My Preferences for Asian Dramas:

Favorite Tropes: Buddy-Cop Comedies, Time-Loop/Time-Travel Stories, Fairytale/Fables, High-School Mysteries, Secretary/Boss Comedies, (not necessarily for the romance)  Crime Dramas, Escape Room Dramas, and Historical Dramas.

Least Favorite Tropes: Sports, Love Triangles, Terminally Ill Plots, Ugly Girl Becomes Beautiful Plots, and Romantic Lead is actually an abusive perv. There are more tropes that are annoying, but these are definitely not my cup of tea.

My Rating Scale:

1 Star: The Worst. I can't believe I actually wasted time watching this movie/show!!

2 Stars: Boring. There's nothing terrible about it, but nothing of note either. (Probably will watch the show while doing something else)

3 Stars:  Mediocre. I enjoyed the movie/show, but probably will forget the plot after a week/month.

4 Stars:  A New Favorite. These are the movies/shows I can happily recommend to friends, and will watch repeatedly.

5 Stars: JUST WOW DUDE. These are the films/shows that are complete masterpieces. From start to finish, everything is a work of art that is worth checking out. 

How I Write Reviews:

Story: This is  probably the most important aspect of what makes a good movie/show for me. Does the plot have anything unique to offer the viewer? Was the story engaging, or does it rely too much on tropes or cliches? Is it fast-pace or a slow-burn? The list goes on. A good story can out-way bad performances, production, or music for me. Definitely makes/breaks the drama.

Acting/ Cast: Are the actors likeable? Does the acting give the characters a unique personality, or are they as bland as card-board? Are the actors suitable for their roles, or is it just off? If there is a romantic partnership, is there any chemistry between the two actors/actresses? That's all the main qualities I'm looking for, if I think of anything else I will add later.

Music: For the Ost, I have a love/hate relationship with. Sometimes an Ost can really add to the scene, and by the bop alone will get me watching the series. However, there are other times where the scene drags on because of the song being played. It is like the plot pushes pause, and that gets a little annoying at times. Ost is not a huge deal for me overall though, and most of the time I'm pleasantly surprised on how pretty the music is. I guess my rating will be if the music is too distracting, or if it fits the scene that it goes with.

Rewatch Value: I only rewatch shows when it is my absolute favorite, or stars a favorite actor/actress of mine. It is very rare for me to dedicate my time otherwise, and there are a lot of movies/shows to watch. This is not a super important factor towards my review.

Characters/Production: I only notice production when it comes to bad CGI or if the green screening is super noticeable. (I've had this problem while watching some C-Dramas before) However, that rarely deters me from watching a show if the story is good. Characters rarely deter me unless they are extreme pervs, or toxic people for no reason.

Overall:

I'm looking for a good story, and acting. If there's a show that has a high ranking in all other aspects,  it is an added plus!!

Favorite Actors (At the moment): Kang Dong Won, Yoon Kyun Sang, Lee Soo Hyuk, Darren Wang, and Kim Bum

Favorite Actresses: Lee Ha Na, Kim Sun Ah, Lee Hye Ri, Go Ah Sung, Shin Se Kyung, Jung Ryeo Won, Vivian Sung, and Park Ju Hyun
