Not as good as the second episode but fair enough!

After episode 2 I was left with two big questions.

First question was, who is the man with the map-watch? And the second question: is the phantom the same man with the map-watch?

The first question has been sort of answered. I know who the map-watch man is, but Im confused as to whether revealing part of his face was in fact done to show the viewer who is the actor (if you have seen him in other dramas then you will be able to tell who it is). Either way I still cannot tell if he is the phantom... that is the bigger question now. ;)

The suspense was kept on a high level, but the plot was moving kind of slow this episode.

I was a bit worried about how the main character (Hades) would act from now on, if we would see part of the old him from episode 1 or not in the new body. But So Ji-sub is a good actor so I had high hopes that it would turn out okay. I was glad to see bits of Hades in him, if only he would give me a smirk just like Choi Daniel :p

Overall, fairly good episode.

Best episode ever. By far the best episode I have seen in any drama since Deep Rooted Tree's episode 8.

This episode had it all: Romance, comedy, and suspense... and comedy, oh yeah I said that already.

I was beginning to dislike the bit of cliches in previous episode, but this episode erased any memories of it. In fact, this episode has got to be one of the best episodes in drama history. Hands down.

Now, this is what I wanted from GHOST.

Like purplenette I was not expecting THAT. I was thinking so many other things, and I even went beyond what could be realistic, but hell... it was a really good twist.

So Ji-sub's character has escalated from being a bit overdone with the genius like deductions, to being on a-whole-nother level of greatness.

Choi Daniel's character is still... I cant say no more in case you have not seen the drama yet -why are you reading episodes review? :p

The ride from here on will be full of: "wow", "whoa", "Oooh", "OMG!!", "Ohmygee" "holy molly pinky you got me hooked" :p she wont be reading this... darn it.

Great episode.

Still... Hope.

This episode wasn't bad exactly, I just wished they hadn't taken the whole episode to show us what we already suspected would happen (thanks to the previews lol) in episode 11.

They took an entire hour to tells us something that could have been resolved in 30 mins the longest.

Also, I hated that the ending was Se Joo's "big entrance". Kim Shin already knew he was Miranda's grandson so what was the "big entrance" scene for? I just found it too funny.

Still, I hope it gets better or at least it won't keep dragging in the last 4 episodes.

Kyung Joon is so cool ><

This episode was really interesting.

Gil Da Ran is pretty naive. Im also annoyed at her stubbornness that Yeon Jae was the perfect boyfriend. But I also like it that she is being a fool, because the moment for her to discover what an idiot she has been will come, and I hope she changes from being naive person living in her own fantasy world, to a more mature woman since she is in fact older than Kyung Joon but still very much immature compared to him.

Are Yeon Jae and Kyung Joon brothers? This is getting interesting, because there is an obvious link between them, and in this episode we just got more confusion thrown our way... I want to know!! lol

Im also worried about Kyung Joon's body, will he wake up soon or at the end? If he does, is Yeon Jae going to come back to life? I really hope this is not the case. As much as I love Gong Yoo, I wouldn't want to see that happen. Yeon Jae is dead, whether his soul entered Kyung Joon's sleeping body or not we dont know for sure.

Crossing my fingers for a convincing ending.

Pretty good start

I thought the drama had a decent start, but honestly I was getting bored during the first half. I kept watching because I don't drop shows that easily, especially if So Ji-sub and Choi Daniel are the leads. ^^

Choi Daniel came into the picture during the second half of the drama, and boy, did it picked up from there. I though Choi Daniel's character was the one to pull me in because of the mystery surrounding him, and his Lisbeth/Falcon flare, which is hard to ignore. He is awesome in this drama.

So Ji-sub is a great actor, but his character isn't that interesting atm, aside from being very smart and able to put together the whole crime scene in his mind (that was cool) he has nothing else to show for now, and that isn't too interesting as a lot of main characters are portrayed as geniuses.

Also, I wasn't connecting with his acting until the second half when he the story shows a little more of his personal side.

I think it was the way it started, very impersonal in that the viewer cannot make a connection with the main lead because they don't offer any background on his character, until the second half. And that was when I started having a bit of connection with the main lead.

Now I cannot wait for the second episode as it ended pretty suspenseful.

Overall, it seems like it might be another great drama. :)

That is what I call a damn good first episode.

Well... this first episode takes a 10+ from me. It was excellent. I never thought I could be so pulled into a story from the very first episode ever since Deep Rooted Tree.

The first episode of a drama should be able to compile all the emotions of the entire story, so that the viewer is left wanting to feel that for the next 16-20 episodes (as many as there is).

Big's first episode was able to capture from the start. It was cute and funny, but not overly done so that it would annoy you. In mid episode it gives a climatic moment, not to bore you with the romance/comedy, they throw you a dramatic scene and it happens to be the key to the whole story. At the end, it leaves you with question/s like all endings should do in order to hook in for more.

I hope it continues like this, but as far as how the other episodes should go I wont be picky as this one was amazingly well done, and Im in for the long run with this drama.

Gambatte!

This episode kept the same dark tone as the first. I think the drama overall will be like this. I love that. There is a mystery that surrounds our two main leads, as she is looking for her father in Japan, and I'm sure once she founds him it won't be a happy event. Something tells me the whole thing has to do with Sho's past. If it is, then I hope for the love of the drama lord that this drama gives me a satisfying ending whatever that may be. As long as I can accept it.

Loving the OST, its well fitted to the atmosphere of the drama. The opening theme is lovely and it has a melancholic sound to it, which sets the mood for the romance in the plot.

So far, everything I had expected. :)

Interesting Plot

I think the success of a drama has a lot to do with the time its aired.

Rondo, is the kind of drama that might not fit the standards of the new watcher. The camera work, the development of the story... some dramas are never outdated, but others might seem less interesting because of the way its directed and such.

I personally love suspense/crime/romance dramas. It is my preference above comedy and melodrama. I love the world of undercover cops/agents, mafia men, spies.

This drama is the right one for me, although the style of the camera is a bit annoying at times because the director seems to be obsess with slow motion shooting and the swirling... yep, makes me dizzy. But I won't let this stop me. The story is extremely interesting, and the actors are some of the best of both worlds (Korea and Japan). No complaints there ;)

Gyun Joon!!

This episode was pretty good.

We get more background story on our big boy ;) and Im loving that. As he is really the main character, no matter who is playing him (Shin Won Ho as a teen, or Gong Yoo as an "adult") we don't need to know much about the real Seo Yoon Jae for now, just what's necessary to make the comparisons between him and Gyun Joon. Which brings me to say, its a really well written character. Based on what we learned of his past, his actions now make lots of sense, and why he would be so cynical its not just because he is an arrogant teen.

I thought the transformation was done well. Gong Yoo is able to act out the teen Gyun Joon, and show us bits of what Shin Won Ho did with the character in episode one. I totally buy they are the same person in different bodies.

This episodes theme was more directed towards the comedic act, imagine you suddenly wake up with the body of a man in his late 20s or early 30s when you are only 18. No matter how serious and reserved you were before, you will want to take advantage of the situation and venture into the world of freedom as teens live under many rules, especially the no alcohol one ;)

I think the episode was pretty good, we also got some answers of the relationship between Seo Yoon Jae and his coworker. Next episode should be interesting. ^^

Romantic

This episode was really romantic.

At the end, both our main characters fully understand each other in more than words. What they are feeling is something that connects both even when they have different goals, and are living different lives, both are foreigners in their present life. Sho as an undercover cop, in the mafia world, having to do things that go against his principles. Yuna as an immigrant in a country she hates, and of which she knows very little.

Keping the Faith

So happy this drama hasn't failed me yet. We are still on episode 3 so I'll hate to speak soon, but hopefully it will keep going where is going so far.

Okay so we know Yoon Jae was in a complicated relationship with his friend, but this episode also showed us he did love his Gil Da and so there is a bit of hope that he was actually going to tell her he loved her before he got into the accident. What I like about this discovery is that it shows something that happens to a lot of relationships. I think Yoon Jae really liked Gil Da, but might have felt burden by her overpowering love later on. It's natural. Not to excuse his cheating, because Im not, but I could totally understand his feelings now.

Kyung Joon continues to be adorable. I love the message this story is trying to give out. I remember when I was a teen and heartbroken, some adults would say "what do you know about love?" and laugh. I think love knows no age, its not wise, its not smart, its not mature. Gil Da, although the adult in the relationship between her and Kyung Joo, will learn this from a kid. What better experience than that.

I agree that her character is not the most likeable, she is too naive. However, I do buy her naiveness. I have met people like her. My best friend's grandmother would let a thief in the house and she wouldn't see it coming. Really, she was that dense.

I loved this episode, but it was a bit slow in some parts, so it takes a 9.
