Great chemistry between the leads
Let's start with the honest truth....Boom's dimples and his super chemistry with the FL in "0nce upon a time..."led me to Prom Pissawat ?. If nothing else, I can die happy that Chen Ming gets the girl finally!
My thoughts on the lakorn?
- chemistry between the leads is ??.
-both Boom and Pimmy did great with the roles the were given.
- Pol wasn't the most likeable guy...in real life, a girl would be an idiot to choose him over the most wonderful supportive Non or even Tam. However, I get why Pan falls for him. It is very obvious that he falls for the FL very early on, however, he is conflicted between his attraction and prejudices.
- Throughout the series I liked Pan, though there were moments where I was frustrated at her decisions I never grew to dislike her. Though her decision to continue denying that Pol was the father was carrying it too far, I actually don't condemn her for misleading Pol about the miscarriage...she was extremely hurt not only over his shabby treatment of her but her belief that he was trying to win her back only for the sake of the unborn child. She also knew that Pol and perhaps even her family and friends would have pressured her to play happy families for the sake of the child. However, I don't support her continuing to hide the child for many years and the actions she took and the lies she told later in her attempt to separate child from father
- there are some who feel that Pol wasn't punished enough however I disagree. He experienced some of what he did to Pan even before the miscarriage. Of course that isn't enough to satisfy my vengeful heart ?. However, he lost his parents ( though his mother dying was good riddance!) wife and child in one swoop... additionally, the guilt that he "caused" the death of his father, his child and the end to his marriage would have been a heavy burden to bear. He also was without his friends and no money to "cushion" his fall, though these he choose to do without. Pan though brokenhearted had her family, friends and child during the 6 years of separation.
What could have been better?
- I feel that Pol didn't realize the extent of his mother's wickedness, till the end he was blindly devoted to her. While I don't want him hating her, would have been nice to see some more of the truths about his horrible mom brought to light especially her attempts to have Pan kidnapped/ raped/ murdered!
- Pol kidnapping Tawan and taking him away to another country???!!!....tsk tsk....nope! Yes, Pan was being unreasonably stubborn in denying he was the father but taking away a 5 year old away from his mom (whom you should have learnt to treat better if you truly loved her) when you are basically a stranger is just unacceptable. Buuuuttttt....this is a lakorn so I choose to overlook the legal/moral/ ethical implications of his as well as her actions.
-I really really disliked Nit, she never really repented her actions. No matter what is used to justify her actions ( Pol used her to get back at this wife, etc etc)....I cannot forget and forgive her and Pol's mother smirking when Pan was bleeding and about to miscarry. I don't know why the writers thought to pair her up with Tam! Poor guy...he deserved better.
-the editing in some scenes could have been better...eg, the first time they kissed ( not counting the forced ones)...they don't show us what happens after ?♀️.
Overall- Pol's cute smile and dimples ( Yes! I am shallow!!!) and his chemistry with Pan, their acting was enough for me to love the show.
