I can't think of just anything yet...I will tell you later!

This is undoubtedly my favourite Historical Drama of the year!
It has absolutely everything from superb acting to breathtaking OSTs...A worthwhile watch for sure!
Both Xu kai and Jing Tian have amazing chemistry that makes you root for them at every point!
Though it has its typical C-Drama tropes but it still doesn't disappoint and integrates them very well!

The show has very good Cinematography and is able to keep you hooked till the end! There are multiple changes in terms of Antagonist but it doesn't deviate from its initial plot points! On some moments it feels as if the Characters are not retrospective enough but that matches well with their Unyielding nature! The Characters are developed very well and you would feel their loss if they are absent but because every character has a personality it never really feels lacking!

Overall a very good watch and it's probably one of the C-Dramas that are so long and I completed them without skipping at all!

Why, Just why?

To start, I am a big fan of the actors and i genuinely have no qualms with them but this drama made me question myself.
So to clarify it has some great music and sets as well as the cinematics are all super beautiful but in terms of story it ranks abnormally low for me. It actually felt like I saw the same thing happening three times and that too the result in every situation was the same. Only LYX's character felt like it had depth everyone else just kept on making the same mistakes and at a certain point the story becomes so predictable that it takes away the emotional effect it should have on you. I won't lie the first two phases of the drama were absolutely class but the last one just threw everything off.

If you have to ask me for a recommendation, I would say that watch it if you are a fan of any of the leads otherwise if you just have too much time and want to see something beautiful, go ahead! But don't expect it to be extremely surprising in terms of story and the writing!

The best Melodrama I have watched till Date!

It's just too Perfect, the show has absolutely everything! Even as a Standalone I just doesn't disappoint. The Characters are so well Presented and that too with the acting of Ren and Bai Lu. It is a show which will make you cry but at the same time it would also warm your heart. The set, story, production and the OSTs are all just perfect.

In the end if you really feel you need more you can check out Forever and Ever although that is more of a slice of life show unlike this one which is set in the present time!

Keeping all this aside I ll highly recommend everyone to watch this!
