30-something white guy from Texas with a penchant for rom-coms and family dramas. I have a feeling I'm in the vast minority here (would be curious to see the site's demographics).
My first drama was Kimi wa Petto in 2008 (according to a recently found old text document that I used to keep track of dramas before MDL -- later than I'd remembered!). For some reason, I didn't watch another until Autumn in My Heart over a year later... not a great choice, but thankfully it didn't deter me from trying two more: My Name is Kim Sam Soon and Coffee Prince. I was hooked from then on.
Would like to watch more Japanese and Chinese/Taiwanese dramas, but have gotten perhaps a bit too comfortable with kdramas. I don't even try to be objective with ratings. I won't rate a drama I haven't finished unless I have dropped and watched a majority of it. Reading of others skipping or fast forwarding through scenes/episodes always strikes me as odd -- I will never do this, no matter how bad a show is or how bored I am with it.
I'm using this site solely for dramas. Would rather leave movies to sites like Letterboxd.
