My issues are a little different

I have a lot of the same issues as other reviewers, so i'll only mention the ones i haven't seen covered yet. One is common sense, and by that i mean simple stuff like not always going places alone AFTER you've been attacked and threatened and have been summoned yet again to some secluded area by persons unknown. I mean stuff like NOT just strolling up to a gang of folks, led by your favorite bully, who you know aren't waiting around to have dinner with you. They hadn't seen you yet, but you just walk up like you can handle them. Um, no, you most certainly can't. And while we're talking about being attacked, i swear SK only has like two laws, three at the most. Nothing ever gets reported, no one ever gets punished (or, not for long), teachers/faculty don't care if students get their heads bashed in, teachers/faculty don't care how often students get their heads bashed in. I saw one series where a teacher was one of the ppl abusing a girl. It happens so often in all these shows that i'm having a hard time believing it's not really this bad over there.

My second big issue is the lack of reality. I know, it's not real but certain elements are meant to be and rightfully so. Stay with me. My point is that these kids heal like Wolverine. I wince more after an ab workout, or tetanus shot, than these kids who literally got the shit kicked and beaten out of them or fell off a scooter or got hit in the back of the head with a damn brick. I won't apply this to the ML because he's a fighter and can take a lot more than the average kid/person, and because he knows how to get hit in a way that will minimize the damage.

Not a bad show, i was at least interested enough to care how things would get resolved, so there's that.

I shoulda noped outta there

Ok, hear me out. I'm only going to discuss two things as the other reviews have thoroughly covered everything else. Tbf, they've also touched upon my issues, but i want you to see it the way i see it, so pls bear with me.

Issue one, and the lesser of my two evils. Sher and Prince being more affectionate with each other than they were with the ppl they were supposed to be dating (call it what you want, they were dating those guys). I'm not talking about sexual affection cuz Sher and Fah had that on lock. I mean the non-sexual pda that would alert anyone with eyes to the fact that you're more than friends, or one or both of you want to be. I have a few guy friends and i remain good enough friends with my exes that we hang sometimes. I'm American (read: 'Murican) and we're a very touchy-feely bunch, but, lemme tell you, not a single one of my guy friends...let me say that again for the ppl in the cheap seats...not a single one of my guy friends canoodles with me, in public or private, or kisses my forehead. I'm Confucius how two grown men didn't understand that this sends the wrong message to literally everyone else. And both of their partners actually communicated...let me say that again for the ppl in the cheap seats who just got back from the restroom...their partners told them they were bothered by this! What kind of sorcery?! BL characters never tell their partners what bothers them, so i was shocked. Shocked, i tell you. Alas, it was pointless because the clueless "friends" Sher and Prince each summarily dismissed their partners' concerns cuz (run-on rant ahead) basically we've always been like this and ppl just assume we're dating for no reason at all even though we never bothered to address the rumors and we've also never witnessed any other "just friends" behave this way so we can convince ourselves that this is normal and btw we don't really care what y'all think even though we totally love you guys so you just have to accept that we're not going to ever change any of our behavior to avoid hurting y'all cuz that's 100% the way adult relationships work and that's what y'all get anyway for being dumb enough to like and pursue us even though the whole world thought we were dating. I hate Sher and Prince. Can you tell? Look, you can have close friends, you can even be affectionate, but in a culture where (at least on TV) a cheek sniff is so scandalous that longtime boyfriends are surprised by it and immediately look around to see who saw it, a kiss on the forehead, or anywhere else, is a big damn deal. And they knew that. Sher likes to play with Fah, i get that, but he doesn't even care that Prince is legit trying to have an actual relationship. A real friend would see that and tone down the pda, at least in front of your friend's potential boo. Just like Sher, my bffs have siblings and relationships and if they went to the hospital i would not stroll in there like i'm literally the only person in the world who cares about and can take care of my bff. It's just stupid. I wouldn't even be like that with my own brother, i'd allow his gf to do her thing. I hate Sher and Prince. They deserve each other so no one else will get hurt by their fuckery.

Issue two. Domestic abuse. Say it with me cuz that's what this was. Not that it's any less abusive when it's same-sex, but if Fah was a woman...pretty sure i can just stop right there. See it now? Maybe that will help it be more obvious to some ppl. Sher hit Fah soooooo many times. If Fah was a woman, this show would've turned into Cops or CourtTV. As it should. This is not ok, kids. It's just not. Ever. I'm sick of BL dramas trying to tell me that gay men are always either abusive or fine with being abused as long as they get the guy. Why do you want someone who hits you when you say something he doesn't like?!?!!!?? Cuz that's all that happened...Fah would accuse Sher or something or other, Sher would hit him. Why does anyone like Sher? Tell me. For realsies, i'll wait. You mean to tell me you, Fah (one of God's gifts), can't find anyone else with long-ish hair who's good in bed? He ain't all that! And don't forget about the emotional abuse. Sher knew what he was doing the whole time he allowed Fah to believe that Prince was the love of his life (after the beginning when he actually wanted Fah to think that, i mean after they got together). And Sher also knew what he was doing when he let Fah think his other brother (can't even recall his name) was another suitor. And again when he went home with stranger after an argument with Fah. And again when he started txting yet another stranger. Master manipulator. And i don't care what his reasons are and which failed relationship made him this way. At this point, i think all of his relationships failed because he's a self-centered little asshole. Even his twin has to manipulate his own crush with...wait for it, wait for ittttttt...violence. These guys don't need boyfriends, they need therapy and lots of it. Men, run for your lives! I wish i had.

P.S. How do i add "Physical Abuse" and his twin "Emotional Abuse" to the cast list for these dramas? Asking for a friend.

Will we ever retire the "he-who-must-not-be-named" ex. Why can't ppl just say "this is my ex, so-and-so"?! Why do we have to pretend not to know each other and give vague warnings like "he's a bad guy", "don't see him again". Wouldn't it be easier and make actual sense to tell your new love that they just met your nasty ex and this is why that person shouldn't be trusted blindly? I'm sick of it, it's stupid, it's not how adults behave. Stop it!

Didn't love that Dae Yeong started dating Min Ji. I don't think he wanted to hurt her, i think he wanted to rush himself in getting over Jeong Ha and make him jealous, and Min Ji was the quickest and safest way he could accomplish those goals. He didn't think it through, which happens to a lot of us, and their little trio was obliterated. More episodes could've given us some redemption for him, but the series was too short for us to see him learning any lessons. He is selfish to the third power, and he stayed that way. He even let his ex kiss him more than once. He helped in the end, but he shouldn't have been forgiven so easily for that crap with his ex, and certainly not for willfully using Min Ji after they'd all been friends for a decade. He should've had a talk with Min Ji before he allowed things to progress with Jeong Ha...and not because 20-somethings should be so mature, but because they'd been friends for a decade! This group seemed more like ppl who just knew each other for ten years. I mean, how could Jeong Ha not know about someone Dae Yeong dated for a year and who broke his heart? This group wasn't as close as the show would have us believe.

Jeong Ha is not responsible for anyone else's actions, but he could've accepted his responsibility for how things played out. Again, he's not to blame, but he played a role. He should have been honest about his feelings for Dae Yeong and he should have asked calmly why Dae Yeong didn't want him to be around Do Jin. I've had it with this kindergarten-level communication. Sit down and talk to each other, and use names and proper nouns and verbs and complete sentences!!! These dramas treat communication like a game of charades.

The OST for this little drama is amazing!

Warning, long review ahead.

Some of what I liked:
Wut/Sol – They realized that new Joe and Ming would be together again and seemingly stepped back. Or, we just didn’t see them anymore. I choose to believe they decided to leave JoeMing alone to flourish or flounder because they’d done all the advising and helping they could, and you can’t make someone leave a relationship if they don’t want to…you can only support them from a distance and hope for the best. Liked that Sol realized he’s just like Joe, hopelessly in love and can’t get over someone. Good on Sol for going back to Korea to get away from the drama and hurt. Too hard to get over someone you see all the time.

Joe – It took his death for him to start feeling a little more confident in himself and seeing his worth. He didn’t exactly reach the pinnacle on that, but he’s making progress and that’s all any of us can really hope for. I can’t be upset because he fell in love, stayed in love, and forgave his ex. Who among us?! If no one was ever forgiven or got a second chance, where would the world be? I’d love to see him continue standing up for himself and voicing his needs…he never did get to “be the one behind” Ming.

Ming – He did fall in love with Joe, but he was also still obsessed with Tong. Yes, I liked that. Feelings don’t just vanish. Doesn’t matter what drew him to Tong initially, he developed genuine feelings for Tong over time due to the proximity of him dating Ming’s sister. He could never be mad at Tong because there was no reason to…Tong never sent out mixed signals or cheated with Ming, or even hinted that he liked men. Ming was the owner of a one-sided love, so he took out his frustration on Joe, and thus, himself. Did he have a reason to be mad at Joe, you ask. Yes. Joe wasn’t Tong, that was the reason. Ming finally got over that, but it was too late and too much damage had been done. Later, Ming was apologetic, he kept waiting for Joe, he didn’t date (or obsess over) anyone else (until he was drawn to old Joe in his fresh-from-a-coma body), he became famous (I love how easy it is to do that in this series! LOLOL!) so Joe would see him, and he started showing his love and making amends (once he knew old Joe was back).

The Story – There was a lot going on, in a good way! So much content packed into each episode that I felt like each one was a movie. The flashbacks lasted too long for my taste, though. And thank you for not giving me yet another school drama! I’m so over that.

The acting – All the primary players did a phenomenal job! Up has got some range and I’m happy to see him playing a different kind of character (than I’ve seen him play).

Some of what I didn’t like:
Ming – You hit that man over the head (Joe could’ve been concussed or sustained brain damage, but whatever) and kidnapped him. Those are crimes, for shit’s sake!! Joe is dead, so turning yourself into the police is pointless, but Ming could have done some community service on his own or something. I just didn’t see him taking responsibility for that.

Joe – I’m sooooo glad that they didn’t do some Walking Dead nonsense and have Joe survive that fall. I’m curious about the new Joe’s soul, though. Did new Joe choose to walk out the hospital door to escape his loop (he did commit suicide after the stuff with his mom and boyfriend) and that’s why there was a body available for old Joe? I kept dreading the moment when old Joe would be zapped outta that body and new Joe's soul would “wake up”. Did anyone else wonder about that? How could old Joe NOT worry about that?! Seems like, since we’re accepting the supernatural here, original recipe Joe would be trying to find that master guy and ask what happened to new Joe's soul and how much time he has. I also secretly wish new Joe became the one who didn’t want to have sex face-to-face. Hear me out. Old Joe knew the reason Ming always wanted Joe to turn around was because Ming was thinking about/visualizing Tong. So now that we’re done with Tong, new Joe should have had a moment of doubt because he doesn’t have the same face anymore. So, is Ming still thinking of someone else, even though that someone is technically him? This was kinda hinted at in a different way, but I think they should’ve explored it. How we look, and how we think we look, are parts of our identity. Does Joe think he looks better or worse than he did before? Does Ming think he looks better or worse? No good answer, right?! We’re all a little shallow. Season 2 issues, maybe?

Tong – He and his wife should be separated because he absolutely used her for her family’s money and connections. Not saying there wasn’t love there, but his actions warranted a separation and some form of estrangement from the family. At least for a while! You can’t just do all that and say all that and cost us this much money and then pop ‘round for Sunday dinner! Who does that?! More season 2 stuff?

Some stupid shit:
Joe – Dude got shot like 17 times in the back and strolled outta that hospital like it was nothing. Ok, he was shot 3 or 4 times, but that’s a huge deal!! Spine, lungs, ribs, he would not be ok for a minute! Shows/movies never do a good enough job (to me) of showing the passage of time unless they write it out on the screen. I don’t know how long new Joe was in the hospital, but when he got out, he should still be showing signs of pain/discomfort while walking, getting in and out of cars, having sex, etc. I’ve winced more from a paper cut than Joe did after being shot in the back 3 or 4 times...not to mention the guy had been in a 2-year coma just months before all this. And while we're on that, no way this guy can wake up from a coma that long and be strong/healthy enough to be a stuntman so soon. Unused muscles atrophy. Directors, pay attention to detail!!

Joe again - Of course Ming was setting you up after the funeral. You know good and goddamn well that boy ain’t finna burn all your stuff. That’s not even how obsession works. He will NEVER give away or destroy your things. Please send Ming to therapy in the next season! Couples counseling could be funny, and helpful of course.

Still Joe – So, we’ve established that it’s super easy to get famous, and you need money. The guy whose body you’re squatting in, yeah, he used to be a model. Why wouldn’t you pursue that instead of going back to your old job with no explanation for your martial arts and stuntman skills?!

Should I just rename this section “Joe”? – Joe had sex with Ming in Joe’s home (their home) before Ming was told that Joe had been found. Later when they went back, Joe was acting like he hadn’t been there in years. He also acted like they hadn’t just had sex days ago. Just stop. Say you regret it, but don’t act like it didn’t happen.

The brother we didn’t know about (finally something that’s not about Joe!) – Why was he always there when Ming went to see the master? I thought he lived there, before I knew who he was. Made no sense. He was just there so we would be surprised to learn that he was a sibling.

The master – Why?

I thoroughly enjoyed this show, and even the music. I laughed, cried, yelled, clapped. Second chances, undying (literally) love, and the lesson that love does not protect you from anything or anyone. Ppl who love you the most will hurt you the most. But, that’s where those handy-dandy second chances come into play. And second seasons. =P

Another dumbed-down Thai drama. I agree with the other low ratings, so i'll try to only mention (in no particular order) the things that weren't already covered in other reviews.

Ok, so this was mentioned in other reviews but i really loved that Sailom turned the tables on his bully...also loved that Grandma knows her grandchild and didn't allow Kang to lie about or downplay his horrible behavior.

Dad/Grandma. Didn't punish Kang for anything, ever. Unless i slept through those parts?

Name. Thought it was a good idea to pull a gun on the crime boss with his two goons not only in the room but also right behind Name. These guys are killers, but didn't kill Name...why? Suddenly the big bad baddie doesn't seem so dangerous. Or maybe he felt like Name was family, a son or little brother? Then show us that!

Boss. Wants to keep the noise down in the hospital (hence the attempt to smother the dad with the pillow) but then you go and fire a loud-ass gun. And miss. You accidentally shot the dad square in the chest in a dark house, but you can't do the same thing when you're actually aiming at a target standing right in front of you in a well-lit room?!

Kang. You got mad at your bf for something his brother did. They should have had him suspect that Sailom knew something and didn't warn them. Could be true or not. If Sailom said he didn't know, then we could've watched Kang struggle with wanting to trust Sailom while knowing how dedicated he is to his brother. Do we believe him or not? If Sailom said he did know, then maybe Sailom thought he'd talked his brother and/or Name out of doing anything criminal and didn't feel the need to warn the family. Kang would feel that he should've been informed and wonder if Sailom kept it from him so he and his brother could keep their jobs and pay his debts. Does Sailom want to be with Kang because he's rich? Now we'd get a real reason for Kang to ask Sailom that question. Kang asks that multiple times in the show but it never makes sense because Sailom has done nothing to make him wonder. But if Sailom had kept this criminal plan a secret, then Kang could realistically wonder. Either scenario would have been better, instead of Kang immediately turning his back on Sailom. I do like that Kang apologized to all his classmates at graduation for his bullying, but it would've been much more powerful and meaningful if he'd also apologized to each person individually.

Sailom. He should never have moved into Kang's home unless it was made clear that only the adults could fire him or ask him to leave. You can't place your employment and housing in the hands of a temperamental teen. And i was upset that he agreed so easily and just left his brother. Yes, his brother is an adult, but they are all each other has, so it just felt out of character for him to move away unless it was for college.

This isn't your, or my, typical review

I forced myself to finish this, and I watched at 1.75X speed. I can't stand the way they make Thai actors draw out some of their lines. It would be like me saying “welllllllllllllll……….what if…………iiiiiiii…………..come……over?” Now imagine me speaking like that 50% of the time. Anyhoo, since everyone else has spectacularly summed up the (few) hits and (many) misses, I’m going to take a different approach and tell you the story I wish I’d seen. Come with me, dear readers, as we reimagine the main couple’s story.

We’ll keep the same backstories for everyone. Him was dating Blue who had a phobic fam and a bestie who was secretly in love with Blue (I can’t say “him” because that would be confusing as there’s a character named Him). Blue is lonely and sad about his family and relationship, but Him has familial/work obligations. He has to handle his literal business and tend to his mother, so he’s not around much. Blue communicates his needs to Him, but Him is so stressed that he doesn’t do a great job explaining his lack of time/attention for Blue. Blue’s fam wants them to breakup and for Blue to stop dating guys. Blue decides to end his pain by taking his life…or coming close? We don’t know.

Fast forward. Him approaches Nail because he looks like his ex and begins a relationship with Nail. Te meets Nail in the same way as originally scripted (at Him’s house) but doesn’t flip out. The next day Te seeks out Nail on his own and asks him for coffee, not a date. Nail is suspicious, plus this is his boyfriend’s friend who’s asking Nail out? da fuq? Of course Nail refuses but then Te explains that Nail looks like his dead best friend and secret crush, and Te would like to just talk to Nail over a coffee or something so he can feel, just for a little while, like his friend is still with him. Te shows Nail a pic of the two besties and this both softens and intrigues Nail. After all Te is a friend of Nail’s boyfriend and you gotta get in good with the friend group, plus, everyone has a lookalike and Nail is curious about his. Te and Nail will become friends and Te realizes how different Nail and Blue are, which makes Te really appreciate Nail for who he is.

Now, while all this was happening, Him and Nail have their thing going on and Him is also realizing that Nail is different from Blue and appreciating the difference. Nail sees a pic of Him with Blue and finds out that he looks exactly like Him’s ex, and Nail is livid thinking that Him saw Nail as a replacement for Blue. First, Nail will give Him a chance to explain and Him will lie and say he didn’t approach Nail due to the resemblance. Nail isn’t buying that so he storms out. Next Nail will talk to his own awesome friends because sometimes we need someone to tell us when we’re wrong or help us see things in a another light, but they agree with Nail that this is fishy. Finally, Nail will reach out to Te. Nail would also be upset that Te didn’t tell him, and Te comes clean and bares his little soul. Te explains that his beloved friend was so unhappy with Him, unlike Nail who seemed to be falling in love with Him. Te will say he wanted to believe that Him had learned his lesson and would make Nail happy and Te didn’t want to ruin that. Te will say that he couldn’t help Blue but he thought that his silence was helping Nail, so he kept the secret. Te knows they are two different ppl, but somehow doing what he believed would help Nail made Te feel like he had another chance to help the friend he failed. Te is crying now, he’s never told all this to anyone and knows it makes no sense because Blue is gone and can’t be helped. Nail will accept this, and he holds Te (not in a romantic way).

That private, intimate moment is witnessed by Type who snaps a pic and sends it to his cousin, Him. Nail is now only speaking to Te, not to Him. Here is where the additional tension between Him and Te will make more sense. They already have what happened with Blue (Te wishing Him had taken better care of his friend, and being mad that Blue was dating anyone else anyway), but now the tables will have turned because Nail is no longer upset with Te but is still mad at Him. Him doesn’t understand since they both approached Nail for the same reason, but Nail will explain that Te was upfront about it (remember when Te told Nail that he looked exactly like his best friend and secret crush?). Him will be upset with himself as he realizes that all he had to do was be honest and Nail would still have given him a chance, because that’s the kind of person Nail is. Alas, the three points of the love triangle wind up alone but OK. Te realizes that he can’t try to date Nail because he knows deep down that he would just want to be the chosen one and prove (maybe to himself as much as to Him) that he would’ve been better for Blue than Him had been. Te decides on his own that he and Nail will be friends. Him keeps his therapy appointments and later (like, way later) reunites with Nail but we won’t know if they’ll try again or not.

Maybe the second season would show their efforts to rekindle, and Te finding his own happiness. And then we’ll learn that Nail really is Blue. Bwahahahahaha!

Somehow Joke and Zo's friend Pat start chatting about Joke's interest in Zo and then Pat helps Joke be around Zo. That's it. That's literally it. Pat doesn't tell Joke how to act or what to say so that Zo will reciprocate Joke's interest or feelings. Pat doesn't even tell Joke to be nicer, he only mentions that Joke isn't the most polite person on the planet (alliteration!). Point is, Pat isn't manipulating anyone or anything, and neither is Joke. Joke just wants to be around Zo so he can get to know him. Pat tells Joke that he will suggest that Zo talk to Joke about the woman Zo likes because Joke knows her well, and then later Pat tells Joke that Zo is leaving town.

Neither Joke nor Pat did anything wrong. You know who did do something wrong? Zo. A few things, actually. Why are you reading other ppl's messages when they leave the room? Red flag. Why didn't you just ask Joke about what you read when he returned? Why assume the worst when this man has done nothing but be good to you, protect you, worry about you and take care of you? Why didn't you thank Pat when you found out that your friend helped Joke have the opportunity to get to know you? Why not appreciate how hard it must have been for Joke to watch you drooling over a woman, and to say he'd help you get a date with her?

I understand that Zo had an experience where a supposed friend kinda pushed him toward a guy who he knew would hurt Zo. Joke didn't know that when he and Pat were discussing Zo, and i doubt Pat knew either. I wish the writers had leaned more into that being the issue rather than having Zo say their relationship was based on a (nonexistent) lie. I wish that Zo had simply said that Joke should've told him about Pat when Zo told Joke about Zo getting hurt by his friend and that guy. I also wish Zo had taken a second to remember that his current relationship may have begun similarly but certainly did not end the same way as before. I also-also wish that Zo, upon remembering that things worked out this time and he has a great relationship with Joke, had been the one to apologize to his friend and Joke for overreacting. Then Pat and Joke could apologize for the fact they inadvertently recreated a very painful scenario for Zo, and Joke could apologize for not telling Zo when he should have.

Now the other couple, the soccer player and his secret relationship, that was a story worth telling! Would've been nice to see some of the things the couple mentioned...the teammates who made him feel like he couldn't be himself, being somewhere (not necessarily together) when ppl flirt with one or the other and they have to pretend that they aren't together or don't even know each other, etc. The stalker storyline should've lasted longer. He should've been given more time to cause chaos for our MC and try to break them up by pretending to be Zo's friend and by still messing with old girl (can't recall her name) which would cause Joke and Zo to be around her more so they could each harbor doubts about the other's feelings for her.

Why?

Too much abuse for a show that wasn't even about abuse. So why did I hang on as long as I did? Because I liked the story and all the characters/actors, except the FL. I can't keep watching because of her. I'm soooo sick of TSTL female characters!! Why?! Oh, cuz we can't have two good, strong female characters in the same show. The sister is all we needed but we kept getting yelled at and punched in the face by the FL.

All she does is punch the ML. Now I know ppl sometimes don't press charges, and I also know that the violence was supposed to be funny, but dammit to hell...you're a friggin adult and a cop, you can't go around hitting this guy every time you see him just because he doesn't remember you or like you (can't imagine why), and because he's a waaaaaay better detective than you'll ever be. Once again, let's get some perspective here, if a guy was abusing a girl like this (and I mean seriously kicking and punching, enough that she could have broken bones and cracked her skull when she hits the ground), no one would laugh. No one should laugh now either. It's not funny. A judo match? Fine. Do that. Do that shit all day. What this character does is criminal assault. And other cops witness her doing this and just shrug it off. But when it's time to put those skills to use and beat up the bad guy, you can't. Da fuq?! Close the door and pretend he's that guy you've liked your whole life. Bwahahaha!! Really tho, you watched this dude murder the guy in the hospital bed, you didn't try to disconnect the IV, you get up to stop him but he easily thwarts you. Um, no, tv show, you will not do this to me! I saw her knock a guy off his motorcycle with her shoe, but this guy gets out of the room? I also saw her parkour her way up a building and run faster than the Flash, but this guy is faster and more nimble than her? Ok. Moving on.

This chick is the worst cop/detective ever! She's obsessed with the ML so she routinely and royally screws up the one case she works on for the whole season, and she enters ML's business/home unlawfully, which leads to another...wait for ittt....wait for ittttttt...assault on the ML. Good times. I quit watching when she arrested him...because he didn't like her, I guess. No other reason as it seemed like he'd already told her the story of her brother's death, so why was she still asking questions about that? Then she forced him into hypnosis (shouldn't she be in court-ordered therapy by now?) which lead to another...wait for ittt....wait for ittttttt...assault on the ML. And the hypnotist (I'm guessing he also works in law enforcement) saw nothing wrong with this. Of course not. That's some mighty fine police work right there.

I don't understand how things work in Korea, but she should have had her badge taken away in ep 2. A behavior shift and attempt at redemption while actually investigating, not obsessing over the ML and not having tunnel vision which makes her ignore tips/advice/leads/evidence/guidance from experienced seniors (the ML and her team) would've made for a much better character and a better show which I would've been able to finish. I'm just glad I didn't stick around for the forced romance with the abuser. And why more than one man liked her is the true mystery here. The FL should not have existed in this drama. The relationships of the ML and his awesome chosen family was more than enough to carry the show.

The stars are for the cast and characters I really did enjoy, they just weren't enough to undercome the horrible FL, both the character and the actress.

Pointless

I'm surprised i made it as far as i did. There are some interesting ideas here, but nothing was done well. This was boring and unbelievable. I gave up when the ML's lesbian mother was worried that her gay son would have an issue with her being in a same-sex relationship. Make it make sense! All they had to do was write that the ML "might" (because these are technically adults, not children) have been concerned about his mother beginning a new relationship, regardless of who with, after her divorce from his father.

I've read that there's a throuple, but from what i saw, there was no indication that things were headed in that direction. I saw the bff walking around like a lost puppy because the guy he has secretly loved forever chose someone else. The two guys who were vying for the affections of what's-his-face never seemed to even like each other as friends. What they have is not a throuple, it's just one guy having an open relationship and getting to sleep two guys (one that he likes romantically and one that he feels guilty for not liking romantically). Yeah, this is healthy and will totally work out.

The Auntie did nothing but scream and "act" like she auditioned for the worse melodrama ever.

I wonder if this is really the way hosting works. Ppl pay lots of money just to sit next to you and drink and maybe hug you a little or kiss your cheek?! Really? Sign me up! If that's all there was to this line of work, there would be no stigma or scandal.
