It was a bit cliche in terms of plot at the start but not in an unenjoyable way. The cast is very very good and the music is by far the best thing about the drama. The tension and the ambiguity of the character motivations and such was really well executed in the first few episodes. The tension around the creepy murderer in the forest and all the friend drama going on built me up for a good story that never happened!
The drama in and of itself was executed very well, but was quickly forgotten in the next episode or simply swept aside to make room for some new and more ridiculous plot point. There was a lot of building up ideas and motivations for them to simply become irrelevant or easily dismissed. While the acting was great, it was very hard to connect with the characters and their personalities, because they weren't very well developed and weren't allowed to be shown enough before stuff started going down. That made it very hard for me personally to feel connected to anyone properly and made a lot of the story and their troubles feel flat and overdramatic.
By far the worst part about this drama is the ending. It gets completely ridiculous in the last 2 episodes and a lot of the bigger things that have been teased and built up from the start begin to fall flat. The climax of the drama wasn't something I predicted, but the reasoning behind it felt silly and forced, just to use a plot twist for the sake of it. The way all the characters act in the last episode as well is completely ridiculous to me, because I have a very hard time believing that anyone could act like that.
The good points about this drama are definitely the music and the acting. The cast is very good and despite the way the plot falls to pieces, they hold up very well and all deliver very good and emotional performances. The music is by far the best part, in my opinion, however. It's a brilliant score that holds the tension and adds to the feel of the drama. It's all very well preformed and really enjoyable to listen to. The way the drama is shot it also very good and the use of shadows and different camera angles made it nice to watch, even if I felt the plot was terrible at best.
It was enjoyable in it's own small ways, but I would suggest passing on Lost Days unless you're a really hardcore fan of one of the actors involved. You won't be disappointed by their performance but I think the flakey plot and melodrama is poorly executed and isn't very enjoyable to watch. I would suggest giving the soundtrack, or at the very least the opening, a listen however because it is truly stellar.
