I Definitely Feel IFYLITA Linger Afterwards

Given that this is made from a novel and the social norms of Thailand, there were a few parts I didn’t like. Overall the series was very well interwoven together.

I really dislike Ohm because he was a POS in the way he handled his cheating and the breakup where he tossed Jom to the ground was f—ed up. I didn’t care for Jom letting bygones be bygones because Ohm and Khamsean are two different people. I don’t care if it’s reincarnation. Khamsean would never be a filthy cheater like Ohm. Also, Fongkaew would never be shady like Khaimuk. What Fongkaew did for for her survival and getting revenge on someone who killed her father. Not the same thing as Khaimuk did.

I didn’t care for both ending as it left a lot of unanswered questions. The first ending where Yai came into the present. Like how? Is this answered in the novel. Stop! I can’t stand it when series leave endings like this where it forces you to read the novel but the novel is in Thai and I can’t read Thai. That second ending. They best be giving us a second season if they left us like that.

The good part was the messaging of the series without being overly preachy. I had read somewhere that Thai culture accepts love is love from its history. That throughout history sexuality isn’t dictated by sexual orientation. It was only in recent history with its new militant government that the country is now conservative about sexual orientation. It is whyThailand is so open to LGBTQIA+ foreigners coming to the country. This is why so many people cannot understand why gay marriage isn’t legal yet. While the people open to it, sadly the government isn’t. This really reaso acted with how Yai’s father is. It wasn’t that he wasn’t aware of both Ueangphueng/Mary’s relationship as well as Yai/Jom’s relationship. While he was aware and didn’t stop it, he still let his conservative views and power grab force his daughter into a toxic marriage and was willing to sacrifice his son’s happiness again to save face kind of bullshit. Pretty much sums up the situation of what’s going on in Thailand regarding LBGTQIA rights. The government will let people be all gay but won’t acknowledge it in anyway that matters.

I would have like to see Robert and Dech to carted to jail where they are striped of their dignity like they had done to their victims. I would’ve especially like to see Robert caned or whipped like he had done to the people who worked for him.

The women in this series really need to be hyped up. From Ueangphueng saving Jom from a whipping by the a-hole Robert. To Fongkaew sacrificing not only her body but her honor so she can ruin the murderer of her father. But the best MVP was the mother telling the father she’s done with his tyranny with their children because he was a power hungry prick.

The best part for me was Khamsean not getting Fongkaew because it helped Jom forgive Ohm and move on from that POS.

Everything about Yai and Jom’s relationship was perfect. I don t want to spoil it for anyone who is going to watch it with talking about them too much. Really the chemistry was there. You get realistic kisses, intimacy and everything BL fans want in a couple. One of the best couples I’ve seen in a while.

One last thing. Ming is the friend we all deserve.
