive quality that contributed to the feeling of the moment, and the timing when they were played was great.
Overall this was a OUTSTANDING drama, probably the highest ranking review I've ever given (and I hardly give 10s). Really it was SOO good, lots of intense moments, lots of adorable, make you squeal like a 5 year old girl moments. I would definitely recommend this drama to ANYONE. In fact I think EVERY SINGLE KDRAMA LOVER MUST WATCH IT!

While the basic plot line of the story has been done many times before (girl poses as a guy) Coffee Prince executed it in a new and refreshing way. The acting was WONDERFUL, I seriously began to believe that this was a real story and not just a drama. The actors were great and gave really good reactions to the situation even if they weren't the main characters in the scene (which doesn't happen a lot in other dramas). The music was interesting and they didn't play the same five songs over and over again, they kept in new and fresh while still keeping a couple ones that you'll be able to recognize.
I have to say though that my favorite part of the whole drama was the lack of angst. Angst is one of my biggest issues in dramas, and while a little bit is good for a story I keep seeing dramas overuse it so much i just wanna punch the screen/stop watching. An example of this would be Issues/Misunderstandings the characters have with one another. In any other drama while being accused of doing something they did not do, a character would just stand there and take it and NOT explain the truth or their side of the story which would solve everything. BUT in Coffee Prince all the characters are adults who aren't immature and impulsive. they make decisions based on rational thought rather than their fleeting emotions. if they have a problem with someone, they confront that person to try and solve their disputes rather than wasting 4 episodes beating around the bush just to clear up one measly misunderstanding.
Once again the acting was just top notch, super believable with scenes that seemed real and flowed as if they were actually happening. Only one or two scenes in the whole drama seemed a tad bit forced (but maybe i'm just being picky)
The lead male character is just to die for and does the best acting out of all of them. You just wanna open your heart to him cause he is hard not to love

not THAT original, but the whole weightlifting aspect was really fresh and new
also I like how they focused on eating the whole time lol
also loved how Nam Joo Hyuk's character loved the fact that she was a strong woman w/ some meat on her bones
overall:
SO GOOD! this is probably in my top 5 best dramas list. the love story is also so natural and believable and wonderful and warm and fuzzy and just too cute for words

After saying that, I'll now state that this is one of my favorite movies...EVER.
The story was great; newbie wanting to make a name for himself in a tough school where fighting is how you get anywhere or get anything done. I haven't really seen this story anywhere so the plot seem relatively fresh and interesting while still staying relatively simple. The music was nothing extraordinary. Just your typical fighting music, but it wasn't bad and was good for the scenes.
And come on we can't fail to mention the EXTREME eye candy that is present in this movie. I mean seriously holy Shisus there are some fine men in this movie. And while this is what initially caught my attention, it is not the reason I freaking adore this movie.
The best thing is the acting. Yeah Oguri is a tough bad boy who wants to prove himself, there is a quality in his character that automatically makes you love him. He is also real and genuine and doesn't put on pretenses. In many ways he reminds me of Nakatsu from Hana no Kimi. You get the same feel from both of them even though they are also different in many ways.
Overall A++++

The plot was very simple and basic and yet still completely refreshing with a story I hadn't seen before. It had the perfect blend of happy/sad/serious/funny moments. I found myself dying of laughter at parts and crying at other, and even at these scenes that make you cry there is still a sense of lightness to the story.
One thing I loved about this movie was how the main character just went along with it (about the ghost's tasks I mean) there is no dramatic scene where he decides to complete their wishes, he is just swept along with the flow and finds himself in random (and funny) situations that allow him to learn about himself and his life.
The acting was perfect! The acting didn't seem like a movie, it seemed like normal people giving normal unforced answers which added to simple easy feel of the movie.
And there were two HUGE plot twists that I didn't even see coming at all, which flowed with the story seamlessly and perfectly. The added to the awesomeness and depth of the story and were not just slapped on to make the story "more interesting" (which happens in movies a lot nowadays -_-)
Honestly this movie just made me smile

also ppl switched their affections like every other episode.
one thing I DID LOVE was the fact that it was a drama set in Goryeo period. Korean dramas are always set in Joseon period (which is fine and all) but I loved seeing a drama who's style was more that of Chinese since the Goryeo period was more heavily influenced from China.
ACTING : some actors (basically the princes {sans baekyun sorry}) did either a good acting job or a really good one, but none were amazing.
and no matter how much I love IU's voice, so did NOT deliver in this drama.
MUSIC : a 50/50 for me. there were some tracks that were perfect and others that were really bizarrely peppy and upbeat during sad moments that really threw you off and didn't fit the overall drama.
REWATCH VALUE : heck no.
it dragged and I couldn't wait for it to be over, but I'm a completionist so I had to finish even tho I almost died of boredom many times
OVERALL : 4.5/10 for me plot is the most important part of a story and that was the biggest flaw with this drama.
but I have to say that the costume designs and sets were all immaculate.

Acting: everyone was good except Park Hae Jin who had as much emotion as a mannequin
Rewatch: lots of overused archetypes, lots of older Korean drama style angst
Overall: glad I watched it, didn't waste my time, not watching it again ^^
