Panda and Hedgehog

I did like almost all of the characters, with the exception of Panda and Won Il's mom and step dad. I really liked the scenes between Hedgehog and Grandpa and Hedgehog and Won Il. I think it's the first time I really could care less about the actual love story and liked the bromance between the 2 male leads better. Some people have mentioned Donghae's acting. I didn't think it was bad at all and definitely improved throughout the drama.
I only gave the music a 6 just because I really didn't pay attention to most of it. The only songs I remember from the drama are Owl City's Good Time since it's a song I actually know haha. And they also had Gangnam Style in there which I thought was funny bc of all the hype that song is getting. But other than that, I don't remember.
Anyway, I liked it but didn't love it. Kept me interested enough to watch it every week but not to the point that I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode.

When A Man's in Love

First off, I'm being generous with my ratings. I can't quite decide whether I liked or hated this drama. It's probably a little bit of both. The concept was good and got me watching in the first place. The first half was really good and had the potential to be something great but then the last half sort of spiraled out of control. Who doesn't want to watch a man (Han Tae Sang) who's had a hard life, meets a girl (So Mi Do) that makes him want to change it all, becomes successful while quietly supporting and loving her over the course of 7 years. When Tae Sang and Mi Do meet again and he begins to pursue her, their story moves along pretty quickly. Tae Sang was right to the point with his feelings, as was Mi Do. Then enter the third wheel (Lee Jae Hee) and that's where all the drama begins. Sounds like your typical kdrama setup but eventually the story became so far out there it made it seem ridiculous. There were also sub-stories regarding Tae Sang's long lost mother and brother, a murder, a jilted woman w/ a one sided love and the rival of our main actor. I don't feel some of those stories were explored as much as they should have been therefore they ended up being overlooked. At least for me they were. By the time the last episode rolled around I had no clue how everything was possibly going to be resolved in just one hour. There was just so much the writers were throwing at the viewers. I guess, for me, if the writers wanted to add all these extra plots, they should have toned down their focus on the love triangle or just not even introduced those plots in the first place.
Acting/Cast: Many people stayed with this drama bc of Song Seung Hun. I know he was the only thing keeping me going at one point lol. Han Tae Sang was my favorite character and the only one I even care about in the end. He was such a naive man in his pursuit of Mi Do it became endearing. He was learning the ropes through trial and error. He would even research how to interact with a girl on a date and so forth. He had his faults but was ultimately a good man. Han Tae Sang definitely got the raw in of the deal throughout this drama though. Poor guy couldn't catch a break, and he was such a likable character! You really started to hate the writers for how much they screwed with him. Now So Mi Do...there's so much I could say about her but I'll keep it short. She was a very unlikable character. She was extremely selfish, stuck up, rude and immature. The way she treated Han Tae Sang drove me crazy and she showed hardly any emotion. I did like that she was straightforward and got right to the point. She also lost her moral compass for a bit but I feel she tried to redeem herself towards the end. In the end, I still didn't care what happened with her. Lee Jae Hee, I never really liked him either. He wiggled his way right in between Tae Sang and Mi Do even though Tae Sang was the one who provided the very best for him while his brother (Chang Hee) was away. He basically tried to find anyone who would speak ill of Han Tae Sang to, I suppose, justify his backstabbing. He was so naive and blind to the truth it was maddening to watch. He didn't want to hear anything that could make him question the hate he had built towards Han Tae Sang. Besides, he was pretty sloppy at being a "bad guy" towards Han Tae Sang. Supporting characters I liked were Lee Chang Hee, Tae Sang's bff and Jae Hee's brother. He was kind of the voice of reason (to an extent) and the glue that tried to hold everyone together. Loyal friend to Tae Sang and protective hyung to Jae Hee. I also liked Mi Do's mother, her brother, her 2 friends, Roy Jang and his father. Characters I felt were completely pointless were Baek Sung Joo and Goo Yong Gab. Goo Yong Gab was the most useless rival I've ever seen. He really didn't do anything. Baek Sung Joo was also pretty mild compared to other scorned women. They basically worked out and had dumb conversations with each other. Completely useless.
Rewatch Value & Overall: Rewatch value is not likely. This drama put me on a roller coaster of emotions throughout the entire thing. I wanted to drop it but it kept pulling me in. That's why I scored it higher than most probably would. It infuriated me to the maximum degree but left me needing to find out what would happen next. It could have been a great drama had the writers not gone completely insane. It does have it's good points but I feel the bad unfortunately outweighs the good. The ending kind of sucked too. Maybe it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be but they could have also done something to make it spectacular and that just didn't happen. I say, watch maybe the first 10 episodes or so, stop before it heads on its downward spiral, and just create you own ending lol. Guarantee it will be better than anything that happened in the last half of the drama.

A gangster looking man has a confrontation with a pretty college girl and her boyfriend, basically starts stalking her, sets up a situation where she's forced into his brothel as a sex slave and continues to watch her like a creeper.
This movie was good, don't get me wrong, but I'm left with lingering questions about Han Gi and Sun Hwa. It definitely leaves room for interpretation. It's a gritty movie portraying the dark world of sex slavery. Here's my main question after finishing the movie.....was it love or obsession? It's certainly nowhere near a conventional love and I wouldn't call this a love story by any means, but what were Han Gi's intentions? In his warped sense of thinking did he believe he loved Sun Hwa and wanted her to be near him, or was he just completely obsessed with her? How could he completely ruin her but at the same time be protective over her? I still haven't decided on the answer. And the same goes for Sun Hwa. Did she eventually develop some sort of genuine feelings for Han Gi or was it more like stockholm syndrome? I just don't know.
Overall I liked the movie. I would probably only rewatch this if someone else wanted me to watch it with them. It's not something you would just watch over and over. But for its subject matter, it was a really well made movie and the questions it leaves you with make it that much more intriguing I think. If you're not sure, just watch the trailer first. That sealed the deal for me.

Mary Stayed Out All Night

Story: It's obviously not the first drama to do the arranged marriage thing but this time it's not just to keep a rich boy away from a poor girl like most I've seen. Mary and Moo Kyul only enter into a fake marriage when her dad wants to marry her to his friend's son, in part to pay his debts and give her a better life. I liked that they didn't start the arranged marriage to rip a couple in love apart. It was a fresh story line for me. Of course, characters do fall in love and parents try everything they can to separate them but the story isn't overly angsty. This drama was really pretty funny too. I think I've laughed more in this drama than others I've seen. The love story was perfect and you get to see a lot of the main couple together. Usually characters who love each other will spend most of the time pushing the other away or denying their feelings so you don't get to see a lot of the really sweet moments, but this drama delivers in that area. There were some episodes that dragged and left you wondering what the hell some of these characters are thinking/doing but that was only a few.
Acting/Cast: I loved all of the cast for this drama! JGS was perfect for Moo Kyul. I just saw him in You're Beautiful and thought this character suited him so much better. He's good at playing everything! He's good at serious but Moo Kyul had a lighter side to him that was really funny/playful and cute that JGS pulled off amazingly! Mary was really great too. At times I didn't feel she was as old as she was supposed to be but then others, she would whip out some words of wisdom and seem really mature. Also, Moo Kyul and Mary had really great chemistry. Whether they were friends or a couple, it was completely believable. Kim Jae Wook was good in this too. I like how his character sort of lightened up throughout the drama and he didn't seem quite so stiff. It didn't flow as well as Moo Kyul but it was there. Of course the 2 fathers were absolutely annoying, but what's new. The ex-girlfriend wasn't too bad in this either. She wasn't excessive in trying to win back Moo Kyul so that was refreshing. And I loved Moo Kyul's band mates and Mary's friends. Always supporting them and lightening the mood.
Music: The OST was awesome! I love every single song and I usually don't pay any attention to the music. But seeing how Moo Kyul was a rocker, it was kind of hard not to. JGS has an amazing voice and did 3 of the songs, I believe.
Re-watch Value: Yes a hundred times!!! Like I said above, I wanted to start re-watching immediately after completing the drama but I'm going to make myself wait a little bit.
Overall: 10,10,10!!! Although parts of the story dragged and you had moments of wanting to jump into the TV to explain some misunderstanding that was causing unnecessary drama, everything else about this drama makes up for it. All in all, great story, memorable music, amazing cast and characters...what more do you need?! Definitely a must see!

After watching the first episode I wasn't completely sucked in, so I skipped around throughout the drama, got impatient and watched the ending lol. I'm actually glad I saw the ending before watching the complete 17 episodes from start to finish otherwise I would have had a WTF moment. It did however peak my interest even more so I did go back and watch the drama. Obviously it made more sense to me after watching everything play out. Still, having seen the ending and knowing what would happen, I didn't enjoy the drama any less. The story is compelling and the actors were spot on.Story: A little boy gets taken from his family and placed with a new family only to be kicked out and replaced later on. Same little boy grows up and creates an elaborate scheme to wreck havoc on said family. Interesting storyline and never got bored. Shim Gun Wook was an interesting character to watch. At times I couldn't tell whether or not he felt any sympathy to the people he was hurting. I think it was a constant struggle for his character bc at one point in time he was attached to these people. Especially his "brothers" and "sisters". Did they play a part in him getting kicked out. No, but they are part of that family and he wants the entire family to suffer. He was set on getting his revenge.
Acting/Cast: This isn't the first thing I've seen Kim Jae Wook in but it is probably my favorite. Some of his other characters have seemed stiff or the quiet type but not Hong Tae Sung. He's reckless, damaged, always the outcast. I don't think I've ever seen such a sad character. Poor guy started out like Shim Gun Wook and was ripped away from his mother to grow up in a house where no one treated him like family. He was constantly seeking love and attention but when he did find someone who genuinely loved him he pushed them away. The consequences of that were more extreme than he could imagine and, hence, why I'm assuming Shim Gun Wook was dead set on destroying him as well. I just felt so bad for Hong Tae Sung throughout the whole drama. Bravo Kim Jae Wook! He portrayed that character perfectly! Couldn't have been any better! Ms. Shin was also a really compelling character. Probably the most evil, heartless and selfish woman I've ever encountered in dramaland. The lengths she would go to protect her pride and image were extreme to the max! She had no shame and was never once apologetic for any of her actions. Her's and Hong Tae Sung's interactions were the hardest to watch. The way she treated him and the things she said, it's no wonder he was so messed up. Kim Nam Gil was a great Shim Gun Wook. Made you trust him but not without leaving a little hint of doubt. Perfect if you're wanting to get close to those you want to destroy. Also, the way he could be around them day in and day out and keep his feelings in check (for the most part). Most people just fly off the handle but he took it and stayed patient so everything could play out the way he wanted. I didn't care much for Moon Jae In as a character. I guess it's bc I could never do the things she did and treat people like she did. *SPOILER* Even in the end, I felt she brushed off Hong Tae Sung without a second glance even though his world was falling apart too. Maybe it's bc I really pitied Hong Tae Sung as a character that I can't like someone who just adds to his misery.
Rewatch value and Overall: Rewatch value is pretty good. Might pick up on some stuff you missed the first time around. But then again, I'm ignoring the ending. Overall, this was a really good drama. It kept me on my toes trying to follow Shim Gun Wook's moves. And like I said before, even though I had skipped to the ending pretty early on, it still made me interested enough to want to find out how everything led up to that point. Plus, if you're a fan of Kim Jae Wook I highly recommend this drama! You get to see many different sides to him (as his character is a complex one) that I don't believe he's had a chance to play with the roles he's been given.

I'm not really sure how I thought this movie would go before I started watching it, but I didn't really expect anything that happened. Not gonna lie, the ending kind of shocked me. All in all, I really liked it. The pace of the story may not appeal to everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
On a side note, the shootouts were actually pretty good. I find most cops in Asian dramas to be really lame and horribly portrayed and any kind of gun battle silly and very unrealistic but I was impressed by this movie. Good job!

Story: I expected the first few episodes set in the 70's to be boring but they are what set the stage for the rest of the drama and it was nice to see how everything started between In Ha and Yoon Hee and their friends. Fast forward 30 years and you see the effects of what happened so long ago being passed onto their children bc of what they saw or experienced growing up. The children's personalities couldn't be more different than their parents. Especially Jun and Ha Na. This story likes to go from funny, to cute, to heart wrenching then funny, cute and heart wrenching again. It's kind of a vicious cycle but that's just how it works in dramas. There's a lot of laughs, sweet moments and lots and lots of tears between the characters. The story flowed nicely but as always, there are a lot of things not said between the characters that could get really frustrating for the viewer. Parts of it were kind of boring and once I got to the last few episodes I did fast forward or not really pay attention to some parts. I wasn't really interested in In Ha & Yoon Hee's relationship either. It got old pretty fast but the story wouldn't have worked without it either. This drama did have a lot of episodes so it got a little slow at times but still great for the most part.
Cast: Of course, JGS delivered. Just when I think he couldn't do any better, he proves me wrong. He was really good playing both In Ha and Jun and both characters were so different. Yoona also did really well. I haven't seen her in anything before but I thought her acting was really great and natural. The parents were o.k. A little boring. Hye Jung definitely had a case of the crazies though! It wasn't that she was evil, just had to be in control and would make super rash and irrational decisions out of anger and panic. That character was a mess.
Music: The music fit this drama really well. It's the first that I've heard a variety of different genre's and it wasn't all Korean. There were a lot of American songs being played as well.
Rewatch Value: I only scored this so low bc like I said, there are a lot of episodes and some of it could be boring. Plus, this wasn't a rom com. It was a pretty serious heart wrenching story so after some time and maybe fast forwarding some parts it could be rewatched.
Overall: I thought this drama was really great and it exceeded all my expectations (which wasn't much honestly). If you want to watch a true love story and the heart break that can come with it bc of unfortunate circumstances, this is your drama.

The cast was great! Micky Yoochun can really show passion and emotion through his acting making it very convincing for the viewer. I've only seen him in I Miss You and I noticed that about him in that drama as well. The bickering between Park Ha and Lee Kak was cute and funny, but they were also incredibly adorable together. You're heart really broke for them towards the end. Watching Lee Kak and the 3 men who time traveled with him figure out life in the present day was very funny. All 4 of them have great comedic chemistry. I HATED Se Na! I'm not sure I've met a character that got under my skin as much as her. She was truly evil! Tae Mu was bad too but he was pretty much clumsily trying to cover his tracks and getting really desperate. Se Na was just plain out to get Park Ha and completely ruin her.
Just like in Faith, Ali sang a very touching song for this drama and it was played often. I never got sick of it though. She's an amazing singer and loved listening to her song.
Overall, I really liked it. Is it the best I've ever seen? No, but it was still a very well written, very well acted drama. Definitely glad I watched it and will probably watch it again sometime in the future.

I thought Park Shin Hye was good as Go MiNam. She's just very likable. I didn't quite understand what she was doing towards the end but that's the writer's. The members of A.N.Jell were great. I LOVED Jeremy! His character was so happy and energetic all the time. And ShinWoo reminded me so much of JiHoo from BOF, it's not even funny. They are basically the same character and even look very similar (in my opinion). I was definitely rooting for him through the whole drama. TaeKyung was also a good character and Jang Geun Seok did a good job playing him. Yoo He Yi was a very good actress but I HATED everything about her character, Uee. She played her well, which is probably why I hated her so much.
I'll admit, I wasn't completely satisfied with the ending but despite that, it was definitely a good watch. I would probably rewatch this over time. I really liked it.

Because the movie is just over a hour and a half it seems to fly by. There is nothing complicated about this film. No crazy drama between any of the characters. This is a slowed paced and sweet film. I really enjoyed it and would watch it again. If you're a fan of Vic, I would give it a try. You might be pleasantly suprised.

Overall, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi is very good. Cast, story, music, etc. all good. It's fast and to the point, which is also a plus. It has definitely changed my mind about jdramas and I'm giving more a chance.

Basically what I'm saying is the movie didn't flow well. It COULD have been a really great movie, it just fell short.
