One of the best dramas I have ever watched. The actors portrayed their characters so realistically that I was able to understand them on another level.
The dynamic of the friendship between the main characters could be seen. I really enjoyed the fact that they were willing to do any and everything for each other.
Communication is always the key. A lot of the scenarios could have been dealt with differently with a proper conversation.
This showed that no matter how much some else values you, It really depends on how you value yourself at the end of the day.

A Must Watch

This one has to have been one of the best Kdramas of 2023 .
The actors portrayed their characters so well that I really felt like I was part of the team as well.
The ML is just so magical, I really felt his pain, happines and his anger.
The FL growth was very much needed I wasn't even upset about her leaving
The bond between the coworkers was a magnificent one as well
And they welcomed the new character with open arms. His character was the touch to the story that we didn't know we need. I would totally recommend this show to all my friends

One of the Best Cdrama This Year

The Princess Royal delivers an exquisite blend of political intrigue, emotional depth, and a unique twist on second-chance romance. Starring the charismatic Zhang Ling He and the captivating Zhao Jin Mai, the drama unfolds the complex journey of Li Rong and Pei Wen Xuan, two characters bound by duty but torn apart by circumstance.

Plot and Execution
The story begins with a loveless, politically motivated marriage between the ambitious Pei Wen Xuan and the proud Li Rong. Initially, their marriage is a union of convenience, each leveraging the other for personal gain. Over 20 years, their relationship disintegrates into betrayal and resentment, culminating in a tragic death orchestrated by manipulation. The twist? They are reborn at 18, given a second chance to rewrite their fates.

The plot shines as it dives into themes of trust, redemption, and self-reflection. Pei Wen Xuan's determination to rekindle their bond with the ulterior motive of divorcing her later creates a fascinating dynamic. Meanwhile, Li Rong struggles to balance her royal duties with the realization of her past mistakes. Their evolving relationship keeps viewers hooked, blending tension with moments of tenderness.

Performances
Zhang Ling He delivers a nuanced performance as Pei Wen Xuan, portraying his calculated ambition and growing vulnerability with finesse. Zhao Jin Mai, as Li Rong, perfectly captures the complexity of a woman torn between her royal responsibilities and personal growth. Their on-screen chemistry is electric, elevating the emotional stakes of their story.

Strengths
Intriguing Premise: The rebirth element provides a fresh perspective, allowing characters to grow and confront their flaws.
Character Development: Both leads undergo significant transformations, which are thoughtfully paced and deeply satisfying.
Cinematography: Lavish sets and costumes beautifully immerse viewers in the historical setting.
Weaknesses
Supporting Cast: While the leads shine, some secondary characters lack depth, making certain subplots feel underdeveloped.
Pacing: The middle episodes occasionally drag, as the narrative shifts focus from the central relationship to political machinations.

Final Thoughts
The Princess Royal is a compelling tale of love, regret, and second chances, anchored by stellar performances and an emotionally resonant storyline. It deftly explores the fragility of human connections and the lengths people will go to correct their mistakes. Despite minor flaws, it stands as a must-watch for fans of historical romance and time-travel dramas.

Underrated

A Shop for Killers is a pulse-pounding thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon leading the cast, the film dives into a labyrinth of conspiracies, high-octane action, and familial secrets.

Plot and Execution
The story begins with Jian (Kim Hye Joon), a young woman whose ordinary life is shattered by the suspicious death of her enigmatic uncle, Jeong Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook). What starts as an investigation into his supposed suicide quickly spirals into chaos as she becomes the target of relentless assassins, cutting-edge drones, and violent ambushes. Forced to rely on the unconventional skills her uncle taught her as a child, Jian fights to uncover the truth behind his death and her own mysterious past.

The plot’s relentless pacing and unexpected twists keep the audience hooked, while the film balances its action sequences with moments of emotional depth, particularly as Jian unravels her connection to her uncle’s shadowy world.

Performances
Kim Hye Joon is a revelation as Jian, delivering a fierce and vulnerable performance that captures the character’s transformation from an unsuspecting niece to a resourceful survivor. Lee Dong Wook, though appearing primarily in flashbacks, commands the screen as the enigmatic and stoic Jeong Jin Man. His character’s layered backstory adds a compelling depth to the narrative.

Strengths
Action Sequences: The fight choreography is meticulously crafted, blending raw intensity with stylish visuals.
Intriguing Premise: The blend of familial mystery and assassin intrigue creates a fresh take on the action-thriller genre.
Emotional Core: The relationship between Jian and her uncle, revealed through poignant flashbacks, adds emotional weight to the story.
Weaknesses
Overstuffed Plot: The film occasionally juggles too many subplots, leaving some threads underexplored.
Villains: While the assassins provide a physical threat, their motivations remain somewhat generic, weakening the stakes.
Cinematography and Soundtrack
The film’s sleek visuals and dynamic camerawork enhance its tension, while the score perfectly complements its adrenaline-fueled scenes and quieter, reflective moments.

Final Thoughts
A Shop for Killers is a thrilling ride that masterfully combines action and mystery with a deeply personal story. Kim Hye Joon and Lee Dong Wook deliver standout performances, elevating the film beyond its occasional narrative flaws. It’s a must-watch for fans of tightly packed action films with a touch of heart.

Overall, the show was a masterpiece. The characters are so well developed and growth was lovely.

Park Do Ra's character had it hard. She suffered a lot. My only complaint is that she needed to fight for herself more, she needed to grow a back bone. With each problem she had with the ml, she always choose to run away and that annoyed me cause for someone who claimed to be so in love, her first response was always to run.

Go Pil Sung, I felt each of his emotion. I loved how he was an older brother. Both his parents had a lot of control over him in the beginning but as time went on he started to stand his ground and I loved that for him. He was a green flag, I wasn't even mad at him for not believing her when she said that she didn't have a sponsor cause with each problem she was quick to push him away.

Gong Jin Dan, was so delusional that I was screaming. He did everything and tried to burry the FL so that she would have no choice but to turn to him and she kept raising above each situation and didn't need him.

Gong Jin Taek, he pissed me off so much. But he really loved his wife and daughter. His growth at the end was nice.

Jang Su Yeon, was so selfish at times. She didn't really have any growth but she learned from her lesson so that was a plus.

Ko Myeong Dong, her character was basically a filler cause she honestly didn't make much sense to me. She always had an opinion, on things that wasn't even her concern.

Baek Mi Ja , it's crazy scary how much this woman loved money. She kept selling her daughter down to the last for money. Even when she lost her memory, she still sold her phone money. She had to have been one of the worst character, I have ever seen that writers didn't even give her a redemption arch.

Gong Dae Suk, was selfish. She was only interested in the company and who would secure it so that she would have money.

Kim Sun Yeong, couldn't think for herself. She was always listening to what her mother-in-law was saying.

So Geum Ja, was terrible. She kept reminding ML that his mother and father wasn't really his parents. She loved money as well, she took every opportunity and pushed her opinions on her daughter-in-law when it came to money.

Go Hyun Cheol , was a terrible father. He was always investing money and then having the ML pay back cause he always lost it. His growth towards the end was needed.

Park Do Sik, I have a love hate relationship with him. He always wanted to see the good in his mother. He let her get away with too much before he finally drew the line with her. I loved how he stood up to her in the end.

Park Do Sik , He understand after FL supposedly died how much of a nuisance his mother was and he never forgave her for it. His relationship with ML sister is cute

Gong Ma Ri, was the glue keeping everyone together. They really soften up for her. I loved it.

Helpful

I would like to compliment the leads on a lovely job they did for this season. Kim Rae Won really portrayed his character so well I was able to feel all his emotions and his trauma as my own. The dynamic friendship between the male leads was a breathe of fresh air. This show portrayed the friendship between the male leads so beautifully. The relationship between the male lead and the female was beautifully written as well. This show could be easily be one of the best Kdrama of it's time. The characters are so well written. I loved every episode. The plot and twist were most definitely worth it. The cliff hanging ending tho. I am a little worried but really excited for Season 2
