This is what I would refer to as a “chewing gum” show. At first it’s tasty and delightful, then it gets boring; loses its flavor. But suddenly a bubble is blown, so it’s somehow interesting again. Then, just as quickly, the bubble goes “pop”. And ultimately you end up spitting it out.

Basically, it was sort of fun while it lasted.
