Glorifying Red Flags

Dramas seriously need to stop glorifying red flags and toxicity as "grand gestures" of love. Nam Dosan did so many questionable things: waited at Dalmi's house after they broke up even though she said she needed space (not respecting boundary), left a drunk Dalmi at the park, gaslighting her to forget about the Dosan in the letters (even though he had NO RIGHT to say that, those weren't his letters, he tried to downplay their significance to dalmi). Nam Dosan faced NO repercussions, and yet succeeded in life and got the girl. Like what kind of lessons are the audience supposed to get from this?

Also, it's showing co-dependency in romance. Nam Dosan was always saying yes to Dalmi no matter what she wants. A good partner is one that gives good/constructive advice, not an "automatic yes man" The fact that his dream was Dalmi was so problematic. Imagine basing your self-worth and all your motivation on an external factor (a person) whom you cannot control. If this wasn't a fairytale drama, he is sure to turn into a controlling, manipulative person once their relationship starts to crumple.

I want to say it's not that people are hating the drama because JPx DM never worked out, but the zero character development and toxicity of our so-called "male lead"
