Annyeong!

I discovered this lovely site on this glum rainy day by chance after I went to the profile page of an upvoter to my Disqus account who posted a link of MyDramaList on her channel. After which I though to myself, ''Why not? And what could be a more opportune time than this?''. It's April 14th or the memorial of one of my heroes in the field of philosophy and feministic studies which I personally commemorate.

I've been a K-drama watcher since 2003. Stairway to Heaven and Jewel in the Palace were my very first K-dramas. Back then, I still watched dramas dubbed in the native language on television or on VCDs/DVDs. Through those dramas, I became an admirer of Lee Young-ae and Choi Ji-woo while crushing big time on Ji Jin-hee and Kwon Sang-woo. Over the years, I became a fan of some other actors and actresses.

It is through Disqus in which I usually post episodic or end reviews of the dramas (mostly K-dramas). Unfortunately, due to work exigencies and other adverse circumstances, I haven't been watching that many dramas anymore for the past couple of years. But what's more unfortunate is for me to learn that my past reviews were deleted due to the instability of the drama forums in which I posted them. In this light, I created this account in order to post and thereafter safeguard at least one review (pertaining to the K-drama Mr. Sunshine) before it is wiped out once again. Hopefully, if time and circumstances permit it, I can unearth some past reviews from my Disqus account and consequently post them here for remembrance's sake and above all, for the benefit of fellow drama enthusiasts.

In contrast to K-dramas, I've just fairly recently (ca. 2015) been enthused by Chinese historical dramas. I'm mind-blown by their exquisite production, rich and complex narrative, and charisma and graceful movements of some actors and actresses whom I later on learned are dancers by profession (such as Huang Xuan and Liu Shi Shi). Prior to being hit by the Hallyu Wave in the early 2000s, I was into Taiwanese dramas such as Meteor Garden and The Frog Prince. The latest Taiwanese drama I had seen was The Prince of Wolf. In terms of lakorn, I had only seen just a few and Yah Leum Chan was my most favourite.

Anyhow, I think this introduction should suffice. I wish you all a fantastic drama viewing experience.
