I’ve never felt so alone reading comments on a film!TT
I've never felt so lonely reading the comments on a film! It seems like everyone is criticizing it, while I truly believe it’s one of the best GL series out there. Here’s why I loved it:
• Amazing Performances: The leading characters were played so well! Their acting felt so real—you could really feel their sadness and joy, their laughter and tears, and the pressure they faced in their relationship. The chemistry they shared, both before and after their breakup, was incredible.
• Realistic storyline: At first, I found myself judging one of the girls as the reason for their breakup. But by the end of the series, it became clear that both characters had flaws, and most of their problems came from miscommunication and misunderstanding. It really reflected real-life situations where sometimes there’s no clear blame.
• Fresh themes: The show tackled some unique topics, such as how coming out online can impact a couple's real-life relationship? Why shouldn’t we always trust everything they share? and (most importantly, perhaps) what might lead THEM to hide the truth from us?! It also explored the complex and difficult process of breaking up, which is often overlooked in LGBT films that usually focus on the struggles of finding love.
• Not Toxic or Homophobic (as some say!): Lastly, I didn’t find it toxic or homophobic at all, despite what some said in the comments. It seems like some viewers expect couples to either be perfect and stay together forever or be a complete disaster and break up right away! But relationships are usually WAY MORE COMPLICATED than that, and this series shows that complexity in a fun and engaging way;)
I just wish more people would give it a chance. This deserves much more appreciation.
