Underwhelmed
I love Park Bo Young and this drama was pretty high-rated on Mydramalist, but ended up being not my thing. I finished it but I wish I didn’t invest my time in it at all. It was about mental health, all 12 episodes of it, but it went absolutely nowhere with everything else.Mental health is a very important topic. We all experience depression and anxiety at some point, we have family members that have PTSD or intellectual disability. It’s very important for the society to be educated about this but reality is that people could not be more indifferent to those strangers with mental health issues. I know firsthand about this, having an autistic family member. I learned a lot from this drama when doctors were explaining conditions of their patients’ health in detail. But all subplots were unrealistic and shallow, and went nowhere. Also main female character was very sympathetic and caring but mentally weak and did not make good decisions and it affected other people. You need special training to be psychiatric nurse. The way you act, the words that you say…
10 for acting, 4 for the plot.

Don’t miss out on this drama
In this society, day and age online criticizm became a norm. People are looking for “plot holes”, for “predictability score”, nitpick on insignificant details and forget to get the true essence of the story. Sometimes there is a comfort in predictable and simple. Not everything needs to be done in over-the-top manner.I don’t understand such negative reviews and low ratings. If I paid too much attention to them I would have missed out on this wonderful piece. This is such a wholesome drama. It’s ominous but also entertaining, clever, offbeat, hilarious at times and also sweet. It has many layers. It’s a mystery, fantasy, comedy and romance. It’s a thriller. It’s a story of a friendship that naturally blossomed into love. It does not have even a drop of cheesiness. Park Bo Young and Ahn Hyo Seop did amazing job portraying their characters. And the music is so, so darn good. See for yourselves.

Beautiful and heartbreaking
This is my first historical k-drama. It was released in 2012 but I only got to it now because I just recently joined K-drama “fan wagon”.I don’t know how to rate this drama. I’m not a fan of historical dramas and only started watching it because of Kim Soo Hyun. He is superb! I also learned to love all of the characters. All actors were great!
This drama is beautiful and heartbreaking. I will be honest, I skipped some of the palace politics parts and not because it was difficult to follow but because there were way too many of them and it could have been wrapped up in standard 16 episodes, not 20. This not a romcom and though there were some funny and lighthearted moments this story is about unconditional love and ungodly amount of obstacles to go through to keep it. Many painful moments, many tears. But also it makes you believe that someone out there can fall in love with one person and be each other’s sun and moon for the rest of their lives. And the music is so breathtakingly beautiful! Watch this drama if you want a break from romcoms and want to experience some serious emotions but be prepared to pay attention, to cry and develop slight anxiety as story unfolds and leaves you with an aching heart at times.
It deserves solid 9 stars.

I don’t have enough words to describe how good this drama is!
One of the most beautiful and unique dramas I have ever watched. It’s insanely good. Unreal visuals. Insane chemistry. Unbelievably good story and original sound track. The OST is in my playlist on repeat. It’s beyond beautiful, emotional, magical, and powerful. It casts a spell on you. It lingers on your mind for days. It pulls you in from the very first episode and doesn’t let go until the very last one.
This is my opinion (so be kind) - it does not compare to any other k-drama (Goblin, Abyss, Doom at your service; which are all good). It’s beyond good! It sets the bar so high… It’s original. It makes you laugh, cry, gasp, experience heart palpitations and bunch of other sensations and emotions…
