A principal as a father
Story: A typical school drama format as others are but this time our main character is a principal instead of an teacher. I like this as it could approach different issues a principal faces than from a teacher but still they focused on the principal doing teacher duties like solve the issues of the students. I'm fine with this. Some of my favorite issues they dealt with are when a student misses time of school due to injury which leads to them missing out of knowing how to do multiplication table. Up to the point, my favorite story was how a teacher was bullied by their students and how they would overcome it if so. Lastly, I found the most fascinating issue was how a student who bullys others turns out to be the one being bullied/abused outside. The way this student portrays the bullying makes you never think how she has that energy to bully others when inside she's suffering from abuse. I didn't like the over the top repeated nicknames of Naruse calling himself the demon of whatever. The minor character were just enough detailed in the drama. I also wonder why they only focused on one grade level instead of the others. They could have Naruse kocho put more impact on more teachers there.
Acting/Cast: These past 2 years I have been a fan of Eguchi Yosuke's acting. I think he nails these roles of being the father like figure and teaching others what's right. I know that because he has other dramas of this type of role. I think out of the child actors here that did their roles the best they could were the ones who played Yuki and hara.
Music: I'm glad they didn't use a happy upbeat song for the drama. It was more of a soft calming song that fits the tone of the drama more because of the tough issues that are going on.
Re watch: I would say I would come back some days and go back and see this drama again but not like I have to watch it again and again.
Final thoughts: I think if your a fan of school dramas with a teacher as the main character than this is a good choice. It deals with pretty good issues about school and it doesn't have over the top comedy.
