Mary Stayed Out All Night

First of all, I can see what people are saying about Mary. She gets annoying. But, I think she was a good fit. I wish her abilities and talents were highlighted a bit more. Maybe she wouldn't come off as useless and ignorant in some parts. I'm not sure. And don't even get me started on her dad. Most annoying character ever!
With Kim Jae Wook's character, I was a little confused through most of the show because I never fully grasped his intentions with Mary. Either he wasn't good at expressing emotion and motive as an actor, or it was poor directing.
Jang Keun Suk's character was beautiful. This role was a great fit for him and played it excellently. There were even times he would be in the background, still in character doing something weird. Mu Gyul is full of passion, indifference, love and disgust. There were, however, parts where I felt his character changed suddenly, and other parts where I thought he didn't change enough. It was kind of awesome watching Mu Gyul and Jung In towards the end of the show.
The soundtrack is killer! Mostly due to Jang's musical talent. Go and get it even if you don't watch the drama. So good!

In all honesty, I liked this show. I thought it was hilarious at points and heart breaking at others. The arguments and situations were sometimes so far fetched it was hard not to laugh. I liked the slapstick and more nuanced, subtle humor as well. The thing I liked about this drama was that it seemed like a parody of itself. The show was unabashedly cliche and was able to derive humor from all of those cliches.
Ultimately, I wish there were more episodes that showed more depth in the other characters. The problem with some Japanese dramas is that they seem like a summary look into a character. This drama is not much different.
The other thing was the lack of creativity in dramatic events. It's like two things happened in the first two episodes, and then the rest of the show was on repeat.
Overall though, a fun drama with some awesomely funny and ridiculous scenes.

The thing that really bothers me is that Kim Hyun Joong's character is so static and unmoving, it eventually makes me feel bitter and resentful towards Jung So Min's character.
Jung's character is adorable and hard working. I'm not sure why everyone is expecting her to change, since the obvious purpose of this show is to illustrate how Kim's character opens his heart after unconditional love and kindness. I think ultimately people get upset with Ha Ni because it seems like she loses all respect for herself.
Beyond that, Kim's acting is almost worse in this show than Boys Before Flowers. It's like he doesn't even try to be a different character with different mannerisms. Kim's starring role in shows should just be for him to stand and look pretty since it hurts whenever he tries to act. It's okay if you hate me for saying that.
I should try to say something nice about this drama.... I like the parents, Jung's character and her friends. I liked the mother-daughter relationship that Ha Ni and Seung Jo's mom have. I think the story itself has the potential to be good. It's just not.

The "bad guys" are the worst! they are so well acted and fit in the fairy tale theme so well. Also, the dudes are pretty hot too.
The music wasn't that memorable, and the story at times can be fragmented, but I think all that works out in the end.
Sometimes I miss not watching this show, and will watch an episode that I liked most!

To be clear, I think the actors/actresses cast do a very awesome job! I'm not sure if the bland personalities is a case of poor directing or poor writing. All characters do an excellent job creating their parents' young identities and also creating separate ones for their children.
The problem comes just after midway through the series. This is when I feel like this drama should just be called "Things I Should Have Said". With the miscommunication between all characters, and their turmoil-filled emotions, it becomes increasingly frustrating to watch, especially after 4-5 episodes in a row. In addition, some sub-plots were not developed enough, and some characters seemed like they are thrown in randomly. The only character with a lot of depth is Joon.
There was also this weird filming issue for a few episodes: a lot of random zooming in on things quickly that was both unnecessary and inconsistent with the filming of the rest of the series.
By the end I was exhausted watching the anti-climactic go-round. It seemed like the actors (or characters) were too. The passion and emotions shared between the characters became really anti-climactic as well, with a ton of just standing and hugging. If I had a drink every time characters hugged instead of kissed, I'd need to go to the hospital by the end of the series. Seriously. It seemed like this series could not decide if they wanted this aimed at a younger or mature audience.
While I would have loved a much grander ending (something that would have made up for the latter half of the show), the actual ending is more realistic, a better fit for the drama, and completely expresses what the characters ultimately want, namely for Joon.
It's got a wonderful soundtrack, awesome acting for the support they received and if you love a good drama filled love story, this is it. It's not that funny, so pack some tissues. It has a lot of beautiful scenes that make you actually want to travel to the scene locations.
P.S. If you are considering this drama because of Jang Keun-Suk, he does not disappoint.

It's important to note that, while there is some romance, this is mostly a guys' show. Lots of fighting, guns, blood and fatal wounds. A lot of these scenes were too graphic for me to watch. So I sat through part of the beginning with my eyes covered.
There were so many subplots that all seemed to interweave into the main plot. It was almost just as interesting to figure out how people were connected to each other as it was to watch the action scenes. I also enjoyed the side romance of Na Na and Yoon Sung's coworkers.
The only reason I can't give the story a 10 was because there is one episode that gets a little long. But stick with it; it is oh-so-good! A lot of people have been asking about the ending. The ending is fitting for the characters and series.
Also, Lee Min Ho stars in this. Once again, he's great at acting and beautiful. I am impressed at how unique each of his characters are in dramas. I heard he actually had to learn martial arts and train for this role. Even cooler!
Overall, awesome awesome!

The scores are low partly because this looked like it was filmed using a phone camera. The editing and quality are poor. The music is a bit ridiculous. Whenever there's a life-endangering scene, the song "Almost Paradise" comes on. It is totally not appropriate for those scenes. Even the acting was pretty mediocre.
This show should really just be called "The Lee Min Ho Show". Lee's character is the only one with any depth. Ji Hu is pretty much the worst ever. Incredibly pretty, but lacks any acting skills.
Even though this review is harsh, you should still watch the show! It's fun, ridiculous, and Lee Min Ho is a god.

I don't think it's clearly expressed in the movie credits or in most of the movie summaries I read, but this is NOT an original story line. Blind is a remake of the film Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn.
In many respects, the Korean remake fixes a lot of the plot issues in the original film; it's more logical and seems more "realistic". But I also found that the most gripping scene that is present in both films (you know exactly what I'm talking about if you've seen Wait Until Dark) lacks suspense and drama in the remake.
I'm not able to tell exactly what the downfall of this movie was: directing, acting or writing. It may be a combination of all three.
Do I think the movie is worth watching? Definitely. The best part of this movie is that it provides so much perspective on what it may be like for someone who is blind. The movie does a great job getting the viewer to understand some of the daily, and not so daily, issues that a blind person may encounter.
Do I think it'll be your favorite movie? Probably not.
