Promising premise, badly executed

I was excited when this show came on my radar a few days ago. A storyline with an antihero who drives a taxi and metes out revenge/justice on those the legal system does a half-assed job at penalizing — let's do this. Additionally, I really enjoy watching Lee Je Hoon, having seen Signal and very recently, Move to Heaven.

The first few episodes were alright in the way that some shows try to find their footing with a unique premise. I don't know what it is, but this one is lacking in something. It was a mess, cliched, dragged on too much at times, and I didn't care much for the characters. Lee Je Hoon's antihero character could've been examined a little more, like showing a different, intimate side to him, but this was all about him beating the bad guys up.

Maybe the behind-the-scenes problems contributed to this, like the original actress who played the hacker having been replaced due to bullying allegations and reshoots being done, or the scriptwriter being replaced midway because of disagreements with the director. Who knows?

This show missed an opportunity to be something original, brilliant, and thought-provoking in terms of justice and its relationship to the law. It was more of one brooding figure taking on a gang of black suits everywhere he went. Really tiresome.

I stopped paying attention by episode 12-13 and couldn't be bothered to see the last few episodes because there was just no thrill and at that point you're no longer waiting for anything to happen. Disappointing, but maybe Season 2 will be better?
