This episode was crazy - plot twists were so good and totally unexpected
The story itself is quite complicated but this episode totally pulled one on me. SPOILER ALERT: The fact that Serin could be anything but a weakling never crossed my mind. The fact that this actually ends up being a planned, constructed trait and that she uses it to make people pity or sympathise ON PURPOSE blows my mind. She literally manipulates people to get her way, which happens to be selfish and obsessive. The fact she is able to threaten someone with her own life, manipulate a scenario to make it look like she's the victim (because who wouldn't believe the "victim") was so eye-opening.This episode really made me reflect on something I haven't heard about in a while, which is self-victimisation, in a sense where people pre-consider themselves victims to a situation that hasn't occurred, or where people are using their status as "the victim" to an advantage (can you say that this is still a victim?). It's a topic I briefly covered in school but for once, seeing what they meant is so different. Comes to show that society is so complex, twisted over and over and over, and there's so much more out that meets the eye.
