MY RATING SYSTEM

Most of my ratings don't go below 8 due to the fact that I'm a serial dropper and cannot bring myself to finish shows I'm not enjoying. If I like you enough to recommend you to other people, then you deserve a 8+

FIVE (5)

• If I did finish you, be assured I was frustrated, annoyed, and fast-forwarding the whole way
• You may have managed to grab my attention for a few episodes, or had a decent cast/OST/production that managed to balance out, so I feel obligated to give you a 5 for that reason
• Otherwise, a complete waste of my time, production space, acting effort. Just...no.

SIX (6)

•  I watched you more out of obligation to keep up a commitment than whole-hearted enjoyment
• I didn't outright hate you -- you made me feel good sometimes, but ultimately I thought you were pretty stupid

SEVEN (7)

• You motivated to keep coming back to you but you never managed to grab my heart
• I probably wouldn't gush about you to my friends but I still appreciate you
• You might've been a decent show overall but may have screwed over one very monumental thing that turned me off from the whole thing
• Or you might've just very meh in general, no *wow* factor

EIGHT (8)

• I'd recommend you to my friends because I enjoyed you quite a bit
• You were actually a decently good show; anything below 8 is something I regretted watching so well done
• You were very fun to watch, I may have even fangirled over you, but you probably lacked in some key areas that brought you down to an 8

EIGHT POINT FIVE (8.5)

• You had a great well-paced, consistent plot. You had fleshed-out, believable characters that developed well throughout the drama
• I'd consider you a high-quality drama that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to end
• I've gotten deeply emotionally invested in you and your characters and there might've been days and nights I couldn't stop thinking about you
• The reason why I didn't rank you higher is because there are dramas that are better than you in terms of quality
• You may have missed the mark on something quite big, but since you were pretty great in general, I gave you an 8.5

NINE (9)

• Everything in an 8.5 but better. You checked all the boxes an 8.5 didn't and deserve a higher rank for that reason
• I'd count you in my top drama lists. I think you perfectly struck every emotional beat perfectly, and flawlessly incorporated your plot and characters to give me something that was addictive, compelling and emotionally stirring.
• No major faults or screw-ups. I didn't rank you higher because despite your quality, I wouldn't say you've captivated my soul like some other shows have

NINE POINT FIVE (9.5)

• I would lay down my life for you. You've enchanted me from start to finish like nothing I've ever seen.
• I consider you the child of my soul. I've probably waxed poetry about you to people around me, and trust me when I say I will love you for the rest of my life
• You've impacted my life in a deep, meaningful way, whether it was by providing a temporary emotional solace or whole new life-altering perspective
• No show is flawless, but goddamn you come SO close to it

TEN (10)

• I know I said no show is flawless but some shows are too inhumanly perfect
• Like 9.5, you've captured my soul, but you go a step further in terms of quality
• The thought of you makes me tear up. You are evidence of the intellect of humankind, and the sheer masterpieces that can be borne out of amazing talent
• Like...how is it possible to create something this perfect?!?
• May have rewatched you at least 3 times. No biggie.
