I'm still processing because the ending felt so rushed. There were too many things going on in this drama that I think that last 1 hour couldn't possibly wrap it all up...
I love that to the end, Lee Jin Sook was one to keep them all grounded. Her support for Shi Hyun was powerful and acceptance to him. When he burst out and bawled like a kid (literally how he cried), it was a really amazing scene. Their connection and love for each other was portrayed really well. The love is unconditional and I applaud Jin Sook's character for loving him while expecting nothing in return. She's so understanding... even discovering the truth about Soo Min, Shi Hyun, and their relationship didn't make her lose her good judgement. The actress is phenomenal.
I appreciate the bromance between Shi Hyun and Soo, and I can only imagine the betrayal Soo felt when he found out Shi Hyun used him. The way his character reacted was definitely believable, he was lost after finding out the truth, but he was loyal to the end. I really wish he didn't have to die, especially since he died in such a stupid way. He shouldn't have gone alone like that...
Hyung Min... I couldn't stand him earlier on because of his reckless ways, but I wish his character would've been like that to the end. I actually grew to like him after him and Doc came to an understanding. I just wish he used the same passion he used to catch Doc to KILL DIRECTOR MIN AS SOON AS HE SAW HIM!!!
Soo Min, I don't really feel anything for her other than that she and Doc make a cute couple. The ending scene at Doc's house when she's all alone was really sad though.. I really wish they couldve been together.
The reason this drama was such a success is because of Doctor's Son/Shi Hyun and the actor that portrayed him JKH. Every delivery was amazingly beautiful and as gorgeous as he is. He's such a complex character I still don't completely understand him. I don't like the ending, but I think with such a dark theme as this show has, it was inevitable.
The open ending was appreciated but not wanted. I like that the show gave us the choice of his life or death... but I would've like a clear ending for closure. I see why they didn't give us a funeral or anything because it doesn't want SH's death to be set in stone, but his life isn't absolute either.
The overwhelming sense of "undercoverness" fits with the ending. It's like SH/Doc is now undercover with a completely new identity.
I'll definitely miss this show and Doc... Thanks for the amazing show with such wonderful talent.

The government just seems so corrupt, which could be true or not... It seems like the people in charge are involved in some way. The head prosecutor, also Hyeong Min's dad, released the bad guy. They had a talk afterwards, which makes you wonder what their story is and how they even know each other.
The chief police... he's already obviously up to no good. I really think he's just playing them all against each other. He has all these undercovers out but can't be bothered to tell them whose on their side. He lies to them, when as an undercover, he should be the one person they can trust.
For some reason, I can't help but think that Hyeong Min might end up like the chief police simply because he's hell bent on catching Doc, and he does everything his way (like shooting colleagues and criminals UNARMED, he just doesn't scream GOOD COP to me).
Shi Hyun makes me scared for him. He seems to transition fully into Doc at the end of this episode. I don't want him to be the bad guy. He's given up hope after Safari told him about his mom. I think he feels like he caused her death by bringing her the drugs...
Soo Min says she loves him. I personally think it's a little quick for that, but it's possible since he's always there when she needs him and has saved her life a few times. I see how she's really getting wrapped up in this life now since she's built a bond with Jin Sook and even throws away the recording device (although I'm still wondering why she did that).
I can't wait for the next episode, the previews looks awesome.

Despite what some of the previous comments said, I actually think the fact that Shi Hyun is letting his guard down with Soo Min makes it more believable. His whole life is a lie, he's not who he says he is, and whatever relationships he has with Soo and Jin Sook, is built on lies. They don't know who he really is, and he knows that really they're supposed to be enemies as he is a cop. Soo Min comes in and she's the only real thing in his life. At first impression, she's this innocent character that knows nothing of his drug dealing past or who he is. When they decide to take it to the next level, she still doesn't know, and that lets him just be himself, without the extra lies. He probably is falling for her or at least trusting because she's the most innocent person in his life, someone who can give him a fresh start. I love the blossoming romance and it's complications with his "Aunt" Jin Sook's feelings and Soo Min's other attractions.

I must admit, the last episode was a downer for me. This episode really caught my attention though.
This episode put a lot of strain on the fragile, growing relationship of Soo Min and Shi Hyun. He starts to question her and put his guard up when she asks him about Doc Son. Their relationship will never be the same, just by her asking him this. She was a normal person to him, or at least someone who wasn't involved in all the chaos of Doc Son (even after he saved her from the druggies, she still seemed like an innocent girl simply doing what she's told).
Now fast forward some arguments and intense scenes, they find each other at Director Jo's place. He leaves and aborts mission because of her appearance. At first I thought this would end up in one of those damsel in distress scenes, when he saves her from being raped by Director Jo, but what actually happened was much better. It reminded me that Soo Min is an independent woman who doesn't need a man to protect her.
Now at the end, Doc Son ends up seeing Soo Min with Hyeong Min. Doc has a crazy, terrifying look in his eyes (JKH is a great actor). I understand and think he has every right to feel this way, and it'd be weird if he didn't. He feels betrayed by someone he started to give his trust to (which is hard to find in their world). This is really going to destroy the relationship on his end.
I really hope to see what will happen to their relationship next week.
On the side, I really dislike the cop in charge and their whole system. How can they have so many undercovers out, yet actually be going after their own. WTH. Then it also seems Jin Sook and the cop may have been exchanging information... He's getting stuff out of everyone and putting his OWN undercovers against each other. I don't care the excuse, the point is that he didn't tell his OWN, so how can they trust him. I don't trust him.
Plot is amazing, it's not the predictable shows you usually see, which is great especially for the theme.

The police chief makes the system a mess. He's playing his own "undercovers" against each other and not caring about their life.
I'm pretty sure it was the first episode when Doc killed a minor undercover after he was on a phone call with the chief, who didn't care at all. I'm sure he's the real bad guy here, and I'm on the tip of my toes wondering what his plan actually is.
I worry for Doc cause I know at some point, he'll probably be left to fend for himself and if he gets caught, the chief probably won't even help him seeing as he put the blame of Gyung Mi's death on him.
I'm glad that Shi Hyun saved Soo Min. I also really liked how the scene played out where the Chairman was on the phone. Although I'm sure we all know who would be called out, it added intensity to the show and allowed us to really see Doc's reactions. I think aside from attraction, he saved her because he knows she's an undercover cop & he doesn't want cops to drag more cops into the mess and get them killed.

Undercover is really milking the undercover thing...
Everyone and their mom is turning out to be an undercover. This is a horrible police system. I understand their undercover and their cover shouldn't be blown, but at least don't go after your own. The cop in charge is to suspicious for me to trust. First he places an undercover, then he sends another to after him. It doesn't matter the excuse, the least he can do is tell him that he was an undercover cause it was definitely a smack in the face for Doc to find out that way. I honestly really dislike the police system though, especially cause they're going crazy over Doc and I want him to live!
That was my main concern for this ep, it didn't meet my expectations, but after they dropped the ball in the last ep about Safari, they had to clean up the mess somehow. With the major plot twist, they started up a whole nother story for the show... the war against Pusan.
