More than Meets the Eye
I was initially hesitant to start this drama, viewing it as a chore for the challenge. The first few episodes felt clichéd and dated, with predictable storylines. However, I'm so glad I held on. The characters and their dynamics gradually developed, and the story unfolded at a refreshing pace. What truly impressed me was the drama's depth. It explored meaningful themes like the responsibility of game developers with what they create and how it impacts the consumers, the weight of everyday life struggles, and the beauty of understated love. How not all love stories need to be extravagant to look good in the eye of the viewer. The characters, although were ordinary, they were incredibly relatable and their growth throughout the drama was heartwarming. The slow-burn romance and the characters' genuine connection resonated deeply with me. I liked that they did not put too many kiss scenes cause then the kiss scenes actually felt impactful to the overall love arc. (Shhh....the final kiss was just *chef's kiss*) One thing that I would say is that the ML's character could have toned down his immature temperament as the story went on. Initially it felt endearing but at some point it felt too much. The final few episodes he was much better and likable.
The poster might feel clichéd but don't let that judgement get to you for not watching it. Do give it a deserving chance and you'll definitely like it (if we share the same taste that is ><).
Overall it was a refreshing departure from typical dramas filled with forced plot devices and unnecessary romantic tropes. The focus on genuine human interaction and the characters' personal journeys made this drama a truly special experience.
